Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 — System!

What do you truly know about this vast world?

An infinite existence stretching beyond comprehension, filled with countless dimensions, boundless realms, and innumerable laws—each operating independently, yet intertwined in ways no mortal mind could ever fully grasp.

Humans.

Gods.

Beasts.

Demons.

Mortals and immortals alike.

What do you truly understand about this endless cosmos?

At the very beginning—when nothing existed—there was still a presence.

A singular power.

A lone existence that stood above space, above time, above causality itself. A primordial singularity filled with infinite energy, neither alive nor dead, neither conscious nor unconscious.

It simply was.

From this cosmic sphere of absolute power, a storm was unleashed.

An eruption of infinite energy—so vast, so overwhelming, that space itself shattered under its pressure. Laws were overwritten before they could even form, reality torn apart like fragile parchment.

From that chaos, enormous pockets of existence emerged.

Dimensions.

Like an endless chain reaction, one dimension birthed another. From the beginning of time until the present moment, this process never ceased. Even now, new dimensions continued to form somewhere beyond perception.

As each dimension aged, chaos slowly settled. Laws stabilized. Rules took shape. Time flowed forward.

Eons passed.

From lifeless voids arose stars. From stars came worlds. From worlds came life.

And as civilizations rose and fell, as races flourished and vanished, each dimension gradually developed something more—

Awareness.

The Will of Heaven.

Invisible. Omnipresent. Absolute within its own domain.

Yet above them all remained the primordial orb.

The source of creation and destruction.

The only true absolute.

It watched silently as dimensions were born, as life emerged, as civilizations reached their zenith—only to crumble into dust beneath the weight of time.

It watched without judgment.

Without emotion.

An omniscient existence devoid of consciousness.

And yet…

Curiosity lingered.

A faint ripple within the egoless power.

And one day, the primordial presence whispered—

I… also…

[Ding!]

[Billion Times Multiplier System created.]

[Billion Times Multiplier successfully bonded.]

A violent jolt surged through Damon's very existence.

Not his body.

His soul.

An icy sensation exploded within him—alien, invasive, unbearable. It spread like a thousand crawling insects, burrowing into the deepest, most intimate part of his being.

His soul screamed.

"Fuck!"

Damon staggered, nearly collapsing as his knees buckled.

"What the hell was that—"

His voice cut off abruptly.

The world before his eyes distorted.

The magnificent scenery he had been admiring only moments ago—towering mountains, floating structures, drifting clouds—was suddenly obscured.

A translucent purple screen unfolded before his vision.

It hovered silently, unbound by physical laws.

[Hundred Times Multiplier!]

The words burned themselves into his sight.

Damon's breath hitched. His legs trembled uncontrollably as understanding dawned upon him.

"…Am I dreaming?"

His fingers dug into his arm as he pinched himself hard.

Pain bloomed.

"…It's real."

A disbelieving laugh escaped him as excitement surged through his veins. He jumped instinctively, waving his hand toward the screen.

His fingers passed straight through it.

No resistance.

"…I can't touch it."

It wasn't a hologram.

It wasn't physical.

It was something else entirely—an augmented overlay, directly interfacing with his perception. Unreal, yet undeniably present.

"Finally…"

His voice trembled.

"It's finally here."

Despite transmigrating into the novel, Damon had never been certain the system would appear. He had prepared himself mentally for that possibility—ready to abandon cultivation and flee if necessary.

But now…

Now it was here.

'Perfect.'

Joy exploded within him as he clenched his fists and punched the air.

'Alright… let's see what you can really do.'

Unlike the stereotypical protagonists he had read about, Damon didn't shout commands aloud or draw unnecessary attention.

He immediately returned to the hut, ensuring no one was nearby.

Focusing his mind, he stared at the purple interface.

'Functions.'

The screen shifted instantly.

[Inventory]

An infinite subspace capable of storing any non-living object.

[Gaze of Omniscient]

Allows the host to appraise any target and obtain its complete information.

[1,000,000,000x Multiplier]

Any action, effect, or object can be multiplied by a billion times.

Note:

1. Each target may only be multiplied once.

2. If the multiplied result exceeds the host's tolerance, excess energy will be discarded to ensure host safety.

3. The multiplier only affects items owned by the host or the host themselves. It has no effect on other living beings.

"Only three…"

Damon exhaled slowly.

But each one was absurd.

An infinite inventory.

An omniscient appraisal.

And the ultimate cheat—

The multiplier.

He already knew its power from the novel, yet witnessing it firsthand sent shivers down his spine.

He shoved the cot aside and knelt beside its right leg, digging into the packed dirt beneath.

After several moments, his fingers struck wood.

A small, worn wooden box emerged—the previous owner's most treasured possession.

Opening it carefully, Damon revealed a milky-white crystal resting inside.

'Spirit Crystal.'

The fundamental currency of cultivators.

Beneath it lay a handful of copper coins.

This world's economy was divided into two systems.

Mortals used metal currency—copper, silver, and gold.

One gold coin equaled one hundred silver coins, or ten thousand copper coins.

Cultivators, however, used spirit crystals—condensed crystallizations of spiritual energy, divided into multiple grades.

Damon possessed only the lowest.

'Inventory.'

The items vanished from his hands.

The system updated instantly.

[Inventory]

1x lowest-grade spirit crystal

23x copper coins

"…Alright."

Damon rubbed his palms together, heart pounding.

"Let's begin."

His gaze locked onto the spirit crystal.

The multiplier activated.

Kaching—

The number exploded.

1 → 10 → 100 → thousands → millions—

The count surged faster than his eyes could track.

Then it stopped.

[Inventory]

1,000,000,000x lowest-grade spirit crystal

23x copper coins

Damon stood frozen as his gazed mechanically counted the number of zeroes, his heart beat rising rapidly as the frozen expression twisted revealing a grin unlike ever before as the spirit crystals showered down in front of him.

Cold.. real..
