I remember how I met him
Back in my old secondary school, I used to sit with two people a boy and a girl. I don't even know if I should call them friends. Maybe they were just classmates I talked to when I had no one else. I guessed they are my friends
The boy had a friend. That friend… was him.
We exchanged numbers. I didn't think much of it. We just started talking here and there. But you know how it goes. The chats got deeper, the calls got longer. The feelings came quietly.
Then he asked me out.
And I said yes.
Maybe I wasn't ready. Maybe it was too fast. But at that time, it felt right. I felt seen. I felt wanted.
But life, as usual, had other plans. My parents said we were relocating. Just like that. I had to leave the school, the environment, everything I was used to. I was sad… but then something strange happened.
I found out my new school was his school.
Of all places, that's where I landed. I was a class ahead of him.
Diary, isn't that funny? Or maybe scary. Was it fate? Or was it just a setup for more pain?
Everything started to feel real from there. Too real.
