"Hmm…" Ling Tian sat up as he rubbed his eyes.
'It's already 06:30 am. I will take a bath.'
He made his bed before finally heading to the bathroom.
To his surprise, the doorbell suddenly rang.
'Who is visiting me so early in the morning?'
He checked through the peephole.
'Yueyan?'
Once he knew who it was, he grabbed the handle and opened the door.
"Yueyan?" he knew they had promised to have breakfast together, but he didn't expect her to visit his place.
"Did you just wake up?" she asked as she smiled.
"Yeah," he replied. "I was about to take a shower."
"Since we had promised to eat together, I bought some vegetables and meat." She raised the bag in her right hand. "I will cook for us."
"Cook?" he was startled once again because he thought they would go to a restaurant or a street vendor.
"Are you going to keep me standing here?" She indirectly asked him to invite her into his studio.
He understood the meaning behind her question and immediately said, "Come in."
She stepped into his studio and took off her shoes. "You can take a shower if you want."
"Alright." He closed the door before making his way to the bathroom.
Five minutes later, he finished taking a bath.
"It smells good!" he didn't put on clothes right away.
Instead, he headed to the kitchen because the aroma of delicious food stole his attention.
"Are you trying to seduce me?" Ling Tian only wore a white towel, so she could see his upper body.
Instead of answering, he asked playfully, "Did I manage to seduce you?"
"A little." She raised her thumb and index finger, leaving a small gap between them. "Hurry up and put on clothes."
He listened to her and headed to the wardrobe.
Once he got dressed, he returned to the kitchen.
Ling Tian could not take his eyes off her after his gaze fell on her body because her curves had stolen his full attention.
'She has an amazing body!'
He stood behind her before finally wrapping his arms around her slender waist.
'Oh, shit!'
He widened his eyes for a moment when he came to his senses.
He was previously mesmerized by her amazing body, so he hugged her without realizing it.
'What should I do now?'
He tried his best to remain calm.
Shen Yueyan's body tensed when he embraced her out of the blue. She even stopped stirring the meat and vegetables in the pan for a moment.
But even so, she didn't push him away and continued cooking as if it were normal for him to hug her.
Ling Tian let out a sigh of relief.
Since she didn't say anything, he kept embracing her because happiness flooded him when she was in his arms.
Shen Yueyan took a piece of meat and offered it to him. "Try it?"
He ate it without thinking twice. "Delicious!"
Her lips curled up into a smile at his praise. "The food is ready now. Go to the dining table and wait there!"
"Alright." He stopped hugging her.
A minute later, she placed the food on the table and sat beside him.
The happiness within him grew bigger when she gently filled his plate with rice and meat. Her gesture was soft and full of care, as if she were a gentle wife who served her husband.
"Thank you, my love!" he acted like her boyfriend again.
Shen Yueyan was stunned when his words reached her ears, causing her to stop scooping rice onto her plate.
'Calling me my love again… he is indeed a bad young man!'
But even so, a soft smile spread across her face.
"Make sure you eat plenty." She didn't comment on the way he addressed her as if she was telling him that he could call her 'my love' from now on.
"Un." He nodded.
Then, the duo began eating together.
Even though it was just a simple breakfast, in that moment, they felt like they were sharing something deeply special.
They even felt like the atmosphere was different than usual, as if the world itself had created a momentary paradise just for them to enjoy their time together.
After they finished eating, they didn't leave the dining area right away.
Instead, they remained there and kept chatting.
"Thank you for cooking delicious food for me." His mood lifted, and he believed today would become a wonderful day.
"You are welcome." She nodded with a soft smile on her face.
"Yueyan, we should have breakfast together more often." He suggested this because starting the day with happiness would make the whole day feel brighter.
"So that you can take advantage of me more often?" She was referring to the time when he suddenly embraced her from behind.
Of course, she didn't reject his idea because she felt the same.
"My body moved on its own earlier as if it were telling me that I had found my soulmate." He used sweet words in his reply.
"Glib tongue!" she smiled softly.
"Shall we go to campus now?" Actually, he wanted to keep chatting with her, but it was already 07:30 am, so they should head to the university quickly.
She shifted her gaze to the wall clock before nodding her head. "Alright."
They washed the dishes together to save time. Once they were done, they walked out of his studio.
"Hmm?" Shen Yueyan lowered her gaze when he suddenly held her right hand.
'He is bolder now.'
But even so, she didn't shake it off and only looked at him with a soft smile.
"Don't get it wrong. I just don't want you to get lost." He gave a bad excuse.
"Hehe." She covered her mouth and giggled softly. "We are not in a crowded place or at a festival. You need a better excuse."
"What if I say I just wanted to stay close to you?" he admitted without feeling shy.
"That's a much better reason." She replied with a soft smile.
Then, the duo walked to the parking lot hand in hand.
