"Adorable…" Ren found himself saying. These were supposed to be monsters. According to legend and myth, these were ancient beast babies that would end mankind—demonic beings to be feared.
But Ren found them completely adorable.
"Who are you two…?" the little lion asked. He didn't seem happy to see them at all.
PRIDE, Ren thought as he stared at the red-haired boy.
"Are you here to fight us? Because I won't go down without a fight! I'll fight back!" the little dragon declared, opening his palm as fire sparked from it.
These kids were speaking in a dialect Ren wasn't used to—one that sounded ancient. He was in a historical period, so it was obvious the Chinese everyone here used was traditional and old. But these kids used a heavier, more archaic form. Luckily, he could understand them. He'd just have to get used to it.
He blinked. This kid was WRATH, and he knew what he was capable of.
