Chapter 84 - The Indescribable Being on the Top Floor

Toya pushed open the door to the final floor.

The interior was lavish, magnificent—a display of wealth so over-the-top it was ridiculous.

Every inch of the room screamed money.

"Kyaaa!!!"

"There's a pervert!"

Suddenly, a girl's scream rang out.

"Someone's here?"

"Impossible. This is the venue for the Evil God's Banquet."

"A thousand years ago, Abe no Seimei didn't dare step foot here."

"A thousand years later, I'm the only one crazy enough to enter."

Toya quickly dismissed the thought and looked toward the source of the sound.

A bizarre, indescribable monstrosity was waving its terrifying, hideous tentacles, mimicking the bashful pose of a shy anime girl to match the scream.

Toya's expression turned ice-cold. His clear azure eyes went dead. "How dare a freak like you make a face like that?"

With that, he slowly drew Murasame.

He didn't know what kind of creature stood before him, but seeing a tentacled horror act like a shy schoolgirl was enough to make him want to murder it.

For no other reason than it was simply too disgusting.

He hadn't flinched when facing a flood of countless anomalies.

He hadn't shown a trace of fear when besieged by the fake Aki Tomoya and his army of Minions.

He hadn't even wavered after walking through a distorted space for nine days and nights.

But now, he finally snapped.

A grotesque anomaly acting cute? That was the line. He physically couldn't stand it.

"Die, you freak!!"

Toya rushed toward the monster, ready to cut it down in a single strike.

----

In the unseen realm, a massive, indescribable entity dormant in the infinite shadows outside the world—possessing a sacred body comparable to a universe—froze.

It seemed... Toya was angry?

It didn't understand why. According to its data, boys were supposed to love this kind of "gap moe" behavior.

The slimy creature dodged nimbly around the top floor, emitting piercing, shrill screeches that sounded like a damsel in distress.

If an ordinary person heard this sound, their brain would have melted instantly.

Toya's face grew colder. "Oh, so you're going to dodge while trying to gross me out?"

This thing was too agile; it managed to evade his attacks every time.

Dodging was one thing, but it kept using that exaggerated, piercing voice to mock him.

Toya stopped chasing. His eyes turned cold. "If you fought me properly, I might actually respect you."

"But since you refuse to fight and insist on making those disgusting noises... don't blame me for what happens next."

"Gáe Bolg Alternative!"

In the void, a crimson demonic spear slowly materialized.

Toya grabbed the spear and shouted, "Noble Phantasm, release!"

"Soaring Spear that Strikes with Death... Gáe Bolg!"

The crimson spear burst with light as its True Name was unleashed. Violent red energy raged like a storm.

Toya grasped the heavy, volatile Gáe Bolg and hurled it at the creature.

Whoosh—

Gáe Bolg tore a blood-red trajectory through space, the powerful storm destroying everything in its path.

Expensive furniture instantly turned into sawdust; the exquisite floor was ripped apart.

The entire room was obliterated.

The spear flew straight toward the anomaly.

Boom—

A massive explosion resounded through the entire Tower of Holy Glory, causing the living building to tremble violently.

Although Gáe Bolg's target wasn't the Tower itself, the detonation happened inside its "body."

Naturally, the Tower took almost all the damage.

As the thick smoke cleared, Toya stared coldly at the anomaly pinned to the wall by Gáe Bolg. "Scream now."

"Go on. Make those disgusting sounds again."

The entity pinned to the wall paused. It seemed to realize that Toya... actually liked this "hardcore" play?

Kyaaa—

The piercing, sharp scream rang out again, seemingly trying to cater to Toya's "fetish."

The anomaly didn't notice Toya's deadpan expression or the murderous aura radiating from him.

Toya stared at the monster indifferently. "If you won't talk, fine."

An anomaly capable of staying on the top floor of the Tower of Holy Glory was definitely not an ordinary grunt.

It had to know something.

But it seemed unwilling to cooperate at all.

"Then die!" Toya gripped Murasame, ready to rush forward and finish the job.

Suddenly, the system's voice rang out, stopping him in his tracks.

[System Notice: World Commission: "Evil God's Banquet" completed. Please trigger follow-up rewards yourself, Host!]

"Commission... complete?" Toya glanced at the anomaly still emitting piercing screams, puzzled. "I haven't even killed the final boss yet."

"And the Banquet hasn't even finished. How is the commission done?"

Hanazono Yurine had said the Evil God's Banquet was a ritual to select a favored person.

Although he didn't know what kind of existence was doing the selecting, the two parties would definitely have to meet and communicate.

He hadn't met a single communicative being on the top floor.

"Wait... the anomaly?"

Expressionless, Toya glanced at the screaming monster and frowned. "Could it be... this thing?"

Thinking carefully, there were no other entities on the top floor. It could only be the thing pinned to the wall.

"Why does it keep making that sound?" Toya muttered, increasingly annoyed.

The piercing screams were truly agitating. He wanted nothing more than to silence it permanently.

But considering the potential consequences, he forced himself to stop.

----

In the unseen realm, the sacred, magnificent Great One dormant outside the world saw Toya's clear azure eyes and realized the problem.

On the top floor of the Tower, the anomaly pinned to the wall extended a hideous, terrifying tentacle and pointed at Toya's eyes.

"My eyes?" Toya blinked. "Do I need to deactivate the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception?"

"Right... the Mystic Eyes cut through illusions to reach the Truth."

"The reason I can't communicate is that I have the Mystic Eyes active. I'm seeing its True Form, not the form it's presenting to humans."

The azure glow in Toya's eyes gradually faded, finally returning to their original black color.

The top floor was still destroyed, but the anomaly had completely changed its appearance.

It was no longer a terrifying horror that drained his sanity just by looking at it.

The piercing screams were no longer annoying noises. Instead, they became the perverted, incomprehensible squeals of an obsessive fangirl.

Pinned to the wall was a stunningly beautiful girl with waterfall-like long silver hair, a massive silver ahoge sticking up from her head, and emerald green eyes.

The girl was pinned through her heart—a fatal wound for anyone else—by Gáe Bolg, yet she was full of energy, showing no signs of dying.

"Is that... Nyaruko!?"

Long-lost memories flooded his mind, and Toya stared in shock.
