Miracle City. The Dungeon Hall.
Nancyliya was sweeping the floor.
Boss Ren was not a heartless, humanoid leek-harvesting machine. He cared deeply about the experience of his leeks. Whether inside or outside the dungeon, if the leeks were harvested comfortably, they would produce more Spirit Power. For that reason, he demanded that the hall be kept spotless, without a speck of dust.
"This lord really knows how to order people around!"
Nancyliya's broom was moving so fast it was almost leaving afterimages.
"Whatever. This poor fool still has no idea what kind of miserable fate awaits him in the future."
The Gloomshade Valley lay in an inconspicuous corner at the edge of the Evernight Forest. The Evernight Forest was packed with forces both large and small. The power balance here was something no ordinary dungeon lord could possibly shake.
If a small human lord descended here, it could only be called bad luck. Once he left Gloomshade Valley, he would realize that his dungeon was utterly insignificant in the face of the surrounding powers.
In fact, he might not even manage to leave the valley alive.
The goblin lord of Gloomshade Valley, Bloodthroat, was no simple opponent. Dark-race goblins under Darkshade City numbered close to three thousand, with at least fifteen hundred combat units among them.
If this human lord came from a top-tier lord family or a powerful faction, that would be one thing. But an ordinary small lord with no backing was doomed to tragedy the moment he descended into the Evernight Forest.
Nancyliya sympathized deeply, yet there was nothing she could do.
Although she herself was a higher-tier powerhouse, Gloomshade Valley was a Tier-One region. Any outsider entering it would be restricted by the laws of the land and could only exert Tier-One strength at most.
In other words.
Outside the valley, Nancyliya was confident she could kill Bloodthroat with a single finger.
Inside the valley, however, she had no certainty she could defeat that dark goblin.
Moreover, she dared not use her power, nor could she reveal her identity. The entire Evernight Forest lay within the domain of the Evernight Dragon King, and that monster was actively searching for her whereabouts.
When she escaped from Sacred Tree City, her grandmother had paid for it with her life.
Nancyliya had to live on for her people.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of revenge. She intended to find a lord with enough potential, support him as he grew, and one day challenge the Evernight Dragon King, avenging all the fallen members of her clan.
Unfortunately! This dungeon! Did not have that capability!
Miracle City was far too weak! No background. No future. Doomed to tragedy!
The Evernight Dragon King was the most terrifying dark-race demon king the forest had seen in thousands of years. Only dungeons with top-tier potential, top-tier aptitude, and powerful backing had any chance of standing against him.
Still, this city had over twenty days of beginner protection remaining. Hiding here would be very safe for now. Working diligently for the lord at this moment could be considered repayment for his hospitality.
Thinking this, Nancyliya swung her broom even faster.
The Dungeon Hall was soon so clean it practically gleamed, spotless and immaculate.
At that moment. The main doors of the hall were pushed open.
Hundreds of people of all shapes and sizes rushed in. Shouting loudly, they surged forward in a mad scramble.
Nancyliya was knocked off balance, spun around in place a full seven hundred and twenty degrees, and crashed to the ground, clutching her broom with a completely stunned expression.
"W–What just happened?!" "Adventurers? Why are there so many adventurers?!"
The dungeon had been open for less than a minute, and exactly one hundred and sixty people had already entered the hall.
Miracle City's current daily reception limit was one hundred and sixty. Filling up in a single minute meant that the number of potential adventurers was far higher than that—many simply hadn't been fast enough to get in.
Nancyliya had seen plenty in her life and had interacted with several dungeons alongside her elders, but she had never witnessed anything like this. It was utterly unbelievable.
"Huh?" "Isn't that the gnome we captured yesterday?" "She's already working?" "Hahaha!" "Not bad, not bad!"
Nekomi Momo and White Fawn walked over and helped Nancyliya up.
"Hey, little one." "Are you alright?" "These people have zero public decency!" "They're even more zombie-like than zombies!"
The gnome girl had freckles and plain features, but her eyes were bright and her demeanor gentle, which made the female adventurers like her immediately.
Nekomi Momo took out a small piece of chocolate and stuffed it into Nancyliya's mouth.
"Here, a little compensation for you."
Nancyliya instinctively resisted being fed, but the moment the sweet flavor spread through her mouth, her eyes widened in shock.
What was this? It was unbelievably delicious. She had never tasted anything like it!
White Fawn said, "Ah, we're out of crystals!"
Nekomi Momo replied, "It's fine. No rush. We'll have more soon."
White Fawn suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, look! Sister Moonlight grabbed a spot!"
Nekomi Momo laughed. "She's usually so refined, the academy's number-one goddess. Who knew she'd turn so unladylike just to fight zombies?"
"Let's go watch her run the dungeon!" "Alright!"
There were currently only twenty dungeon crystals available. The remaining adventurers could only line up and watch their companions perform.
As the newly appointed 'web admin,' Nancyliya naturally needed to understand the dungeon's content. Driven by curiosity, she followed the adventurers to watch the run.
When the first glimpse of the Doomsday Frenzy world appeared before her eyes, Nancyliya was instantly shaken.
This dungeon… was different.
She had never seen a dungeon this vivid and rich.
Novel environments, frenzied undead, chilling apocalyptic scenery, dense environmental storytelling, and the adventurers' perilous exploration and combat made it impossible for her to deny how captivating it was.
An hour later. More and more adventurers were clearing the Doomsday Frenzy dungeon.
They began forming parties to challenge the main stages together.
"Hotheaded Chick: Party up!" "Lone Wolf: Add me!" "Boar King: I'm in too!" "Nekomi Momo: Count me in!"
Nancyliya watched as the adventurers called out to one another and quickly formed a team.
Then. The thrilling adventure began.
The four entered the dungeon. They coordinated to clear zombies, scavenged resources, and armed themselves rapidly. In just twenty minutes, they had gathered enough ammunition and found a submachine gun and a shotgun.
"This run's going smoothly!"
Just as they relaxed slightly, a long tongue burst through a window from a nearby room.
Nekomi Momo was caught completely off guard, strangled and dragged straight through the window. Bloodthirsty zombie roars immediately erupted from inside the room.
"Oh no!"
Nancyliya covered her mouth. She had grown fond of the adventurer girl who had given her chocolate.
There were at least eight or nine zombies in that room. With the Smoker constricting her, Nekomi Momo would be torn apart within seconds. Even if her teammates broke in immediately, it would likely be too late.
A tragedy. Was about to unfold.
At the critical moment, Hotheaded Chick raised the shotgun and fired straight at the wall.
The result was unexpected—the shot pierced the wall and blew the Smoker zombie's head apart.
Freed, Nekomi Momo pulled the trigger of her SMG. A burst of bullets mowed down the zombies closing in around her.
Boar King and Lone Wolf kicked down the door and finished off the remaining zombies.
"Holy hell!" "That worked?!" "Chick, that was insane!" "Momo's amazing too!"
No one had expected such an operation or gameplay. The desperate counterkill was spectacular, sending the watching adventurers into cheers.
Nancyliya felt her spirits lift as well. The horror of the zombies and the coordination between adventurers made her cheer internally. This really was an incredibly fun dungeon.
Just as she was still celebrating Nekomi Momo's narrow escape, another special zombie appeared at the end of the corridor.
It was one she had never seen before—hideously ugly, massive in size. Its right arm was grotesquely huge, its left arm severely shriveled, horribly unbalanced, yet it moved at an astonishing speed.
"Charger!"
The adventurers never imagined they would encounter two special zombies in such a short time.
Too fast. Way too fast. No time to react at all.
The Charger grabbed Nekomi Momo and slammed her into the wall, her skull shattering as she died instantly.
"Damn it!"
The others opened fire desperately, but the Charger's hide was thick and tough. Bullets did nothing. It charged through the gunfire and smashed into Hotheaded Chick with a brutal shoulder tackle, killing him as well.
Lone Wolf and Boar King had never seen such a frenzied monster. They fired wildly in retaliation. At last, they brought it down.
"It's over!" "We're out of ammo!"
Although they managed to kill the Charger, the fight had consumed too much ammunition. Soon after, they were surrounded by zombies and met tragic deaths.
As the horde closed in, Even with no ammo left, the adventurers still swung their axes and fought to the bitter end—a scene filled with despair and grim heroism.
Spectacular. Thrilling.
Nancyliya was completely captivated by this kind of adventure. She finally understood why this dungeon was so beloved by adventurers. Even she felt the urge to personally experience it.
From conversations among the adventurers, She learned another shocking piece of news.
This dungeon had only been open for three days.
No background. No support.
In just three days, it had developed to this level. In just three days, it had attracted so many adventurers and produced such a high-quality, finely crafted dungeon.
It was unbelievable. A true miracle.
Nancyliya realized then. She had severely underestimated Miracle City.
The potential of this dungeon might be far greater than she had ever imagined.
