Chapter 81 - CHAPTER 81

The Birth of the Spirit

"Yuhao, your blood."

Electrolux's voice echoed once more within the Sea of Spirit.

Since a contract was being forged, a medium representing both sides was naturally required.

For the Snow Empress, it was her life imprint and remaining origin power.

For Huo Yuhao, it had to be his blood.

Yuhao did not hesitate. He bit the tip of his tongue and spat out a mouthful of blood that carried a faint golden sheen.

His blood was no longer ordinary.

He had once refined countless immortal herbs from the Yin-Yang Ice Fire Eyes—such as the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and other top-grade celestial treasures. He had absorbed the Ice Empress' torso bone, integrated the Life Gold, and suppressed the Golden Dragon King bloodline within his body.

All of these forces had tempered his physique repeatedly, transforming it into a true treasure body.

Even a single drop of his blood now contained astonishing vitality and medicinal essence far exceeding that of common heavenly materials.

But none of that mattered in this moment.

Under Electrolux's precise control, Yuhao's blood fused into the forming contract array.

Almost instantly, Yuhao felt his soul connect to a special existence.

That existence was now within his own Sea of Spirit.

Turning his consciousness inward, Yuhao saw a lotus blooming quietly upon the Lake of Life in his spiritual world.

Resting atop it was a milky-white giant egg.

The existence linked to his soul was that egg.

No—more accurately, the life gestating within it.

Because this was his spiritual sea, Yuhao could move freely with a single thought.

He appeared beside the lotus and gently placed his hand upon the smooth shell.

A familiar chill spread into his palm.

It was unmistakable.

The aura of the Snow Empress.

"Yuhao, the contract has been completed. The Snow Empress has successfully transformed into the special existence we discussed—the Spirit. The name you chose is quite fitting."

A faint gray figure condensed beside him.

It was Electrolux.

However, compared to before, his presence was visibly weaker. The ritual had consumed tremendous spiritual energy, and though the majority came from Di Tian, Electrolux had borne the burden of guidance and control.

"Elder Yi, are you alright?" Yuhao asked immediately.

"I am fine," Electrolux replied with a gentle smile. "I only need to rest for some time."

He then continued explaining:

"The Snow Empress has taken this egg form because, during the fusion process, she is integrating not only her own origin, but also your bloodline, my power, Tianmeng's spiritual origin, and the Ice Empress' stabilizing force. Multiple energies are harmonizing within her."

"There is no need for concern. I believe she will hatch soon. When she does, you need only allow the Black Dragon to return the portion of power he previously absorbed. Her strength will grow rapidly until it reaches the limit your current body can withstand."

Yuhao nodded thoughtfully.

"Will she retain her memories?"

"If she were born now, she would not," Electrolux explained patiently. "During the fusion, she sealed not only her origin but also her spiritual consciousness. That was necessary to ensure stability."

"However, as her strength gradually recovers, those seals will loosen. With your current physique and spiritual sea, you are fully capable of supporting her restoration."

"Understood."

Yuhao felt a subtle sense of relief. Compared to the proud and cold Snow Empress of before, this newborn existence felt far easier to accept.

Electrolux seemed to sense his thoughts and chuckled.

"You need not worry about her defying you. The contract between you is a master-servant Spirit contract. With a single thought, she cannot resist your will."

Yuhao nodded, though inwardly he desired something beyond forced obedience.

"Very well," Electrolux concluded softly. "The Spirit still holds many wonders. You must explore them yourself. I will now enter slumber."

His voice faded.

The gray figure dissipated entirely.

At that very moment, the giant egg trembled.

Cracks began spreading across its surface like delicate spiderwebs.

Yuhao turned to watch closely.

A tiny white hand suddenly broke through the shell.

It was crystal clear, like jade carved from snow.

Crack—crack—

With small but determined movements, the hand pushed outward.

The shell split apart.

A petite figure emerged.

She wore a simple red bellyband, her skin pure as fresh snow, her features delicate and flawless like carved ice.

It was unmistakable.

A miniature version of the Snow Empress.

However, her once cold and aloof aura was completely gone.

Her spiritual consciousness remained sealed.

She blinked her large, innocent eyes at the surrounding spiritual sea.

Finally, her gaze settled upon Yuhao.

"Father!"

She spread her small arms toward him, smiling brightly.

Despite all previous tension between him and the Snow Empress, Yuhao felt no trace of resentment now.

Only a strange warmth.

He gently lifted the little Snow Spirit into his arms.

Though she was formed of spiritual energy, she felt as tangible as flesh and blood within his Sea of Spirit.

"Giggle!"

She laughed sweetly, her voice like the chime of silver bells.

Yuhao couldn't help but mutter to himself:

"Perhaps it wouldn't be bad if Di Tian simply kept the Snow Empress' former power. That way, she could remain this small and harmless forever."

Of course, that was only a fleeting thought.

Even without Di Tian's feedback, she could absorb天地元力—the energy of heaven and earth—on her own and gradually unlock her seals.

In time, she would inevitably return to her full Snow Empress form.

Yuhao set her down gently and pointed toward the scattered eggshell fragments.

"Eat."

These fragments were condensed spiritual essence—pure and beneficial for her growth.

The little Snow Spirit obediently picked up a piece nearly larger than herself and began nibbling with cheerful "crunch" sounds.

Before long, she consumed every fragment.

Her spiritual body grew noticeably more solid.

After finishing, she patted her small round belly with satisfaction.

Then, with a single thought, she left Yuhao's Sea of Spirit.

Yuhao was not surprised.

Though she possessed independent awareness, she was fundamentally his Spirit. As long as he did not restrict her, she could freely enter and exit his spiritual sea.

Yuhao's consciousness followed her back to the outside world.

When Yuhao opened his eyes, he saw Di Tian kneeling before him.

The Beast God's face was pale.

The ritual had clearly exhausted him severely.

Yet his golden eyes remained sharp and vigilant, fixed upon the small figure now sitting on Yuhao's shoulder.

"My Lord… has it succeeded?"

His voice trembled slightly with anticipation.

Yuhao smiled faintly.

"Of course."

He stepped forward and placed a hand upon Di Tian's shoulder.

"You've worked hard."

Di Tian immediately shook his head.

"This subordinate has done nothing worthy of praise. If such a ceremony can open a path of survival for the soul beast race, I would not hesitate even if it cost my life."

His tone carried unshakable resolve.

At that moment, the tiny Snow Spirit tugged at Yuhao's collar and curiously stared down at the mighty Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King below her.

A new era for soul beasts had quietly begun.
