The monster moved without hesitation toward Clara. Its steps slammed into the shattered ground. The impact reverberated across the yard again. Its speed increased suddenly.
At that moment, all of them clearly understood how it was adapting to the battle. It had identified the greatest threat and was eliminating it first.
Clara froze at that moment.
The towering blazing figure charged at her like a maddened beast. Flames trailed behind its massive frame. The sight was too much and too sudden for her brain that she was frozen.
"Clara!" Daniel shouted.
He lunged forward, but he knew he would not reach her in time.
Then… a sharp whistle cut through the air.
An arrow streaked from above and struck the monster's chest.
Tobias had activated his skill. Ether flared along the arrowhead on impact. A binding force detonated outward and momentarily locked the guardian's movement.
The monster's charge stopped in the middle of its steps.
It roared in fury.
