"Seems like someone is getting worried about Kairo" Novan speaks and smirks at Sylvie
"O-Of course... Anyone would be worried if someone was called to the principal and why did you invite me too to Kai's house" Sylvie replies.
"Don't you like him? look how he calls you Sylv and you call him Kai; it has become so obvious that both of you like each other." Novan replies with a devilish smile.
"Shut up!!! whatever." Sylvie shouts and starts blushing.
"Let's just hope nothing bad is going to happen to Kairo."
"Yes..."

"You ready?" Arion asks just before entering.
"Yeah, I am ready..."
We enter the principal's office; it was fairly spacious for an office. I saw 3 other council members on the right side and 2 men dressed in suits in the left. I wondered who they are for... Infront of me, the principal and council president sat looking towards us. We greeted them and they asked me to sit across the table and Arion and Elira stood along with other council members.
I don't know much about the council president, but I've just heard that is from India and his name is Dhruv. He was given the Sin mark when he was 14. His Sin mark is Sin of Pride. Sin of Pride is the best sin if I had to choose of the seven sins. Its ability gives the user the ability of dominance meaning if the other person even feels a tinge of inferiority, then the other person will subconsciously follow the Pride user for the next half hour, but the user will suffer from arrogance, short temperedness.
It might look little useless in comparison to greed but if you are able to use this sin right, u can reach the highest peaks of how much a human can achieve.
"Welcome Kairo."
I definitely did not expect such a warm welcome.
"I assume you know for what we have called you here for, right?" Dhruv asks
"Not really but if I had to guess" I take a deep breath. "Probably because I am still unmarked?"
"No. It's not that. You still have another 10 months left right? It's not about that." Dhruv replies.
I felt a sense of ease but suddenly something inside me snapped. Oh. He must've used his Sin of Pride's ability, Dominance. I can't let myself feel even a slight sense of inferiority now.
"Huh, then?"
"It's about your performance. You see... even without Sin mark; you are almost as smart as Sloth, strength almost on parallel to Wrath and you are quite perceptive. Like how you realized that I started using my Pride's ability." Dhruv replies with smile.
"R-Right... Yes, I did."
"Your performance is a rare one. Many governments have their eyes on you now. They are worried that you might surpass an average Sin user. Especially if you get Pride or Greed as your Sin mark. It might cause a shift in how humans see the value of Sin, I can assume this much. Due to this governments have started keeping an eye on every human of age 17 who still haven't received their mark" He looks at the principal.
Principal who had been silent all this time begins speaking. No one really knows his Sin mark other than the council president himself and higher ups of the school.
"Yes, Kairo, you can rely on us. If there is any problem, you face please let us know. We'll do our best to help you out. Not many students reach age of 17 unmarked and not all of them are as talented as you." Principal replies with a dry smile.
"Yes. Thank you, I will ask for help when needed." I replied with a sense of relief.
"That's all, thank you for your time. You can take my number from Arion in case of emergencies or doubts."
When did he switch off Pride's ability? I did not realize it. Nevertheless, I nodded and I left the room. When I was leaving the two men in suits came up to the principal and talked to him about something I couldn't hear them but it's alright I assume.
Still... it was difficult to digest the fact that governments have begun to keep an eye on me now.
I returned to the class; Class 2-B, Novan and Sylv were waiting for me.
"What happened in the meeting Kai?" Sylvie asked me.
I felt as if all my insides are going to burst out. I started heating up.
"Nah, nothing really. Apparently, my performance is rare considering I still haven't received my Sin mark. So... governments are keeping an eye on me apparently."
"...Huh what? no way." Novan replied in disbelief.
"I effects every human without Sin mark, the president assumes that the day I receive my Sin mark, world power will shift or something like that. I was more focused on not feeling the sense of inferiority since he had activated Pride's ability."
Sylvie was too shocked to even react. Perhaps I shouldn't have said this to them yet. Novan just nods, probably because he still hasn't digested the fact. I can't undo the past. What is done is done.
"So... the first Saturday after we transfer to Japan?"
"Sure, I have no problem with it!" Novan replies with enthusiasm.
"You? Sylv?"
"H-huh? Yeah, me too. I am good with it." Sylvie replies distracted. I wonder if she is still thinking about this government thing.
"Alright."
"Hey Kairo, next month is April, right?" Novan asks and smirks.
"Uh... Yes, it is?"
"That means!! Sakura!!!!" Novan replies
Oh right. It's spring there now.
"Yes."
Sylvie looks a bit... flushed?
"Uhh Sylv?"
"Hehe, looks like someone's getting embarrassed." Novan smirks.
Somehow me and her, both in sync say, "Shut up." and then start laughing in surprise.
"Hey, Kai? I needed to talk to you about something." Sylvie looks at me with such cute eyes. Dear god. Thank you for bringing her into existence. I'll forever be indebted to you.
"Yeah? what happened?"
Sylvie hesitates and then says, "I'll ask you when we are in Japan about that."
Before I could reply, Arion barges in. Everyone in the class is left startled. He walks towards me and says, "Kairo. We need to talk. Come with me outside."
"Huh? again?" Novan asks him.
"Yes, hurry." Arion replies
"I'll fill you guys in later."
"Okay... Bye" Novan replies.
"Bye Kai..." Sylvie replies.
We walk outside the class and into a room where Elira and Dhruv were waiting. I guess they were waiting for me since the meeting regarding me was finished, after we entered Arion locked the door.
"Kairo, we have a problem." His tone was alarming.
