A frown settled on Laurel's face. However, she thought maybe it was just an animal that spooked them.
She returned her attention to the soil.
"Laurel, let's head back to the tarp," Chris said beside her.
She nodded and followed him back to the tarp for cover. She must come up with a good idea, else the herbs' roots would rot from too much water.
Water trickled down her hair, and her body was soaked.
"Are you okay?" Chris asked, removing his jacket, and with a flip, he wrapped it around Laurel's head. "Don't catch a cold."
"Chris you don't have to… I…"
"Say no more, I'm perfectly fine." Chris remained with a faint smile.
Laurel nodded. She closed her eyes. "System, is there anything I can do to improve the herb's quality before harvest?" She asked inwardly.
The system popped up in front of her. Laurel suddenly became alarmed, she turned to Chris who was staring in the far distance.
"What are you doing? He can see you!" Laurel said in a hushed voice.
