Amara's POV
In Class 11 of Merida Academy, the teacher was still missing.
I sat in the back row, gripping a gel pen in my left hand while sketching on scrap paper.
Most of my drawings came out hyper-realistic. Given enough time, I could even capture the coarse texture of someone's facial features.
Jasper had skipped yesterday but showed up today—earlier than usual, actually.
I sat right next to him.
While sketching, I'd steal glances at him now and then.

Jasper's face burned hot.
The truth was, Jasper's feelings for Amara hadn't come from nowhere.
Even though Amara had only attended school for a few days, everyone noticed.
She stayed distant and cold, rarely reaching out to anyone.
But when she looked at him, her gaze always lingered for a moment.
Those eyes were absolutely mesmerizing.
Jasper couldn't decode what she was thinking, which made him think about Amara constantly.
