"I almost stayed there forever."
After arriving at the Trash Fox Detective Agency, Kawashima Toya felt incredibly fortunate.
He had actually managed to escape from such an awkward situation. His luck was truly impeccable.
Sitting in his boss chair, Toya couldn't help but praise, "As expected of Fatty Kasumi."
"Can't think about it anymore. My goal of getting a girlfriend is still too far away."
Just then, a lively, enthusiastic female voice came from the entrance. "Kawashima-kun, what can't you think about?"
Yuigahama Yui pushed open the door and waved cheerfully at Toya.
"Why are you here?" Toya frowned as he watched Yukinoshita Yukino and Yui enter. "Don't you have school?"
"We do," Yui nodded slightly, her pretty face looking miserable. "It's only Wednesday. There are still two days until the weekend."
"Then what are you doing here?" Toya asked, puzzled. "Are you skipping class?"
Yukino's exquisite face remained expressionless as she said coolly, "We aren't skipping class."
"We just came to ask about the little Yuki-Onna before school starts."
"Is she home?"
Her connection with the little Yuki-Onna had only lasted a day, but she needed to confirm that the child had returned home safely.
That was why she had asked her driver to pick up Yui early in the morning so they could visit Toya's detective agency together.
Yui blinked her large eyes expectantly and sat down familiarly. "Yeah, is the little Yuki-Onna home?"
"If you don't believe me, contact her directly."
Toya pointed to the old-fashioned telephone on the desk. "Just dial. That's the number for the little Yuki-Onna's sister."
Yui examined the phone, which looked almost identical to an ordinary one.
"Even though I saw it yesterday, it still looks so strange no matter how I look at it."
"But I'm a bit scared. What if the Yuki-Onna's voice is too enchanting and I get controlled?"
"Yukinon, you do it. You're much calmer than me, so you shouldn't be afraid."
"I'll call." Yukino didn't waste words; she picked up the receiver and dialed directly.
A moment later, a gentle, seductive female voice filled with pleasant surprise came from the other end. "Is this Mr. Kawashima?"
"No... I'm not..." Hearing Yusa's voice, Yukino felt as if an electric current had run through her body.
She forced herself to remain calm and return to her expressionless state.
But no matter how she feigned composure, a hint of crimson rose on her impossibly cute face.
"Are you... the little Yuki-Onna's sister?"
To the side, Yui noticed Yukino's change and was shocked. "Even Yukinon can't handle it?"
Even if the Yuki-Onna's voice had only made Yukino blush slightly, that was already impressive.
Yukino was famous for being icy; almost nothing ever moved her.
Toya nearly laughed out loud, his handsome face beaming with a brilliant smile. He asked rhetorically:
"Did you think a Yuki-Onna was that simple?"
"Her looks, voice, figure—everything is unforgettable, even for girls."
"Is she really that amazing? I really want to hear it," Yui said, cupping her chin in her hands, her large eyes filled with curiosity.
It was human nature to be curious about the unknown.
Now that she saw even Yukino react this way, she was even more intrigued.
"I'll satisfy your curiosity then." Toya chuckled lightly and turned on the speakerphone.
In an instant, Yusa's voice—gentle, virtuous, yet unimaginably seductive—filled the room.
Yui was entranced immediately. It took her a good while to snap out of it, her heart still fluttering with lingering fear.
"That voice sounds too good. No wonder Kawashima said neither men nor women can ignore its owner."
Consequently, her admiration for Yukino grew even stronger.
Faced with the Yuki-Onna's voice, Yukino had recovered in just an instant.
Toya watched Yukino and Yui's reactions with interest. "I trust you won't have any ideas about contacting yokai next time."
He felt nothing towards Yusa's voice, given his high Status.
Plus, after training with Shishou for ten days last night, his strength and mental state had improved significantly.
Even without his Status, he could confidently face a Yuki-Onna's presence.
After chatting with Yusa for a while, Yukino handed the phone to Toya with a cold face. "The little Yuki-Onna made it home safely."
"Yusa has something to say to you."
"To me?" Toya was slightly surprised. "Are you sure you heard correctly?"
"Yusa and I have only met once."
He couldn't fathom what Yusa would want to say to him.
There had been little interaction between them; their only connection was the little Yuki-Onna.
Yui rested her chin in her hands, her curiosity deepening. "What does Yusa want to say to Kawashima?"
"Could it be some girl talk?"
Toya shrugged. "Just listen for yourselves."
The speakerphone was on; it wasn't like they couldn't hear the conversation.
"Good day, Kawashima-kun."
As soon as Toya took the receiver, Yusa's gentle, slightly shy voice came through. " Although it has only been a day since we met..."
After a long string of polite formalities, Yusa finally stated her purpose.
"Kawashima-kun, I hope you can tell me your address. I would like to bring my sister to visit and express our gratitude."
"Address, huh..."
Toya didn't think much of it and gave her the address of the Trash Fox Detective Agency directly.
