Six years later.
"Young master it's time to wake up."
Luna's voice pulled me out of my slumber. I turned around and covered my head with a pillow and took a deep breath before sitting up. I looked towards the mirror facing my bed. White bed hair, red eyes, and a face that mostly resembled my mother. We all took her best features.
I didn't know who my father was; mother rarely talked about him. The only thing she would call him was a useless man. The only thing he left behind was the color of my hair since my mother's hair was red.
No one in the mansion really talked about him, and his sister seemed to have no memory of him.
I didn't really care, he was dead in my head. Luna pulled me out of bed and started to undress me with professional ease without any embarrassment.
It had been embarrassing for me when she first started to help me dress since she had still been a child but I got used to it. Nobel's clothing was annoying to put on since it had too many buttons, and just making it look right would take a while.
I knew that from experience.
"You're really excited aren't you?"
I said to her fondly. I was just as excited but this was the happiest I had seen her. She was vibrating on her feet. I smoothed the white shirt I was wearing and took one last glance at the mirror. Black trousers, black house shoes, and the simple clothes I loved to wear.
"You're going to make me a complete master."
She said enthusiastically. I rubbed her head and walked out of the room with her happily following behind me. It was going to be a long day.
...
I looked at Luna's sleeping face, she had grown more beautiful than I had anticipated. Black flowing silky hair, shining green eyes, a perfect nose, and pink plump lips. I had even noticed some of the knights would sneak a glance or two every time she passed.
I ran my hand through her hair softly, checking to see if she had any problems I had not noticed. Her body twitched and her eyes moved underneath her closed eyelids
She had started to get used to the anaesthesia. I had expected her to wake up in two to three hours just like the other slaves but it only lasted thirty minutes.
Maybe I should change the recipe a little, I thought to myself.
"Welcome back my darling Luna."
I whispered to her waking form. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked up at me. I was leaning over her looking down at her.
The most beautiful smile bloomed on her face after our eyes met. I leaned in and kissed her forehead. She had truly become mine, no one can ever take her away from me.
"I'm complete master."
She whispered softly. Her voice was like a feather rubbing softly in my eardrums.
"Yes...yes you are my darling Luna."
I whispered back softly.
Last season Luna had requested that I plant my obedience spell in her brain. Since I had already gotten the ways, mechanics, and had done enough research to be confident in placing it in her brain without accidentally brainwashing her or destroying her brain.
She must have noticed my unease with her only having the normal obedience collar. The operation had taken a bit of preparation and more testing from both sides before we set the date for today.
The operation wouldn't cause any harm to her; it was just a form of guarantee I needed, and she had shown her loyalty to me spectacularly. I have never been as proud of her as I am now.
Right now she was as perfect as she could be and totally mine.
"Any discomfort?"
I asked while checking her vitals. I didn't want anything to go wrong after everything we had gone through.
"No, master I couldn't be better."
She smiled at me again. I smiled back at her and nodded. I walked to the cleaning area and started to wash my blood-stained hands.
Looking at her maturing body, I couldn't believe how fast she was growing. When I met her, she had been a tiny little thing but right now she was almost on the verge of womanhood. It gave me a bittersweet memory.
"After I heal, can I go adventuring master. I would like to help you with gathering materials?"
This topic had been going on between us since she learnt to fight, but she had been too young to leave.
But right now, she was old enough to leave home on her own without supervision or being attacked by other adventurers. Her teachers had really helped her in her studies.
Speaking of teachers, I looked down at the drowsy Luna. She had really proved her devotion in the best way I could even think of.
The next day, after they had asked to buy Luna, they tried to kidnap her. Saving her from the cruel master was what they tried to convince her of while hatching the plan on how to leave the duchy.
Luna had reported everything they were planning to do to me of course. They had really crossed the line of no return after that. They genuinely thought Luna would run away with them with a bit of convincing, treating her like a normal child.
Killing the magic teacher had been easier, her head had been sliced off before she could even notice. She treated Luna more like her child than a student.
The adventurer had been a challenge since he noticed her killing intent but she managed to kill him after a blow exchange. She stabbed him right through the heart. That was what she had told me after she came back with blood on her maid uniform.
"Yes you can become an adventurer, we just have to register you."
I said fondly. Her eyes lit up the moment I confirmed her please. She has been begging for almost eight years to go be an adventurer.
I couldn't allow her to go be an adventurer unless she was officially registered in the adventurers' guild.
Unregistered adventurers were either criminals, banned by the guild, or just stupid people.
Registration was important since one might come across the official guild parties when they are adventuring. Fights due to conflict of interest may occur between the unregistered and registered.
The biggest advantage of being an official adventurer was the fact that one gets protection from the guild, unlike the unregistered, whose deaths always go unnoticed.
The Adventurers Guild basically dominated most of the adventuring areas. I didn't want Luna to be harassed so it was better to register her before she could go and play adventure out there.
She will also be able to bring me more exotic and newer samples instead of placing a request to the adventurers' guild, which requires paying them. Luna had tried getting me some of the ingredients but they were just from nearby woods that I knew were safe for a child to wander in.
"Master, can I have one more request?"
Her question brought me back to reality. I held the tips of her silk hair playing with it absentmindedly.
"Yes, anything."
I wanted to know what she would want since she rarely asked for anything.
"The adventurer's uniform."
She paused. I waited for her to continue but she was quiet as if contemplating whether she should continue or not.
"Do you want me to make you an outfit to wear?" I asked her directly since she was hesitant, "What kind do you want? I'll make it for you."
She maintained eye contact with them and opened her mouth, " I want a maid uniform."
To say I wasn't shocked would be a lie, I was genuinely shocked by her request. A maid uniform for an outfit, she had really surprised me this time.
"Are you sure?"
I asked skeptically. She nodded her head slowly.
"Okay."
I started to think about how I would design it. Maybe place frills around the edges, a headband to keep her hair in place, and it should be black and white in color. Making and enchanting it wasn't going to be a problem at all. I was going to make the best and most durable maid uniform she has ever worn.
"Rest well, you still need to recover."
Having your skull cut open was not a pleasant thing. I had used the healing potion but she still had to let her brain adapt.
One week later.
"What do you think?"
I asked Luna who was standing in front of the mirror. It had taken me two days to sew the dress and two more days to turn it into a defense item. Enchanting objects was not an easy thing, it requires maximum concentration and consumes a lot of magic power.
If done right, the products are always top-notch, but if done wrong, the product will be destroyed.
Looking at her standing there wearing what I had made, was a surreal moment. Her eyes were lit up and smiling as she touched her dress occasionally.
It was a long black and white maid uniform with a small headband on her head. It looked just like the ones the maids wore but this was enchanted and one of the best defense items in the kingdom.
"Thank you master."
She said softly as tears began to gather in her eyes. I smiled calmly beside her. It was her first time crying.
