"TERRA…!"
I screamed the name with all my might, then reflexively closed my eyes as the golem's giant hand that's so damn close to hitting me.
I had actually partially resigned myself to it, as the golem's giant fist was already hurtling towards me.
Several minutes passed in silence, time seemed to stand still.
There was no pain or the terrifying thunderous sound like before.
I slowly peeked out, then my eyes shot open as I realized the golem's giant fist had stopped exactly a meter in front of me.
I waited a few minutes, still no change in movement, until finally the golem withdrew its fist and stared intently at me.
"LORD…VERMILLION…?"
Ah, this was the first time I'd heard the giant golem speak normally.
"Terra…! Your name is Terra, isn't it? I'm Atreus Vermillion…!"
"ATREUS…VERMILLION…?"
The golem remained frozen, like a robot, absorbing my instructions.
