The dagger had a white sheath, and a white hilt.
The dagger had followed Ling Xuan when she transmigrated from the Chinese dynasty to Laurel's body.
And it had been with her since she was little, a piece she never thought she would ever give away.
Tina unwrapped one hand from the teddy bear and slowly traced the intricate design on the sheath. "Aunty Laurel, this is so cool." She praised with sparkly eyes.
"This is the gift I brought you." Ling Xuan said, placing the dagger in Tina's hand.
"I love it!" Tina exclaimed, but the next second she quickly shut her mouth and leaned closer to Ling Xuan's ear.
"I thought kids were not allowed to play with sharp objects." She asked, curiously staring at Ling Xuan.
Ling Xuan's lips tugged up slightly. Tina was smart, and she liked it. If it were back in her time, she would have taken her as her next successor.
"You are an exception, you are smart enough not to use it wrongly." Ling Xuan paused. "It's for your protection." She added.
