In the Baltimore Imperial Capital,
[ The home of renowned swordsman, Sir. Henwick Bolders]
Clack! Clack!, [ the sound of a doorknob turning]
A set of boots step into a dark house, as the light of street lanterns cast long shadows in the already dark house interior.
Clap! Clap!!,[ the sound of palms slapping against each other ]
" Illuminate!!. Huh! [ The voice seems frustrated ]. I seriously have to get these light crystal lanterns checked".
As the Henwick prepares to cast a light orb spell, a fast figure, moves close from behind. With a coy and mocking tone,
" why hello Sir Henwick! ".
Sir Henwick reacted on instinct, turning his head. He couldn't believe a person had snuck in unnoticed. He thought of how to get out of the situation. He turned dramatically, unsheathing a longsword, brandishing the empire's insignia.
The figure ducked and evaded the near perfect counter. With a sharp side step along the lateral side of the blade, the figure struck Sir Henwick in his abdomen with his dagger. The wound although shallow, gushed with blood, staining his white uniform.
Clutching his abdomen, Sir Henwick asked a question in a shaky voice.
" W~ why are you here, from what I know, people of your kind of work don't just go around cleaving heads now do they?!.
Whose bearing a grudge against me? ".
The assassin responded,
" although I will commend your deduction skills, there is no Ill will, simply an errand to finish. As a knight of respectable repute, I will grant you the gift of knowing your foe. I am the assassin known as, Shadow Wolf ".
With those words, he charged at Sir Henwick. Sir Henwick was frozen in place. The pain in his gut was not all that serious. He quickly realized that it wasn't just a knife wound. There was paralysis poison laced in the strike. Stuck in place, he could only look on as a sleek black dagger struck his neck, cleaving it off in one go.
Shadow Wolf flicked his dagger, clearing his blood off it's cutting edge. Crouching next to Sir Henwick's body, he took a red envelope from his pocket. Placing it in his pocket, Shadow Wolf checked his pocket watch, and declared the assassination time, 23: 00 hours, on the seventh day of the fifth month of the First Imperial calendar.
Disintegrating into flickers of darkness, he bid the swordman farewell.
In the campus of Bright Star Academy,
A young, white haired girl walked among a crowd of students. She wore the same uniform as the students. Which meant she was also a student. Looking around, some first year students wave to her, referring to her as Sister Alesha. She waves back, giving a bright smile.
She sits on a nearby bench and contemplates on what to do now that Sir Henwick has been discovered. She decides to head back home and report to her father and mother. She was also eager to see her darling little brother.
Saying this, her eyes beam in adoration over the thought of seeing August again.
She gets up and makes her way back to her dormroom, hoisting a bow and arrow on her back.
Back at the Black Manner,
I decided to give all my attribute magics a try. I tried the other elemental type magics. I found, air magic more tactical, fire magic was more of a vanguard and Frontline type magic and earth magic was a bit of both.
Next I tried using sinergy. Holding a silver spoon I borrowed from the kitchen, I analized it and found out it's composition. My vast knowledge of chemistry from Japan helped a lot in the breakdown of the method of use. Soon after, I was able to convert the spoon into a small sphere of highly pure silver. The spoon was made of an impure composition of silver. purifying it by using mana as an electrolyte, I managed to get a pure mass of silver which I turned into a ball. I was in jubilation when the maids outside suddenly heard a thud. I had fainted. Screaming out for me, they rushed to tend to me, luckily I was alright. My mana was simply depleted.
I woke up to the worried faces of Anna-May, my mother and my father. Their mana presences were intense. Keeping my calm, I called out for them. My father, although intimidating at a glance was a pamperer at heart. He hugged me so tightly I could barely breathe, I called out for My mother, who kept him under wraps with a death stare. Looking at both of them, I cherished having such a nice family, and dozed off once more.
In my unconscious state, I had what i would describe as a vision. I was in the same realm I was transported to before coming to the world of Grandiose. The realm was quiet. Calling out, I was expecting to see Lumina. Instead, I saw something pure evil. I wasn't sure of my senses but at that moment, I felt the same fear I would usually feel in the presence of my past life bullies. However, this was much much worse.
A black hole appeared. And from it, a being formed, as if made of the black hole itself. The being looked much like Lumina, but had some noticeable differences. She knew my name and introduced herself as Melanie, and showed interest in my potential. Waking from the dream I found that it was already the next day.
I sat up, deciding to meditate and clear my mental scape.
Suddenly, I felt waves of energy leaving my body. Lumina's voice range out, explaining that I was unconsciously using mana detection. I sensed a cart camping towards the manner on the hill.
The cart had the insignia of the family on it. Meaning my sister was home. However, this was too soon. Looking out the window, I wondered what had happened. My sister, Sensitive as ever looked my way, sensing a strong magical gaze. I quickly hid. I knew then and there, that I had to be careful where I use my spells.
