Viola finally ate as much as her stomach could hold. While she was wolfing down the food, the Alpha had gone out to answer a call, leaving her with an omega monitoring the progress of her IV drip.
When she finished eating, Viola waited for the poison to take effect, but nothing happened. She found it strange to accept that he had given her that food out of some kindness of his heart. She almost laughed at the notion; surely there was a motive behind his actions, and she needed to find out, unfortunately, she didn't have the time now.
Viola glanced at the IV drip, which was only halfway through, and at the omega assistant silently taking notes of her condition at the side.
"Can you please remove this from my wrist? I'm feeling fine now," she asked politely, addressing the omega she recognized as one of those who had roughly handled her during her last stay here months ago.
