In another part of the city, Jayden sat in a dimly lit room, seated on a couch with his legs crossed. His gaze was fixed intently on the woman who had just entered.
Wearing a revealing black dress, she walked toward him seductively. When she reached him, she sat on his lap and pressed her lips to his, kissing him fiercely. Jayden kissed her back with the same intensity. A few seconds into the kiss, he pulled away and stood up, lifting her effortlessly as her legs wrapped around his waist. In the blink of an eye, she was pressed against the wall.
He kissed her again, his hands moving slowly over her body as he removed her clothes bit by bit. Once she was undressed, he set her down to admire her body. His hand moved to her lips, then trailed down to her breasts, massaging them gently. She moaned softly and arched toward him. He pushed her back against the wall, watching as she reacted.
His other hand moved between her thighs, stroking her. She moaned sharply this time, wrapping both arms around his neck.
"Moan loudly, bitch," he commanded.
Trailing her hands over his body, she breathed shakily, "My name is Cassie."
A smirk appeared on his face as he thrust his finger into her, moving it rapidly.
"Like I give a fuck. Scream for me, bitch."
She moaned loudly. "Ah—ah—yes… faster, love… oh."
When Jayden felt she was ready, he began to undress—first his shirt, then his trousers, and finally his boxers. His manhood sprang free, thick and long, the head swollen.
He carried her to the bed hurriedly, threw her onto it, and spread her legs wide.
Cassie stared at him hungrily and licked her lips. She leaned back on her hands, anticipating him.
He climbed onto the bed, positioning himself between her legs. Just as he was about to enter her, his phone rang.
He froze.
The phone rang again. With an annoyed groan, he got up and checked the caller ID.
Mom.
"Oh God," he muttered.
"Hello, Mom."
"Jayden, I've been trying to reach you since last night, but your phone hasn't been connecting."
"My network's been bad for a few days," he lied. In truth, he'd put his phone on airplane mode to avoid calls from one of his many girls who kept insisting she wanted a relationship.
"Mom, is this important? Because I'm in the middle of something."
"In the middle of something—or in the middle of a pussy?" she snapped. "When will you ever change? Do you know Moses has been lying sick in the hospital since last night?"
Jayden stiffened.
"During dinner yesterday, he collapsed. The doctors confirmed he has cancer," Mrs. Williams said, sobbing.
"What?" Jayden said sharply. "Are you serious, Mom? This isn't another trick to make me come home, right?"
"Jayden, listen to yourself."
"I'm sorry, Mom. But are you sure the doctor checked properly? Moses is a healthy kid—how could he have cancer?" He exhaled shakily. "Send me the hospital address. I'll be there immediately. What about Kyle? Is he there?"
"No. He traveled out of the country for a business trip and will be back next week. Dante and Lara are at the hospital. I'm at the supermarket right now. You'll probably get there before I return. When you arrive, call Lara—she'll take you to Moses's ward."
She hung up.
"Shit… shit… what the fuck," Jayden cursed.
Cassie, who had been watching him silently, asked, "What happened?"
He stayed quiet for a long moment before answering. "It's my youngest brother. He has cancer."
He grabbed his clothes and began dressing.
"Are you leaving?" she asked.
He ignored her and continued dressing.
"So we're not having sex anymore?" she said, getting off the bed and walking toward him.
When she reached him, she stared boldly into his eyes and grabbed him, trying to reignite his desire.
Irritated, Jayden grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the wall, his eyes cold and sharp.
"If you're that desperate for sex, go find a stick and fuck yourself with it," he said quietly. "You have five seconds to get dressed and leave. When I count to five, if you're not dressed, I'll throw you out."
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
Cassie panicked and hurriedly began dressing, but he'd already reached five.
He grabbed her clothes and dragged her toward the door.
Terrified of being seen naked, she begged him to let her at least put on her underwear.
He ignored her pleas, opened the door, and threw her—and her clothes—out. Then he slammed the door shut.
Jayden removed his clothes again and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. Once done, he dressed, grabbed his car keys, and left in a hurry.
Lara and Lilith opened the door to Moses's ward. Inside, they found Moses and Dante playing a small handball game—Moses lying on the bed, Dante sitting beside him.
"Lara!" Moses called excitedly.
Dante turned as Lara and Lilith approached.
"Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling today?" Lara asked, hugging him with a smile.
"I feel much better than this morning. Hello, Lilith—you look more beautiful than the last time I saw you. Will you marry me?" Moses said with a wide grin.
Lilith smirked, bent down to hug him, and ruffled his hair. "It seems you haven't changed."
"You came to see me," Moses said.
"Yes," Lilith replied softly. "Lara told me what happened. I'm so sorry, little pumpkin."
"It's okay, Lilith," Moses said. "But I don't know why you all keep calling me 'little.'"
