Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg

"Master, should this place be alright?" Jibril and Fujino Asagami appeared in the middle of a vast desert. Fujino Asagami released her Observation Haki to sense the surroundings; there were no signs of life nearby.

"Jibril, I'll leave it to you. If anyone approaches, kill them all," Fujino Asagami said.

"Heh!" Jibril responded happily, then clung to Fujino Asagami like a puppy, her amber eyes gazing fervently at her. "Master, once your strength recovers, can you let me see it?!"

"Mm." Fujino Asagami nodded. Her soul was damaged, and her strength was not even one-tenth of its original state—this was the setting for Fujino Asagami after the system modified Jibril's memory.

"Hehe, thank you, Master." Having received Fujino Asagami's answer, Jibril immediately jumped up in joy.

"Alright, go keep watch nearby," Fujino Asagami said calmly. Jibril nodded and quickly flew off into the distance.

"Alright, System, prepare to extract." After Jibril left, Fujino Asagami contacted the system.

"By the way, System, what is that mission?" Fujino Asagami suddenly remembered. Previously, she had only focused on the rewards given by the system and hadn't asked clearly what the mission was.

"Destroy 10 planes to prove your evil and cruelty," the system's synthesized electronic voice rang out. "This mission requires the host to complete it within 1,000 years; otherwise, it will be considered a failure. The penalty for failure is a 50% reduction in the host's strength and the closure of the system shop for 200 years."

"Ten planes?" Fujino Asagami didn't think too much about it. Something like destroying a plane was far beyond what she could contemplate now. The most important thing was still to increase her strength; once she had the strength, this mission wouldn't be difficult.

"System, begin extraction."

"Yes, Extraordinary Evil Power is being extracted..."

A spatial rift opened beside Fujino Asagami, and thick purple-black energy surged from the crack, flowing toward her. Fujino Asagami didn't move; this must be the Extraordinary Evil Power the system mentioned. However, she didn't feel the presence of any power. If she didn't trust that the system wouldn't lie to her, she would have filed a complaint.

When the purple-black energy entered Fujino Asagami's body, her expression changed completely. Pain! Intense pain! It felt as if her blood was evaporating bit by bit, her bones were melting, and her heart had stopped beating. The Mystic Eyes of Distortion manifested, but now they weren't just an intertwining of red and green; a streak of purple-black surged into them. Her short purple hair was also transforming toward purple-black.

"What terrifying power! Is this Master's true strength?!" In the distance, Jibril watched Fujino Asagami's direction with a solemn expression. In Jibril's vision, the terrifying purple-black energy was spreading outward frantically.

"It seems I can't stay here either." Seeing that the purple-black energy was about to spread to her location, Jibril also hurriedly flew backward. Her intuition told her not to let this energy touch her.

"What on earth is this..." In the sky above the desert, a lean, sturdy old man looked down at the rapidly spreading purple-black energy with a grim face. Just now, he had wanted to probe what kind of existence this energy was, but he couldn't even get close. Before this energy, he felt as if he were being watched by some terrifying entity, and his entire body felt as heavy as lead. If he hadn't forced his internal magical power to break through the constraint at the last moment, he would have been completely covered by this energy by now.

"I've found something interesting." An excited voice suddenly rang out. The old man's expression changed, and he hurriedly jumped to the side as a scythe emitting a faint black mist slammed into the spot where he had been standing.

"An angel?!" The old man looked at Jibril, who was holding the scythe, in surprise. "No! Not an angel."

Although Jibril had wings, the killing intent on her was too obvious; she didn't look like an angel at all.

"I didn't expect an existence like you to be in this world. You clearly look like a human, but you have a strange aura, very similar to those blood-sucking species." Jibril's eyes, filled with a thirst for knowledge, stared fixedly at the old man. "You are qualified for me to take your head, so please, go die."

Saying this, Jibril swung her scythe toward the old man. The old man also solemnly brought out a strangely styled sword.

"Wait!" Jibril suddenly stopped. "I forgot one thing."

Jibril suddenly smiled at the old man. "You are qualified for me to know your name. I will carve it on your head after I take it."

"I have no desire to have my head taken," the old man said with a dark face. "However, I will tell you my name. Being from another world, I am the second magus, Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg."

"Magus? Doesn't matter. But to think you saw that I'm not from this world—how interesting!" Jibril held her scythe with an excited smile. "Now, let me take your head!"
