Kalin felt a sense of hope filling his heart, but he realized that the job wouldn't be easy.
The worker who had smiled at him before suddenly changed his expression after hearing his request.
It seemed like he sensed something strange in Kalin's gaze, and wasn't sure how serious this young boy was.
A heavy moment of silence passed before he replied.
"You're too young to work here," the worker said with a cold smile, barely noticeable on his lips.
But before he could add anything else, he gave Kalin a long look, as if trying to measure him up.
Kalin didn't feel scared, but instead felt a strange sense of motivation.
Now, it wasn't just money that he wanted; it was to prove to himself that he deserved a place in this world.
Then, the worker muttered to himself:
"If he wants to work here, he'll have to take on some responsibility… he'll learn how tough life outside can be."
He then looked up and said:
"Alright, if you're serious about this, come tomorrow morning. There's a lot to learn and plenty of work."
Kalin felt his heart tighten, but this was his chance.
He smiled faintly and replied:
"Thank you, I'll be here."
The Change in the Worker:
After Kalin left with his little sister,
the worker paused for a moment, and there was a strange look in his eyes.
"Where did this kid come from?" he whispered to himself as he stared at the door they had just exited.
Then, he added: "He doesn't seem like any other child… he'll learn a lot in this place."Kalin stepped out of the house quietly, feeling something strange.
Although the streetlight was dim, the cold bit at him,
but a new feeling washed over him: a feeling of freedom.
Yet…
The farther he moved away from home, the more his heart filled with anxiety, even as he tried to appear confident.
He thought he could live on his own,
but he didn't realize just how harsh the world was.
The streets were dark, and the people were strangers,
and everyone rushed by, as if carrying burdens larger than any child could imagine.
With his first step into the world, it felt as if his heart stopped beating for a moment.
The street, the dim lights, the emptiness… all things so new to him.
Danger Approaches...
Kalin's breath quickened, his heart racing in his chest,
but he couldn't move.
The shadow that approached him wasn't fully clear, but the heavy footsteps indicated something wasn't right.
Suddenly, a tall figure emerged from the shadows.
His eyes were glowing.
And he smiled a chilling smile.
Kalin felt a strange shiver running through him.
But quickly, he remembered what he was taught as a child:
Don't let fear control you; courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to face it.
The First Moment of Power...
Without thinking, Kalin reached into his pocket, where he carried an old tool.
He had thought it was useless, but at that moment, everything became a tool for survival.
Without warning, Kalin thrust the tool into the stranger's hand,
delivering a powerful blow that surprised the stranger and forced him to retreat.
The blow wasn't strong enough to defeat the enemy,
but it was enough for Kalin to feel something new in his heart...
A power inside him he didn't know existed.
And that was just the beginning.
The Challenge Grows...
The stranger retreated, but still watched Kalin with eyes full of shock and anger.
"You don't know who I am…" the stranger said angrily.
But Kalin didn't care.
He knew that this moment was just the beginning of something bigger.
And every step he took was bringing him closer to his fate.
After the Confrontation...
After the stranger had retreated, Kalin felt a wave of exhaustion, but his fear had slowly faded.
He held his little sister, who had been standing behind him, her eyes wide with shock,
and though surprised, she didn't back down.
"Are you okay?" she whispered, as if trying to understand what had just happened.
He answered her in a calm voice:
"Yes… but we have to keep going."
He looked back at the shadow that had retreated,
and he knew that moment marked the beginning of a new phase in his life.
This time, he didn't feel weak.
There was something in his heart whispering to him that everything would get better.
But he didn't know what that was yet.
The Little Sister...
His little sister looked at him with her wide, bright eyes, as though she realized he had changed in that moment.
She tried to get closer to him, and Kalin's heart felt a deeper sense of responsibility for her than ever before.
"Are we going back home?" she asked quietly.
But Kalin had already made his decision.
"We're not going back anymore," he said seriously.
"Now, we're in a bigger world, and you have to be strong too."
Even as he spoke, he wasn't sure if his words were true or just an attempt to ease his own pain,
but he felt something deep inside him.
The Next Step...
Kalin took his little sister's hand and led her down a new path, away from everything they had known.
The street was darker now, and sounds of people filled the air shouts, laughter, and every kind of noise that filled the night.
He felt out of place, but there was something in his heart telling him he had to move forward.
Not just for himself, but for his sister too.
The Big Decision...
Before he took another step, a sudden feeling stopped him.
He turned to his little sister and said:
"We're not going back, are we?"
The answer was clear in her eyes.
"Yes, big brother," she said with sadness but with confidence.
"I'm with you, wherever this journey takes us."
And at that moment, Kalin felt the weight of responsibility, but also something much greater:
Hope.
Entering the City:
After walking for a long time through the dark streets, they reached an area filled with shops and bright lights.
The lights illuminated the road, and the atmosphere changed suddenly. There were shops selling everything, and music echoed from here and there.
Kalin paused for a moment and took a deep breath.
He had never seen this type of life before.
Everything was new: the colors, the sounds, and the people.
Then, he looked at his little sister and spoke softly:
"Here, maybe we'll find an opportunity to work."
They walked toward one of the shops. It was a small coffee shop, and the scent of fresh coffee filled the air.
"Maybe I can work here," Kalin whispered to himself.
They entered the shop, where there was a young worker behind the counter, busy taking orders.
Kalin took a step forward, looking at the worker with a faint smile, observing the new surroundings around him.
Kalin approached the worker and said carefully:
"Hello."
The worker looked up, and greeted him with a friendly smile:
"Hello! What can I get for you?"
But Kalin didn't want to order anything. He looked straight at the worker and said:
"I don't want to order anything. I'd like to work here."
The worker's expression changed for a moment, as if Kalin's words were unexpected.
However, the worker thought to himself for a moment, then spoke quietly:
"If this boy wants to work with me, he'll take a part of what I earn."
But the worker smiled again and replied:
"You're young, but if you're serious, there's always work that needs a helping hand."
Kalin felt a sense of hope filling his heart, but he knew that the road wouldn't be easy.
He pushed aside all those negative thoughts that tried to creep into his mind, and he knew that this moment was a real beginning for him.
He had decided to prove it to himself first, then to his sister, and then to the world—he could succeed by helping himself.
