Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 : Tang San's Orders

While one person was busy planning for his future, another scene was unfolding far away at the Clear Sky Sect, high up within the clouds. Outside the Sect Master's pavilion, two figures were sitting in a gazebo, playing a game of chess and talking. It did not take long for the larger, more robust man to lose his patience.

He looked pained as he complained to his companion that the tea they were drinking had no taste at all. The other man, who wore a sky-blue robe, calmly put down his teacup. He looked at his robust friend and told him that he could only drink alcohol once his mind was finally clear.

The big man insisted that his mind was already clear, but the blue-robed man quickly corrected him. He asked if his mind was clear enough to justify giving alcohol to little Dong'er. The robust man looked away, feeling guilty.

He tried to argue in a low voice that he was only trying to be kind. He explained that he had dug up some special monkey wine that he had buried thousands of years ago. He thought the medicine in the wine would help make little Dong'er's physique much stronger.

The man in blue became grumpy and pointed out that his "kindness" had caused the little girl to fall into a deep sleep for several months. He reminded his friend that the girl was not even six years old yet and told him to stop using Spirit Beast methods on a human child.

The big man did not dare to talk back. Just as the blue-robed man was about to scold him more, both of them suddenly felt something and stiffened. Their relaxed moods disappeared instantly. Without saying a word, they both moved quickly to a secret room inside the Sect Master's pavilion.

Once they were inside, they both touched their foreheads at the same time. Two streams of blue and gold light flew out from their heads and merged together. Slowly, the light took the shape of a person. It was Tang San. He looked at the two men with a gentle smile and greeted them by calling them Da Ming and Er Ming.

Da Ming stood still for a second before dropping to one knee. He addressed the figure as the Sea God. Er Ming followed his lead and quickly knelt down as well. Tang San looked a bit helpless and asked why they were being so formal with him.

However, he did not tell them to stand up. Instead, he got straight to the point and told them that he needed them to do something for him. Da Ming kept his head bowed and told the Sea God to give them his command. A look of satisfaction crossed Tang San's eyes as he told them that he wanted them to kill someone for him.

A little while later, Da Ming and Er Ming were back in the gazebo. They sat in their usual spots, but the air felt very heavy now. They were no longer relaxed. After a long silence, Er Ming finally spoke up and asked his brother what he thought about the order they had been given. Da Ming answered simply that he was going to lie down and think about it.

When Er Ming asked if that meant they weren't going to kill the person, Da Ming told him there was no rush. He explained that since Tang San had removed his divine thought from their minds, it showed that he did not want anyone else to know he had ordered this hit.

Da Ming believed that Tang San was afraid of other gods finding out. He worried that if they acted now, something bad might happen to them whether they succeeded or failed. Er Ming felt angry and asked if they were just supposed to go to their deaths. Da Ming told him not to panic. He suggested that they just wait and move slowly. He pointed out that because Tang San was trying to hide his tracks, he had removed the restrictions and self-sealed his divine thought in the secret room.

This meant he could not control them for the time being. Da Ming reminded Er Ming that one day in the God Realm is like a whole year in the Douluo World. He planned to drag the mission out for a few years. He joked that someone as pure as the Sea God wouldn't want to get his hands dirty by acting against them personally.

Er Ming laughed a bit at that and agreed. Da Ming told him to send someone to the Sun Moon Empire to look around, just to make it look like they were doing something. If Tang San didn't push them, they would just leave it alone. Er Ming nodded and left to give the orders. Left alone in the gazebo, Da Ming sipped his tea and looked off toward the Sun Moon Empire.

A few days later, at the Kong family mansion in the Sun Moon Empire, the sound of loud punches filled the training ground. Xiao Hongchen was doing his own workout, which he had already doubled, but he was staring at someone else in the field with a strange look on his face. He asked his sister, Miss Meng, if she had given the guy some kind of drug. Miss Meng shook her head and said she hadn't had the chance to do that yet.

Xiao Hongchen was shocked because the guy had been training at an insane level for the past few days. He had been doing four hours of high-intensity training that would normally destroy a person's body. Xiao Hongchen knew that if he tried that, he would end up in the hospital, yet this person acted like it was nothing.

Miss Meng didn't seem surprised at all. She said it was likely just another one of Mingan's new achievements. She was used to him making rapid progress and coming up with amazing things. She sat back in a relaxed pose and watched Mingan train without his shirt on. She thought about how good his physique looked and wondered what it would feel like to touch him.

After a long time, Kong Mingan finally finished his training and closed his eyes to let his body calm down. Only he could see the phantom of Electrolux, who was watching him with great interest. Electrolux commented on how Mingan was using spirit power to act like a Spirit Ability that stimulated the acupoints in his body to strengthen his physical form.

He noted that it was a bit like the techniques knights used, but still very different. Mingan spoke to him in his mind, saying that the systems were different because the power foundations were different. He admitted that his current "Body Cultivator" framework was still very simple and crude.

Mingan wasn't being modest; he was being honest. He felt that his current strength wasn't enough to face the threat of a God King. He told Electrolux that while the knight system didn't fit the Douluo World well, the "Blood Refinement Golden Body" technique Electrolux had shared was very useful for research. Electrolux was excited to see Mingan's experiments. He was now sure that the young man was a "fellow traveler" who loved exploring the unknown just as much as he did.

He had stopped thinking of Mingan as just a student and now saw him as an equal. He asked if Mingan was planning to use Spirit Beast blood instead of demonic beast blood for his technique. Mingan shook his head and said he had a more direct idea. He wanted to use his own "Qi and Blood" to forge a golden body instead.
