Chapter 21 - A Vampire’s Ass

A purple magic circle formed on the ground before him, and from it emerged a figure that made Ethan's eyes widen with shock.

"A child?" he muttered.

"Heyooo!" the blonde-haired boy said with an excited grin on his face as he waved his right hand.

Finn was about 5 feet tall and wore a brown jacket over a simple shirt. He had a red scarf tied around his neck, a hat sitting on his head, and an old revolver in one hand.

The system quickly followed up with Finn's stat profile.

[Name: Finn The Shot]

[Title: Killshot]

[Race: Human]

[Classification: Hero]

[Summon Class: Knight]

[Potential Rating: Commander]

[SKILLS:

-Precision Shot

-Double Up]

[Passive Skill: Eagle's Eye]

[Ultimate Skill: Scatter Shot]

[Special Weapon: Revolver]

[Notable Limits:

-Scatter Shot puts too much strain on the summon and can only be used a maximum of 3 times consecutively]

[Summon Background: Finn was the hero of a small town in the year x1850. He suffered from an incurable disease and died to it]

Albedo's eyes gleamed with so much excitement that it looked like there were stars in them. "Oh myyy, who's this cute kid…"

Her tongue licked through her lips, which then curled into a devious grin.

Finn turned towards her with an innocent grin while scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

The demon vanished in a burst of smoke and reappeared by Finn's side, circling around the blonde-haired kid like a predator playing with her prey.

Her movements were slow, almost cat-like. She leaned in close, trailing a single finger along his shoulder as she circled behind him.

Her tail swayed lazily, and that sly grin never left her face. She tilted her head, studying him from every angle, as if deciding which part of him to tease first.

"So young, so innocent," she purred, with the sound of a mischievous voice. "I wonder how long that'll last."

Finn suddenly looked worried, with sweat already developing on his forehead. "…uh, uh," he stammered, unsure why the demon was trailing her fingers around him.

Her presence felt dangerous in a way he couldn't quite explain.

"Hey!" Ethan called out to Albedo as he raised his head from the screen before him. "You're harassing the kid. Let him be."

Albedo sighed dramatically.

"You always know how to ruin my fun, summoner…" she said, pulling away from the blonde-haired boy and reappearing on the bed with a discontented look on her face.

She crossed her arms and pouted like a child who'd just been told no.

Finn heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you." Then he began taking a look around. This definitely did not look like anything from his time.

"Woaahhhh," he exclaimed, with eyes wide as he took in the room.

His voice faded into the background for Ethan, who had already returned his attention to the screens.

[Precision Shot: Finn's bullets home in on the target until it hits the right target spot]

[Double Up: Finn is able to call in another revolver to be shot by the other hand]

[Eagle's Eye Passive: Finn can see up to a 2km distance and zoom in on any target within that range]

[Scatter Shot Ultimate: Finn is able to shoot at multiple targets, up to a hundred at once]

"These are very deadly skills for a summon who looks twelve," Ethan muttered in low tones.

But then something was a bother, and right then he said to the system, "If truly this system lives up to its function, then I'll eventually run into a naming problem. So we'll switch it up a bit."

[What do you have in mind?]

"You do not identify the summons by any sort of talent specification, but I can tell that this new summon possesses the skills of ranger type. So from now on, unless I specifically mention or think up a name, I will only call for summons based on their possible talent type. You're then to give me the absolute strongest or best one to fit the situation. Is it understood?"

[Affirmative]

Ethan nodded his head. The point he was trying to drive at was to save him from needing to memorize the names of summons.

If, for instance, he needed a summon that could cast spells, he could simply command the system mentally to present him with a "caster-type summon."

And the system would then go ahead to present him with the strongest caster-type summon.

However, because strongest didn't always mean it was the right one, he also added the clause "best one to fit the situation."

At least, this was his mindset when he just communicated all of that, and the system perfectly understood.

Ethan had about 3,900 experience points left after gaining Finn. Which was enough to either level one of the summoning skills or go up to Summoner Level 3 status, which he had just seen needed 2,000 XP.

Then, he decided to level up a summon skill. Specifically, the Borrow skill.

A new summon level would only guarantee him another summon anywhere from Elite to Knight level. He already had summons around that level range, both of which complimented each other.

Albedo was a close-range fighter that was so close to being Elite level, while Finn would easily cover for long-range lapses.

Now, if he chose to level up the Borrow skill, it would possibly alleviate the limits of Borrow at Level 1, which currently was: borrowing only one skill at a time, with the skill not even being on the same level as the summon's.

[Borrow skill has reached Lv.2. You are now able to use the summon's skills at the same level]

He sighed, then said, "I'll take it."

A part of him really wished he'd gain an upgrade letting him use more than one skill at a time.

Well, now he could use skills at their maxed capabilities like the summons themselves.

Ethan then lifted his head towards Finn, who was already at the balcony and staring out into the city of Grayfort.

Everything still remained a continuous marvel to the gunner kid.

Then Ethan's attention turned to Albedo, who had been gazing at him the whole time, watching him talk to an invisible person.

The demon had a smile on her face when she said, "You really are the most interesting thing I've seen in a while, summoner. And so far, you only manage to intrigue me even further."

Then she turned her face away and stared towards the balcony.

Ethan shook his head and smiled too.

Within the Morgenstein estate, specifically the spacious room belonging to Beatrice, it seemed she and Wilson were in some sort of argument.

"How hard can it really be to simply dash in quickly, compel that idiot to stand still for just a moment so that he could get attacked by a monster?" Beatrice was sounding so mad as she made gestures with her hand to explain again how simple their plan had been.

"You told me Stark was horrible at magic, but not only does he have a spell that gives him special eyes I'd never seen before, he knew I was coming for him!" Wilson sighed, then repeated. "Like I've been saying since we got into this argument, he knew! Just as much as I watched him, he watched me too."

Beatrice shook her head and walked away from his side. "Face it, Wilson. You simply got scared and couldn't do as you were asked."

She hadn't even bothered to stop for once to think about the spell Wilson claimed Ethan had or the fact that he mentioned how keen Ethan had been in the breach zone.

Because to her, none of that represented the Ethan she had dated for a year. Her ex-boyfriend would easily stumble over a stone right in his path, let alone be able to notice the speed of the fastest-moving vampire in their class.

Wilson sighed and clenched his fist. This talk was going in circles, and it only just got on his nerves the more.

He decided not to push it further and simply turned over towards the window.

They were both silent for a few minutes, with neither person talking to each other. Then Beatrice walked over to her open cabinet of dresses.

Her back was turned to Wilson, but suddenly she let the dress on her body fall to the ground.

Wilson suddenly turned his head her way, with his eyes marveling at the beautiful sight of skin and ass to behold.

Had Beatrice really just gone naked right in front of him?
