The Second Hand represented the Past.

That which had already occurred.

That which was fixed.

That which could not be altered.

When it shifted, it did not rewrite history.

It reframed it.

Events remained identical.

Outcomes unchanged.

But their meaning loosened.

Causality no longer felt inevitable.

It felt… optional.

For the first time, the Past could be interpreted.
