General Info-

⁕ War over Fate

A destructive war that occurs between the 2 Harbingers and their followers, resulting in the death of billions. The previous winners of the War over Fate all disappeared mysteriously after a short time without explanation. Only Harbingers of Positivity have ever won the war, until the arrival of Noah Blackwell.

⁕ Harbingers

Immortal beings born from the purity or corruption of the world's inhabitants. Born once every thousand years, these opposite beings are destined to battle over the fate of the next thousand years. If Purity wins, the world enters a period of peace and development, but if Corruption wins, the world enters a state of desolation and fear.

⁕ The Harbinger of Negativity

An immortal being born from the corruption of the world and the values of its inhabitants. They are discerned by a black mark that appears on their chest at the age of 18, and this mark can appear in a variety of different shapes, often alluding to the Harbinger's power. The chosen Harbinger of Negativity would often have a traumatic youth, and will display no special powers or abilities prior to awakening.

⁕ The Harbinger of Positivity

An immortal being born from the purity of the world and the values of its inhabitants. They are discerned by a golden halo that appears above their head at birth and usually brought to a Holy Sanctuary, where they will be trained to fight against the Harbinger of Negativity.

⁕ Holy Sanctuary

An area of land reserved purely for the worship and teaching of the Harbinger of Positivity. The outside world is not allowed to interact with the Holy Sanctuary in any way, and the Sanctuary holds a certain level of power and influence over governments.

⁕ Awakener

A human who managed to gain special powers. Whether they awaken as a Purifier or a Corruptor is entirely up to fate and luck. Awakeners are thought to have an unlimited lifespan, much like the Harbingers, though few live long enough to test this theory entirely. Unlike Harbingers, Awakeners can die to anyone.

⁕ Purifiers

Awakened humans who wield special powers without drawbacks. These powers are shaped by the person's past, and change or grow stronger based on their experiences. Purifiers retain human-like qualities and maintain control over their emotions.

⁕ Corruptor

Awakened humans who wield special powers with differing drawbacks. These powers are shaped by the person's past, and change or grow stronger based on their experiences. Corruptors often gain inhuman powers or features, and have little to no control over their emotions.

⁕ Void Creatures

Mysterious creatures that take on various and often gruesome forms and crawl out of cracks in space and time. These creatures are mindless and bring about wanton destruction wherever they go.

Common Terminology-

⁕ Star Core

The energy center of any Awakener or Void Creature. Purifiers have it located next to their heart, while Corruptors possess it in their brain. Void Creatures can have it anywhere in their bodies, and may possess more than one Star Core. The level of Star Cores are determined by the number of points the star has, and its color determines the quality of the core.

Star Core Levels (Purifier)-

• Nascent

• Blooming

• Spirit

• Ascendant

• Restoration

• Divine

• Saint

Star Core Levels (Corruptor)-

• Nascent

• Withering

• Ghoul

• Sunken

• Extinction

• Cursed

• Supreme

Each successive Star Core level doubles in number of points, with Nascent having 2 points, and Saint/Supreme having 128 points.

Star Core Quality-

• Red

• Orange

• Yellow

• Green

• Blue

• Indigo

• Violet

Each successive color boasts greater energy reserves and power. Under normal circumstances, the color of one's Star Core cannot be changed even through repeated training, though it is not impossible to increase the quality of one's core through a life and death scenario.

Void Creature Classifications-

• Pygmy

• Beast

• Fiend

• Aberration

• Devil

• Titan

• Godling

Each successive classification is not only larger in size, but possess one more Star Core. A Pygmy Void Creature will only have 1 core, while a Godling will not only be gargantuan but have 7 Star Cores. All cores must be destroyed in order to kill the Void Creature.

⁕ Imprint

A visage of a dead Awakener or Void Creature. These marks at the place of death have a supernatural effect on the landscape, transforming it to an extent.

Levels of Imprints-

• Wisp

• Whisper

• Echo

• Reverberation

• Corporeal

• Aberration

• Soul Window

Each successive level of Imprint has a greater effect on the landscape, and can have a wide range of effects on trespassers. A Wisp Imprint might only change the color of a small area, while a Soul Window Imprint might change an entire region into a mystical landscape, with different effects such as hallucination. Each level of Imprint corresponds to each level of the Star Core.

⁕ Ability Types

One's ability type determines how their abilities function and interact with the world. The type that one awakens with is seemingly random, though some say that it may offer insight into a person's past or their personality. In very rare cases, a person can be born with more than one ability. This is more commonly observed in Harbingers.

Types-

• Physical

A simple physical enhancement, such as increased healing, super speed, or super strength. These Awakened are often skilled in hand to hand combat.

• Elemental

Elementalists are able to bring about elemental attacks seemingly out of thin air. Common elements include fire, water, nature, and earth. They are often weak physically, favoring ranged attacks.

• Manipulation

Unlike Elementalists, Manipulators merely move the elements. While seemingly similar, this classification was made due to Manipulators only being able to use their abilities on a source.

• Mental

Mental ability users or Psychics base their abilities around the mind, ranging from telepathy to telekinesis to inducing hallucinations.

• Transformation

Transformationists are able to warp their body into various forms, sometimes in a beastly manner, other times completely inorganic. Their fighting styles revolve around what they are able to perform with their newly enhanced bodies.

• Evocation

Evocationists are able to summon supernatural creatures to do their bidding. These creatures may possess unique abilities, and can grow in strength and numbers with enough nurturing.

• Supplementary

Supplementarists are Awakened who possess supporting abilities, including healing or strengthening powers. While not often the greatest fighters, their abilities may greatly boost the strength of other Awakeners, thus they are often held in high regard.
