Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 : THE CABIN

Arch is now back on track with the system-based analysis of the writings.

ARCH :System? How can you translate these writings? Do I need to plug it in or something?.

*CREAKKKKK

The system didn't answer. Instead, the screen of the system just flashed, and the inventory tab appeared.

ARCH: So, I'll just need to place it on the inventory tab's screen surface, and you'll do the rest, like how I stored the card earlier... Hmm? So, no creepy door opening?.

Arch placed the phone onto the system screen, and magically, the phone was absorbed, like how quicksand sinks its prey.

ARCH : I guess it's all about the size of the object," he muttered. "I can store small things or same-sized things with this system screen, and bigger objects need to be transported with the help of some tentacles... Gurarara... that sounds hilarious."

SYSTEM: [INVENTORY]....[X1 PHONE]....[ANALYZING CONTENTS ]...

ARCH; hey...system ?How many seconds? Minutes? Hours do you need to analyze and translate the writings?..

But the system didn't give an answer.

ARCH:What a cliffhanger,""Arch muttered to himself. "Anyways, I need to keep moving. Surely, this system would notify me if it's finally translated all the writings.

After he decided to start moving to search for the exit, he walked through the same way he took where the swamp was. After walking for ten minutes, he reached the swamp again. He looked around the swamp.

ARCH: Still no crocodiles," he muttered, shaking his head in disappointment.

Then, he continued his walk. There was a rock formation like a path, so he climbed onto the rock formation. The rock formation was made of red-like stones with moss on it.

Because of the moss, the stone was kinda slippery, so he walked more carefully. After reaching the end of the red-stoned path, he saw, just four meters away from him, a cabin. But unlike all the houses and cabins he had seen along the way, this cabin was perfectly intact.

ARCH: Hmmm, a cabin?"

Then, without wasting any more seconds, he walked towards the cabin. The cabin was covered with dark-green vines, showing how time had played its part in covering the entire cabin. The cabin had a dark brown colored wood. He couldn't distinguish the real color of the woods, but based on his own observation, he thought the cabin was dark brown, with the vines surrounding the cabin like it was some kind of hidden treasure.

ARCH:Oh... hey, Mr. Cabin, yah feeling alright? With those vines around yah, you look like a treasure box! The only question now is... if you have treasures inside... Gurarara!.

Arch walked around the 1,000–1,400 square-foot cabin. He was looking for the door of this cabin. After searching for some time, he saw the door. Vines were clinging to the door like some koala. He pulled the dark-green vines that were covering the door.

ARCH: Fuck these vines... you dare to cover that door?

After saying those sarcastic words, he pulled the vines as hard as he could. His imagination kicked in again; it felt to him like he was trying to save a lady, which was supposedly the door, from the lustful octopus, which was the dark-green vines.

ARCH;

Gurarararara! There is nothing to fear! I am a son of Whitebeard!" he shouted.

After his bold declaration, he used more strength to pull the dark vines. After exerting more strength, the vines dropped to the ground. He was imagining the dead body of the octopus on the ground, and finally, he had saved the pitiful lady, or the door.

ARCH: GURARARARARA..."I have not grown weak... You underestimate me".

After his victory, the system creaked open and showed him his Status tab.

ARCH:Hmmm... an increase to the Whitebeard Template? That makes sense. I was literally saying his catchphrase like it was my own words... Gurarara... interesting

After the path was cleared, he walked toward the door. He tried to grab the wooden door handle, but he couldn't reach it. So, he tried to push the door instead, but the door wouldn't budge. Then, he stepped back for about five feet away from the door. He took a deep breath and... swoosh! He ran towards the door, trying to use the impact and the force of his speeding body.

ARCH: gurarara...Have a taste of my kick, you stupid door! Sanji Style: Veau Shotttttt!

With Arch's dramatic flying kick, the old door couldn't take the full force of the Veau Shot. The door couldn't help but accept its loss to this ruthless, white-haired kid.

ARCH: His imagination kicked in again. He spoke to the broken door: "It turned out you're not a lady... you are a skinwalker in human skin! You almost got me there."

With his hand tucked inside his chiton's imaginary pocket, he walked inside the cabin without looking back at the broken door. An imaginary explosion happened while he was walking toward the cabin's interior, like he was some kind of Hollywood actor in an action movie.

Arch is now inside the pitch-dark cabin, focused on his imaginary cinematic moment. The dark wooden door is shattered behind him, and the snow-white fox-snake creature is still watching from its perch outside.

ARCH; why...always pitch-black?

The air inside the cabin is stale, thick, and cold, carrying the heavy scent of petroleum and damp earth, rather than the usual decay of the underground.

ARCH:Hey, System, can you give me my phone first... wait, the phone is being analyzed. Just help me with anything that will light and illuminate this pitch-dark place.

SYSTEM:[PROCESSING]

After Arch asked the system for some assistance, the system screen lit up like a flat-screen flashlight.

ARCH: gives a thumbs up..yah know system you need some fucking raise. Or promotion !

And now that the room was as clear as day...
