Unlike Xie Wen.who cried after the humiliation back then ,he didn't cry. He knew he deserved it. Although he was an omega,he wasn't one to break easily.
When Xie Wen went back to his office he was restless,he knew the omega deserved what he did to him but the bond between them made him feel a little sad.
The door to his office burst open with the one and only Yu Yang walking in.
"I heard you caused a scene at the lobby. It's not like you to lose your cool. Who was it?"
"Just some random omega,"he said trying to sound casual to hide his feelings. He couldn't deny that the sight of his mate triggered something in him.
"Are you okay?" Yu Yang asked his voice full of concern.
"Yeah I'm fine,"he lied knowing his friend wouldn't buy it .
"We're best friends you know you can tell me what's wrong,"Yu Yang insisted.
"I'm fine just feeling tired,"he replied,his voice slightly on edge betraying the annoyance.

Everyday Guo Rui showed up at the company hoping to see his mate. He usually waited outside to approach him especially whenever he got off work. Every time he was dismissed by harsh words, sometimes ignored but he didn't give up. No matter what he did,the alpha's heart didn't soften even a bit.
Dark grey nimbus clouds covered the sky ,a sign of heavy rain that was on its way. Guo Rui knew it was dangerous to stay there with that kind of weather but his stubborn mind didn't let him. Even when the small droplets of rain enlarged into large ones mercilessly attacking his fragile body,he didn't budge at all. He hugged his body trying to retain the little warmth left.
Xie Wen stood by the window of his office, taking slow drags of his cigarette. His eyes drifted to the outside when he suddenly remembered the omega that usually waited for him everyday. Everyone else at the company had already left while he stayed behind to work overtime. Now with the storm approaching,he was sure he wouldn't leave anytime soon.
Instead of a cup of hot coffee,he always opted for a cigarette to warm his body. His sharp eyes caught a familiar silhouette under the heavy rain. Without a doubt he knew who it was. For a second he felt a little concerned about the omega but he dismissed the thought off,"It's his choice. He's just doing that to soften my heart. What a great manipulator,"he scoffed tearing his gaze away from the window.
When the rain finally died out,Guo Rui was practically drenched from head to toe. His clothes were dripping wet like freshly washed clothes. He walked towards the bus stop knowing well he had no bus fare and even if he had he might get kicked out for soaking the bus seats but he still went there anyway.
He sat there waiting for the last bus which would probably arrive in an hour. As he sat there he thought of his life decisions. He had spent a week relentless pursuing his mate but the man acted like he was made of stone. For a moment he thought of giving up. His body trembled violently under the impact of the biting cold and his already wet clothes made it even worse.
A low hum of a car was discerned before a greyish car halted to a stop infront of him. The driver lowered the window peeking outside. The omega looked up and their eyes met.
"Hey,you look like you're about to die,"the stranger said and opened the car door stepping outside with an umbrella. The omega have him a blank look.
"Let me give you a ride,"the stranger who by his scent and aura happened to be an alpha offered flashing a gentle smile at him.
"I don't accept help from strangers,"he retorted sharply despite his vulnerable state.
The stranger chuckled in amusement,"I'm Feng Tao,a police officer at Haiyang Bureau. You can verify my identity if you want but judging from your state I bet you're not able to do that."
Guo Rui contemplated for a while weighing his options and eventually decided to leave with the stranger.

After the extreme exposure to the heavy rain,Guo Rui fell sick and couldn't get out of bed from four days. Strangely,the police officer had been constantly checking up on him . The police officer spent a lot of time at his house.
From what Guo Rui learnt,Feng Tao had been rejected by his mate and since then he had been single,not willing to open up his heart for anyone. The omega kind of felt guilty because he had done the same thing to a once kind and soft hearted alpha. He didn't reveal much details about his life to the alpha and the alpha didn't question much.

Xie Wen told himself he shouldn't care but he couldn't help himself from feeling troubled by Guo Rui's absence. It was probably for the best that the omega had stopped bugging him yet he felt like something was missing.
"Maybe he gave up after all,"he mumbled to himself despite his eyes flickering around the parking lot in search of the omega. He and his secretary were heading out to meet a client in another company.
On their way back, Secretary Shen requested to stop by a convenience store to grab something.
"Sir, would you like something from the store?" The secretary asked.
"No. Suit yourself,"he said with a tone of dismissal.
He sat restlessly at the back seat,a scowl on his face. He coincidentally looked outside and what he saw made his insides burn with rage. There he was; the missing in action omega walking out of the convenience store with an alpha, chatting animatedly and laughing a bit too softly. His fingers clenched into fists,his eyes darkening with fury. He almost stormed out of the car to confront them but he controlled himself.
"So this is why he hasn't been showing up,"he said through his clenched teeth,his pheromones filling the car with a suffocating presence that had Secretary Shen stumbling back the moment he opened the car's door.
Noticing the older man's discomfort,he toned down his scent and only then was it safe for Secretary Shen to get in. Xie Wen was one of the high rank alphas so naturally his pheromones had an effect on less stronger alphas.
His eyes followed the duo till they got in their car.
"Follow them,"he instructed.

Two days later,Guo Rui was getting ready for his appointment at the Lingyun Tech. He wasn't sure how he managed to earn the chance to talk to the CEO but it definitely felt like a miracle.
The moment he arrived at the company,he was escorted to the topmost floor where the CEO's office was. Bracing himself well,he knocked and when he heard a faint come in from the inside,he pushed the door carefully and walked inside. His eyes scanned the well designed cabin before landing on the CEO who sat on a swivel chair,his large well polished working desk filled with meticulously arranged documents to the left ,a working PC slightly to the right then a sleek name plate with his name written in shiny letters.
"Xie Wen,"the omega bowed.
"It's Mr Xie to you,"the alpha said coldly not sparing him a glance.
"You've been constantly begging me for a job so I think I've found something for you,"the CEO informed.
"Thank you Mr Xie. Here is my résumé,"he said handing over his papers to him. Xie Wen skimmed through the details barely paying attention and placed it aside.
"I had the HR draft a contract. If you sign it you'll be working as my assistant,"he said smoothly giving him a document.
The omega, desperate to earn a living didn't even waste time reading the contract. He immediately signed it and handed it back.
"Did you read the terms and conditions?" The CEO asked ,his lips curling into an evil smirk.
"Uh...yes... Not necessary,"the omega fumbled with his own words.
"Read through the contract again especially Clause number fourteen,"Xie Wen said with a knowing smirk and gave him the contract papers.
"Party B will willingly fulfill Party A's sexual favours without any complaints. Party B shall not see any other alphas. If Party B breaches the contract they will be fined a total of 10,000,000 yuan."
Those were the words staring right at him. He blinked in disbelief and read them again as if the words would change.
"This is unacceptable,"he blurted out .
"You already signed the contract darling,"the alpha said teasingly.
