Muladhara — The Root That Does Not Break
Month Four — The Breaking Point
The fourth month arrived without warning.
The gravity increased.
Not suddenly—
but mercilessly.
Garud's knees trembled.
The ground beneath his feet cracked, yet he remained standing.
Sweat poured from his body like rain.
Every breath felt borrowed.
Drona Acharya did not intervene.
"If the root breaks,"
he said calmly,
"the tree dies."
Collapse
On the tenth day—
Garud fell.
Not forward.
Not backward.
Straight down.
The earth welcomed him.
His consciousness flickered.
His senses faded one by one.
Sight…
Sound…
Pain…
Only darkness remained.
The Inner World
Garud stood barefoot in an endless black land.
No sky.
No ground.
Just existence.
Then—
A deep voice echoed from below.
"Why do you stand?"
Garud looked down.
There was no body.
Only awareness.
"Because I must," Garud replied.
"Why do you endure?"
Garud hesitated.
Images flashed—
Karan bleeding.
Villagers screaming.
The storm.
Lord Shiva's eyes.
"Because if I fall,"
Garud said,
"everything falls with me."
Silence followed.
Then—
A pulse.
The Root Ignites
A red glow appeared beneath Garud's spine.
Low.
Heavy.
Unyielding.
It was not fire.
It was earth.
The glow expanded.
Pain surged through his body—
But this pain was different.
It did not destroy.
It anchored.
Garud screamed—
And stood.
Muladhara Awakening
The world shook.
Inside Garud—
Something locked into place.
Not power.
Stability.
Fear no longer moved him.
Doubt no longer bent him.
The chakra at the base of his spine bloomed like a crimson lotus.

Return to Reality
Garud opened his eyes.
He was kneeling in the training ground.
The gravity—
Was gone.
The earth beneath him had sunk several inches.
Drona Acharya stood before him.
For the first time—
He bowed.
"You are now rooted,"
Drona said.
"Even gods will find it difficult to move you."
Garud clenched his fist.
He felt heavy.
Not slow.
Unmovable.
A Warning
Drona's expression hardened.
"This is only the foundation," he said.
"Six chakras remain."
He turned away.
"And each one,"
he added,
"will try to kill you."
Garud smiled faintly.
"Then let them try."
