Zuran followed behind Ren as they made their way through the street.
Some people were still out, moving around in the streets despite the late hour. Some beasts really did not care about night or day at all. Some preferred moving at night, while others moved freely during the day. The time did not matter much to them, and the streets remained active either way.
Zuran kept his eyes on Ren as they arrived in front of a grand-looking restaurant. It was decorated in a luxurious red pattern, with lanterns hanging around the building. The glow from the lanterns illuminated the entrance and the street around it. Beasts moved in and out of the building constantly, laughter and cheers roaring from within, spilling into the night air.
The place looked lively, crowded, and loud.
"You know you can throw away the dagger, right?" Ren said, his eyes still fixed on the entrance. "You don't have to always stand on edge to kill me."
