Chapter 59 - End of 3rd Floor, The Heartless Army (4)

He could feel powerful magic emanating from the north gate.

This wasn't a raid led by a large guild; he had made sure to make it clear he was going in alone.

Woong!

Jin-hyuk frowned, sensing a disgusting, unpleasant energy.

There was no doubt.

A Necromancer—from the Demonic Human Association.

'They really don't know when to give up.'

Cadrick had personally come to untangle the twisted hierarchy.

This would be fun.

"Broadcast viewers, I'll turn the stream back on in a while." Jin-hyuk said.

-dead998: What? Are you a eunuch… pausing the stream like this?

-BaeksuOverTusu: Hyung, viewers are increasing! Paddle while the water rises!

-VeteranIdentification: Is there any BJ with something more important than this?

-SaeYoungEonHwan: At least tell us when it will be back.

The viewers were just starting to enjoy his content.

Of course, some backlash came from pausing the stream.

"I don't know when it'll be back. Check for yourself."

-Dead998: How do we subscribe?

-PizzaSweetAndSourPork: I'm trying to understand this concept fully.

-SaeYoungEonHwan: I like this selfish approach.

-VeteranIdentification: Looking forward to the boss fight.

End of chat.

[Broadcast has ended.]

The first broadcast was complete. The chat activity stopped.

"This is more tiring than I thought."

Jin-hyuk scratched his head. Handling dozens of viewers was far easier than thousands. He'd need to get used to it—no one is famous at the start.

Now, with the eyes gone, it was time to deal with Cadrick.

'Hope you've prepared properly this time.'

Because Jin-hyuk had a twisted personality; he enjoyed demolishing what others worked hard to build—especially when the opponent was simple trash.

At the Supreme Harmony Gate in the north of the temple:

Dozens of necromancers struggled to reach the four-story pagoda, where the key to the inner chamber was stored.

They had been trying for almost 10 hours, blocked by a thick defensive layer of stone statues.

"Gather the troops! Break through here!"

Cadrick pulled on a strap around his neck, releasing magic. Frustration surged as nothing worked.

If this continued, his necromancers would be exhausted before reaching the boss.

"Y-yes!"

"Put the Durahan in the front! Focus high-differential damage!"

"I'll cast my curse and unleash everything!"

[Cadrick activates Lv5 Night of the Dead!]

[Johan activates Lv3 Weakened!]

[Setsuna activates Lv2 Fatigue!]

"Kuak!"

"Kik!"

The undead army roared.

Most were skeleton warriors or archers, with mid-sized monsters like Durahans occasionally visible.

'Impressive.'

Jin-hyuk pulled out popcorn and cola from his subspace inventory. Not a common sight: necromancers controlling hundreds of units.

"Gooooo!"

"Kuuuuuk!"

Hundreds of stone statues had been knocked down at the entrance. They weren't the same as before; now they moved like a trained army, wielding armor, shields, and spears.

Kwakwakwang!

The first rows clashed.

"Kuak!"

"Gooo!"

Dust of bone and rock fell everywhere. Two armies collided, each trying to overwhelm the other.

Time passed. The tight balance slowly tilted, subtle but noticeable.

'Oh… they might break through.'

Surprisingly, the necromancers and undead fought like fearless battalions. Their obsession was like poison.

"Hmm…"

Cadrick's presence was inconvenient but expected. Even if they reached the key, only Jin-hyuk would claim the spotlight.

Eliminating unwanted competitors early—that was the solution.

Jin-hyuk stood. He didn't know if either side was strong—or if they were equally weak.

Just a little intervention… and the balance would collapse.

'I need to aim where it hurts most.'

He already knew the weak spots that would make them bleed the most.

Woong!

Jin-hyuk gathered his magic.

A new variable entered the battlefield.

"W-what?"

A necromancer, previously using black magic, suddenly switched to wind magic.

Two surprises: a human appeared—and wielded a blade brimming with sword energy.

He raised a shield, slightly increasing survival odds.

A black curtain of magic spread.

He had activated his best defense skill—but it was almost useless.

"…Ak?"

Slash!

Blood gushed from the necromancer's cleanly decapitated throat.

The corpse staggered, then collapsed.

Seconds passed before the others noticed Jin-hyuk.

He dissipated his sword energy to save his magic.

All eyes were drawn to the dagger like moths to a flame.

"Such a surprise!"

"A player? How many?"

"I'm alone. There's no one else!"

"Not funny. What can you do by yourself?"

He was nothing but a fly.

"Kill him!"

Skeleton archers aimed poison, frost, and fire arrows simultaneously.

Kukukuku!

[Lv2 Ice Formation activated!]

[Blessing of the Stars activated!]

Magic of an entirely different level surged. Ice pillars engraved with snowflakes smashed the arrows to pieces. A thick layer shattered.

"Kuak."

"What kind of ice…?"

The necromancers gritted their teeth and stepped back.

Cold energy raised hairs on their bodies. Higher-level undead went out of control under the divine light.

"Kuaa!"

Durahans swung axes, smashing everything.

"Ack! Why are our allies attacking us?!"

"Focus! They lost their minds from the divine power!"

"S-save me!"

Control of the battlefield collapsed—a declaration of war on Cadrick.

'Since you rang the doorbell, I'll treat the guests properly.'

Cadrick, in command from the rear, felt as if walking into hell.

"Even if that idiot shows up, must it be now?"

Victory had been near. The key to the four-story pagoda was within reach.

But the masked player ruined all careful plans.

"C-Cadrick… even the third group is destroyed."

"Our people are being singled out…"

"Skeletons and Durahans cannot stop him."

Four groups were created to maximize efficiency, and their supply lines were now collapsing.

Cadrick groaned. Three Death Knights, invested with enormous resources, were his secret weapon—but Jin-hyuk already knew.

"This way!"

Jin-hyuk shifted focus to the Moai Stone Statue—the strongest statue on the battlefield.

"Can you catch me moving this slow?"

He provoked the statue and moved into the center of the undead.

"Oh!"

"Kuaak!"

The massive Moai statue soared into the sky, casting a dark shadow over the battlefield.

"Kwak! Why here, you idiot!"

"Avoid it! We'll all die if it falls!"

The statue crashed.

Kwang!

A crater formed. Those underneath were obliterated. Jin-hyuk, of course, was unharmed.

"Oh my… no bones can withstand this. Calcium alone won't help."

Those bones turned to powder. Not even the Death Knights could handle it alone. Cadrick faced a dilemma: ignore the statue and let Jin-hyuk wreak havoc, or intervene and lose control elsewhere.

Either way, disaster loomed.

Finally, Cadrick lost control.

"T-this brat! Why keep throwing dirt in our faces?"

"Uh?"

"We did no harm to you, so why ruin our livelihood?"

Jin-hyuk shrugged.

"This place was mine already."

They came, tried to claim it, and of course, he would throw dirt in their faces.

"Besides… why do demonic humans speak as if they're righteous?"

Who goes around claiming dungeons as their own? Who says, "Oh, sorry, didn't know"?

This Tower follows only one rule: the weak die, the strong survive.

"Don't whine. Come at me if you have complaints."

Jin-hyuk snapped his fingers at Cadrick.
