Chapter 27: Avoiding at All Costs
After returning to headquarters, Lee Do Ha asked me to temporarily keep what had happened between him and Jae Sin a secret from the rest of the team, because he did not want his younger brother to worry.
"Being treated like that by an Esper I had never even met before really isn't something pleasant."
Lee Do Ha forced a dry smile, but his eyes looked cold and distant.
"Alright. I'll only tell Zero about this."
Facing Lee Do Ha's disapproving gaze, I still insisted on my principles.
"Zero is the captain of Team Seven. He will be the one mainly responsible for protecting you if Jae Sin comes to cause trouble again. So we can hide this from everyone except Zero, Do Ha."
With his powerful light-manipulation ability, Zero could be considered the strongest Rank S Esper. His combat strength did not lose to a Rank SS Esper at all. If Jae Sin came to stir up trouble, we would not be afraid to confront him directly.
