Aden founded himself in a dark cave, there was no any light source coming in. He saw a group of people talking infront of him. Their clothing style felt like they're strong warriors from the real world that are sent on a mission.
A person with blonde hairs spoke up, "So what do you think? We have already failed this mission because of you so called Mr. Strongest."
The person said this line in anger. The person was lean and was wearing a thin armour with holding a sword in his hand. A tall muscular man with dim blue eyes spoke.
"I know it's my fault, but I have already apologized for my mistake."
As the person said this other 2 people from the group came forward and opened their mouths, "Keep your voice down. We no longer obey you captain Gray."
The person got shocked and said, "Wait... What are–"
Before he could finish his sentence, a sword pierced his chest from behind. He turned his back slowly and saw the person with blonde hairs have attacked him.
"Argh... What are you doing Rowl?" The person asked.
"Betraying my old captain, Mr. Wolf Gray"
Aden's eyes widened as he heard this, he panicked and tried to help, but his body was not able to move. Aden realized that the person who is being betrayed, is his own father.
Rowl pulled his sword out slowly. Wolf fell down on his knees and looked up at him.
"Why did you do that?" Wolf asked.
Rowl did not answered the question and walked in right side of Wolf. Wolf looked at his other comrades who left him alone there to die and left the cave.
Slowly monsters came out from the dark cave and covered Wolf. Wolf tried to fight those monsters. Suddenly a monster attacked him with his claws, Wolf barely dodged it but got a scar on his cheeks.
Aden stood there helplessly, unable to move and help his father. Then a monster jumped on Aden and his eyes opened up.
"Aagh!"
Aden woke up in that house bed and realized that it was just a dream.
"Wait, was that a dream?" Aden thought. He huffed and composed himself. He slowly stood up and came out of the house.
He came back and saw the same scenario of the black sun and the red sky with orange shades. He looked at his right arm which was still injured.
"Well, what the heck am I supposed to do to end this trial." Aden thought and went inside of the house once again. He sat down on the bed and looked at that diary that was lying on the bed.
"What was that? It felt so real, rather than a dream." Aden thought and kept staring at the diary.
"I guess I'll stay here till my right arm recovers as there is so much danger outside." Aden thought and went outside in search of food. He walked forward for a moment and founded a tree, he sat down and looked at left, he saw a river with red water.
"Is that water even drinkable?" Aden thought. He went near the river and saw so many fishes swimming in there. Aden summoned his one shadow and said him to catch a fish for him to eat.
The shadow jumped in the red river and came back instantly with two fish in his hands.
"Woah! That was fast. Thanks for that." Aden said and his shadow copy returned in his shadow.
Aden came back in the house again and founded basic things that could ignite a fire and can cook the fish. He then cooked it and ate the fish. After eating the fish, he went to sleep.
*****
After sleeping for a while Aden heard a voice. His eyes wide opened.
"Hush now, little ember,
Close your glowing eyes…"
"What is this sound?"
The voice felt angelic and relaxing, Aden came out of the house and started to go in the direction from where the voice was coming.
"The world can wait 'til morning, Sleep beneath the skies."
The outside wind was cold, Aden followed the voice in that cold night.
Aden reached the location and saw a girl sitting on the river bank, her eyes were closed while she was singing. Her hairs were red, the white moonlight fell on her giving a spotlight.
"Dream of gentle rivers, Not the storms you tame, For even hearts of fire. Need rest from burning flame."
Aden stood there silently, listening to the relaxing sound of the voice he was hearing.
Slowly the girl opened her eyes and saw Aden standing besides a tree, the moonlight scattered across, breaking the spotlight moment. As she looked at Aden, he got nervous.
"Who are you? And why are you standing there?" The girl asked.
Aden came out from the dark and said, "I am Aden, actually I am not from this world and I am here to complete the trial."
The girl shook her head slowly giving a sign of understanding, "And I stood there because your voice felt so good. So... I thought to enjoy that song."
The girl gave a warm smile and said thanks to Aden. Aden asked, "Isn't it dangerous to stay here alone at night?"
The girl nodded and asked for a place where she could stay for the night, Aden suggested the house where he was staying. The girl agreed and followed Aden.
As they both entered the house, the girl's mouth opened, "Thank you for letting me to stay here. My name is Ruby."
Aden then said, "It's okay."
"So you said you are here to complete the trial?" Ruby asked and Aden nodded. "So can you take me out of this dimension to Earth?"
Aden got confused and a was surprised by her words, "Um... Okay, but why do you want that?"
"Because this place is hell. I don't wanna live here please. Let me get out of this place." Ruby said and asked Aden for help.
Aden did not questioned much and agreed. Aden then felt sleepy so he suggested to get some rest for now and they both will talk the next morning. Ruby nodded.
Aden suggested Ruby to sleep up on that bed and Aden will sleep on the floor, Ruby at first denied the offer, but Aden kept forcing her to sleep on the bed. Due to this, she finally agreed and they both went to sleep.
