Chapter 231 - Chapter 231 : Erebus is loyal??

At Ghomorra's Dark Throne.

Many Players from the Emperor Niuma Battle Group were seething with anger.

That damned Erebus was like a loach, slippery and incredibly good at escaping.

In just a moment, he had used Venomblade to tear open space and flee.

"I knew I shouldn't have gone after Vect."

The Warmaster sounded a bit regretful.

Catching Vect didn't really matter.

Without Ghomorra, this supreme overlord was mostly crippled and could no longer pose any threat to the Imperium.

Erebus was different; that guy was incredibly mischievous.

Once he escaped, who knew what kind of schemes and tricks he would bring when he reappeared next time.

Moreover, given the evil deeds Erebus had committed, even a thousand cuts wouldn't be too much for him.

Letting that scoundrel escape alive was a source of deep regret for every Player.

"Remember, next time you see Erebus, attack his hands first! Don't let that bastard escape again using Venomblade!"

Tenjiro summarized the mistakes of this battle.

The biggest problem was not breaking Erebus's limbs and sealing his psychic powers.

Everyone was too focused on attacking that scoundrel and couldn't think calmly, which allowed the opponent to take advantage.

Other Players also joined the conversation.

"That's right, if we had broken Erebus's hands at the beginning, he definitely wouldn't have been able to run."

"Let Dora Workshop develop a device that can restrict space-time; that way, we can prevent enemies from escaping."

"We really need to find a way to deal with enemies escaping using space."

"Tenjiro, you need to learn some binding spells."

Erebus had fled.

The Players could only redirect their anger towards the enemies still on the battlefield.

They all activated their thrusters and flew towards the battlefield, ready to unleash a massacre.

The battlefield at this moment was still in utter chaos.

All factions were fighting fiercely.

Tzeentch's demonic army and Khorne's demonic army were still slaughtering each other, locked in an intense battle.

Orks and Tyranids / Tyranid were also joining the fun.

Only Zarakynel, the Tormentor, and Ku'gath, the Father Nurgle of Plagues, were still leading their demonic armies to attack the Dark Throne,

hoping to prevent humans and the Aeldari from repairing Ghomorra and gaining control of the Webway.

The two Greater Daemons were speechless about Kairos and Angrath, those two clowns.

When couldn't they seek revenge?

They just had to cause internal conflict and slaughter each other at this critical juncture.

Once the Emperor's minions took Ghomorra, the Webway project that hadn't been realized before would restart.

You see, humans are the largest race in the galaxy; once the Webway project succeeds, and the Warp loses the emotional reflection of humanity, the daemons would have to endure a bitter life of three meals in nine days.

Therefore, humans absolutely cannot develop the Webway; they must dutifully serve as leeks and nourishment for the Warp.

If humans develop the Webway, what would the daemon lords eat? What would they play with?

These humans are too wicked; they actually want to starve so many beings in the Warp.

Zarakynel and Ku'gath, who were currently fighting humans, seemed to have a telepathic connection.

They simultaneously looked up, glancing at each other with a silent understanding.

The moment their gazes met, there was a fleeting sense of mutual appreciation between the two Greater Daemons.

But soon, Zarakynel felt a surge of disgust at Ku'gath's bloated, obese, and foul-smelling otaku-like appearance.

"Once this war is over, you're the first one I'll chop down, you fat slob, you disgusting daemon."

"How dare you exist in the Warp looking like that!"

Zarakynel was contemplating when to find an opportunity to stab Ku'gath a couple of times.

The existence of Nurgle's lot was simply a desecration of the Warp.

"Abusing toxins, taking pleasure in killing life, disregarding the natural cycle, sooner or later I'll grab you, you bitch, and throw you into the garden as fertilizer."

Ku'gath also couldn't stand Zarakynel.

What kind of trash was the Prince of Pleasure to be worthy of eating at the same table as Father Nurgle?

Both Greater Daemons had their own ulterior motives.

If the threat of the Emperor controlling the Webway wasn't so immense,

they would probably be fighting each other right now, trying to bash each other's brains out.

"Go fight Ku'gath."

"Ku'gath is an old acquaintance of ours; don't hold back."

"Beat the shit out of Ku'gath, then beat him back into his own shit."

"Uh!! Isn't Ku'gath just a pile of shit?"

The Warmaster and other Players had all experienced the Battle of Rock Hive City on Atoma.

They had encountered Ku'gath, summoned by plague cultists, there.

At that time, they hadn't yet changed their professions to Astartes.

Fighting Ku'gath was very difficult, and even the Living Saint almost fell there.

Times had changed.

Now, they had completed their second profession change, becoming Primaris warriors, and were also blessed with various skills.

The Players shouted various slogans, took off using their thrusters, and entered the battlefield.

At this moment, Ku'gath was engaged in combat with Handsome guy.

Several Custodians and Sisters of Silences were assisting him from the side. Whoosh!

Clang~~

Ku'gath moved his bloated and massive body, swinging his rust-covered greatsword.

When it landed, it was heavy and powerful, with a sharp whooshing sound.

Handsome guy swung his sword to block, producing a clanging sound.

"I hate the smell of you," Ku'gath extended his fat tongue, covered in sores and parasites, and as he spoke, an indescribable stench emanated from his mouth.

"Go back to the Warp, and you won't have to hate it anymore."

The radiance emanating from Handsome guy purified the foul odor.

Otherwise, just the smell alone could make a person lose their combat effectiveness.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Several Custodians nearby aimed their power halberds at Ku'gath, unleashing a furious barrage of bullets that struck his massive body.

"That hurts a lot!" Ku'gath shouted, shooting a beam of foul light from his mouth that sent Handsome guy flying.

Then, Ku'gath looked at the Custodians,

"You all must also taste my pain."

His tongue shot out like a frog's, grabbing one of the Custodians and flinging him away.

That Custodian rapidly mutated while in mid-air.

His sturdy and lustrous auramite armor quickly corroded and rusted, as if it had instantly aged millions of years.

The flesh and blood inside also rapidly decayed.

Bang!

That Custodian crashed into the wall, turning into a pile of rotten, rusted flesh and scrap metal.

"I am Ku'gath, Father Nurgle of Plagues, Master of Disease. In this universe, there are very few who can defeat me."

Just then, the Players arrived.

They opened fire on Ku'gath, and a dense volley of bolter rounds landed on his bloated, rotting mountain of flesh, splattering sticky gore.

"Don't gang up on me; that's not fair!"

Ku'gath spun around and realized that more and more humans were surrounding him.

"So what if we gang up on you, you fat slob?!" the Warmaster shouted. The thrusters on his back gave him extremely high mobility, allowing him to circle Ku'gath and attack.

"Then I'll have to find some help too."

As Ku'gath spoke, the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari structures, covered in spikes and blades, became slimy.

Plaguebearers crawled out of them, throwing flasks filled with plague at the humans, tying up the Players and Custodians who were besieging Ku'gath.

"Daemon, go back to the Warp."

Handsome guy, having gotten back up, began to run towards Ku'gath's position.

The radiance around him grew even stronger.

The weapon in his hand also glowed intensely. He looked like a god of war from a myth.

Handsome guy leaped up, his longsword striking at Ku'gath, but it was blocked, producing a clanging sound.

"Has no one told you that you're very annoying, little servant of the Emperor?"

Ku'gath kept muttering, his mouth not stopping since the battle began.

He launched a counterattack, spinning his greatsword over his head and then slamming it down.

Handsome guy leaped aside, and Ku'gath's weapon struck the ground, creating a terrifying deep pit.

Several lesser daemons lunged at him, but he crushed their bodies with his psychic powers.

"Do you think you can win?"

Ku'gath raised his diseased claw and attacked.

Handsome guy met the Greater Daemon's attack with a fierce slash, and as claw and blade collided, a shockwave erupted.

The Warmaster seized the opportunity to attack. He slashed Ku'gath's thigh with his sword, carving out a shocking wound.

"Cowardly sneak attack!"

Ku'gath cried out in pain. He raised his sword and struck at the Warmaster who had ambushed him.

Clang!

The Warmaster swung his sword to block. As the blow landed, he felt as if his internal organs were about to be displaced.

The power of this sword was too exaggerated.

During the collision, the Warmaster felt as if he was wrestling with a train.

When Ku'gath tried to launch a second attack,

Handsome guy extended his hand and unleashed a powerful psychic beam that deflected his descending sword.

"Damn it, can't you just fight fair, one-on-one?!" Ku'gath was enraged, glaring at Handsome guy.

Tenjiro struck down the Plaguebearer attacking him, then opened fire on Ku'gath.

The other Players did the same, running and shooting.

Bolter rounds and melta beams formed a dense net of fire,

landing on Ku'gath's body and splattering black goo.

"Damn Emperor's minions, why do you always like to outnumber your opponents?!"

Ku'gath grumbled, took a deep breath, and then exhaled, spraying a foul torrent at the Players.

Tenjiro blocked it with his psychic power.

Twisted person and Sea Turtle were not so lucky; the plague corroded their armor, and maggots crawled into the gaps.

"That's disgusting. Dismantling Protocol initiated."

"Everyone, move aside! Your grandpa is here!"

Twisted person limped towards Ku'gath.

"Grand Master, retreat quickly!" The Warmaster shouted at the Handsome guy.

The Handsome guy was confused, but he still dove to the side, putting distance between himself and Ku'gath.

Boom!

As soon as he got close to Ku'gath, Twisted person activated his self-destruct system.

The terrifying explosion stirred up visible airwaves, forcing everyone to seek cover or duck down to minimize the impact area.

Surging flames engulfed Ku'gath.

When the flames and airwaves dissipated, a charred, vitrified crater appeared in the smoky explosion site due to the high temperature. "Damn it, is this the only trick you bastards have?"

Ku'gath's voice came from the smoke.

The vitality of a Khorne Greater Daemon was unimaginable; even after enduring so many attacks and being hit by a close-range detonating fusion power core, he was still alive.

"For the Emperor!"

Sea Turtle unhesitatingly jumped into the deep pit and also activated his self-destruct sequence.

Boom!

Another earth-shattering explosion.

The Handsome guy watched, stunned.

These guys were unbelievably loyal!

He needed to learn from them!

"Is this all you've got?"

Ku'gath's voice came from the deep pit.

He crawled out of the deep pit, using both his hands and feet.

His bloated, massive body was shattered, and in some places, even his fungus-covered bones were visible.

"He's not dead even after that? They say Nurgle's vitality is strong. I used to be skeptical, but now I truly believe it."

Tenjiro looked at Ku'gath crawling out and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

Those previous attacks were enough to completely banish other Khorne Greater Daemons, but Ku'gath had withstood them all.

"Go back to the Warp."

The massive Old Thirteen charged over, each step making the ground tremble.

Unimaginable psychic power condensed around his body.

"An Ogryn? With psychic powers?!"

The Handsome guy stopped his charge, his eyes wide.

Ah!

Am I crazy, or is this world crazy?

The Handsome guy was the 48th Grand Master of the Grey Knights, full name Kaldor Draigo, a legendary human.

In the Battle of Kornovin in 901.M41, Mortarion, who appeared in Reality, massacred the Grey Knights.

The Handsome guy witnessed his mentors and predecessors die tragically.

Enraged, he received enlightenment from the Emperor, found Mortarion's true name,

and using that true name, he defeated Mortarion and even carved the name of the former Grand Master onto the Khorne Greater Daemon's chest.

Besides banishing Mortarion, he also exiled M'kar the Reborn; after being dragged into the Warp by a curse from the Khorne Greater Daemon, he always maintained his purity and performed many great feats.

Including but not limited to, breaking into the Brass Citadel, slaughtering countless daemons, piling their heads into a Jingguan, with a Khorne Greater Daemon's head at the very top.

Killing six daemonettes chosen by Slaanesh,

Entering and exiting the Lord of Change's Crystal Fortress seven times,

Setting fire to Nurgle's corrupted garden, and so on.

The Handsome guy considered himself a man who had seen big battles.

Having been in the Reality for so long and in the Warp for so long, what kind of major battle had he not seen?

But an Ogryn simultaneously unleashing psychic power and charging?

Sorry, he had truly never seen that before.

Old Thirteen, like an out-of-control heavy truck, crashed into the injured Ku'gath, knocking him over forcefully.

Ku'gath shrieked in rage; he grabbed Old Thirteen's leg and flung him away.

Old Thirteen spun through the air, crashing through wall after wall, finally breaking a giant pillar before stopping.

Even an Ogryn could not resist Nurgle's plague.

Old Thirteen struggled to get up, but his body disintegrated at a visible rate, turning into a pile of bloody pus.

After staggering a few steps, the massive Ogryn's body crashed down again, completely motionless.

Ku'gath successfully secured a kill,

but his situation was also dire.

As soon as he got up, the Handsome guy leaped up and pierced his body with the sword in his hand.

The power of the accursed flowed into his body through the sword, causing him immense pain. "I'm going to kill you, you little bastard of the Emperor!"

Ku'gath flung the Handsome guy away and then spewed a stream of dark green filth, forcing the Warmaster and other Players back.

"Feel the might of humanity!"

Little Fatty, controlling the First Generation Gundam, burst through the broken building, wielding a power lance.

Before Ku'gath could react, he was impaled by the lance and pinned to the ground.

Subsequently, numerous Imperial heroes swarmed him, hacking him into pieces.

Ku'gath's soul fled back to Father Nurgle's garden, where the daemons who envied him mocked him.

This enraged Ku'gath; he swore that the next time he entered Reality, he would show those guys his power and methods.

With Ku'gath banished, the pressure suddenly fell on Zarakynel.

When fighting the young Fulgrim, she had a slight advantage.

When Saint Celestine joined the battle, she barely held on.

Now with the Handsome guy and Players like the Warmaster charging in, it would be a miracle if she could win.

The moment they swarmed her,

Zarakynel, after all, couldn't fight so many with only three hands; once knocked down, she was brutally beaten.

"I will be back!"

Zarakynel shrieked hysterically before being banished.

"What kind of trash dares to say that?! Do you think you're Grey Wolf King from Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf?"

"Besides, if you dare to enter Reality once, we'll beat you once, until you doubt your life."

Tenjiro's tone was disdainful.

His words made the Players laugh heartily.

The Handsome guy and Celestine didn't understand, but they could feel that the God Chosen were mocking the daemons, so they also started laughing.

Zarakynel felt humiliated; she roared in rage.

However, it changed nothing.

Eventually, her body was shattered, and her soul was banished back to the Warp.

With the leading Khorne Greater Daemon defeated, the remaining daemons did not flee or collapse; instead, they continuously shrieked, aiming to win.

But Eldrad Ulthran and other Craftworld Eldar continuously repaired the rifts, causing these daemons' power to weaken.

Coupled with the strengthening of the Will of Gork and Mork and The Great Devourer, the Chaos Daemons continuously disconnected and were eventually completely banished from the battlefield.

While clearing out daemons and traitors, the Players gained an unexpected trophy.

The STC of Panacea.

The Psyker-enchanted warrior brought to the battlefield by Erebus tried to withdraw with this STC,

but was intercepted by the Players; after killing him, they obtained the trophy.

This STC was stolen by Erebus from the Haemonculi Master, Trax.

He originally intended to use it as bait to lure the Imperium, but because he had to raid the Dark Throne, he entrusted it to his subordinates for safekeeping.

The raid failed, however, and he was brutally beaten by the returning Players.

When he fled in a panic using the Venomblade, for some unknown reason, he couldn't return to his subordinates' side. Ultimately, this STC fell into the Players' hands.

When Tenjiro used his precognitive ability to figure out why the STC of Panacea appeared in the Psyker-enchanted warrior's hands, he was quite surprised.

"Good heavens, could this Erebus be in Chaos but loyal to the Imperium? If not for him, this Panacea wouldn't have returned to our hands."

If Erebus hadn't stolen the STC of Panacea, the Haemonculi would have definitely taken it away. If he had stolen it and immediately sent it away, the Imperium wouldn't have gotten it either.

If he had destroyed it immediately when it was about to be stolen, humanity would have gained nothing.

Coincidentally, Erebus stole it, didn't send it away, and entrusted it to his subordinates for safekeeping.

After the raid on the Dark Throne, he went missing.

Those Psyker-enchanted warriors dared not make decisions on their own.

They could only risk their lives to protect the STC of Panacea, trying to take it away.

Ultimately, these Psyker-enchanted warriors lost their lives, and the STC fell into the Imperium's hands.

After learning the convoluted process of the STC of Panacea becoming an Imperial trophy from Tenjiro, the Warmaster and other Players were also dumbfounded.

"First, Abaddon opened the Great Rift, allowing the Emperor to strengthen his interference with Reality. Then, Kayon traveled thousands of miles to Terra, warning of the Crimson Path, fearing the Imperium wouldn't be prepared. Now, Erebus is sending the STC of Panacea to humanity."

"What curved loyalty? This is curved loyalty. I didn't expect so many people to be carrying the burden for the Imperium from the Chaos side!"

"Everyone in the galaxy is loyal!"

"Let's erect some holy statues for Erebus in the Eye of Terror, stating he is the Emperor's most loyal servant."
