As a seasoned Chaos worshiper, Ahriman had long mastered various methods of sacrificing to the Chaos Gods.
With thousands of years of accumulated professional experience, he could tell at a glance that Commorragh was an excellent altar.
This dark city had enough hatred, enough blood and slaughter.
Countless conspiracies, betrayals, and killings had occurred there.
Despair, pain, hatred, and other dark emotions had already permeated every brick and stone of Commorragh .
With proper guidance, this emotion could be used to create a resonance in the Warp, forming a super-large-scale Aetheric Storm.
Given the current situation where the Great Rift had already opened, the scale of this storm would certainly be no smaller than the devastating storm at the beginning of the Horus Heresy.
At that time, not only would Commorragh be engulfed by the storm, but many planets of the Human Empire would also lose the guidance of the Astronomical Beacon due to this storm, accelerating the speed at which Chaos devoured the universe.
Commorragh had been plagued by demons before.
The psychic fluctuations emitted when Yvraine ascended as the Emissary of Death, and the violent tremors caused by the appearance of the Great Rift, had damaged Commorragh protective barrier, leading to an escalating demonic crisis.
Through his observations of Commorragh and intelligence gathered from demons, Ahriman quickly formulated a detailed plan to cause trouble using Commorragh .
Ahriman focused his breakthrough on the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari's Dark Throne.
It should be known that this object was built to mimic the Golden Throne, and the reason the Emperor sat on the Golden Throne was out of fear that it would lose control, thereby tearing open the Warp and causing Terra to become a demon world.
If the Dark Throne were also activated and then lost control, what happened in Commorragh would certainly be spectacular.
"Humans always think they still have hope, unaware that everything now is merely an illusion of falling into the final abyss."
"From today onwards, I will put an end to this unrealistic fantasy."
Ahriman was aware of the Human Empire's recent series of actions.
Guilliman had launched the Indomitus Crusade to counter the full-scale offensive launched by Abaddon, attempting to suppress the various crises that arose after the Great Rift appeared.
That Saint, who resembled Sanguinius, was carrying out reforms on Terra, rooting out the cancerous growths of corruption and greed, and even bringing forth various uncorrupted technologies, intending to put the Empire back on track.
But Ahriman would turn all of this into an illusion, letting them know that everything they did was in vain.
The massive storm originating from Commorragh would plunge the entire galaxy back into darkness.
By then, the forces of Chaos would completely gain the upper hand.
Ahriman was already eager to see the despair of that Emperor Saint and Guilliman, and even more so, the despair and suffering of humanity after falling into the endless abyss, and the doomsday where the entire galaxy was devoured by Chaos.
Let despair and pain spread throughout the entire universe.
Ahriman felt a burning fighting spirit within him; he was already eager to realize his grand vision.
Ahriman took out a dagger from his Pregnant.
This was a divine artifact he had always treasured, the Dagger of Malice.
It could cut through anything, be it physical or conceptual.
It was derived from the divine artifact that wounded Horus—the Blade of the Arch-Enemy—when it was disassembled.
The Blade of the Arch-Enemy was forged by Cambrak metallurgists using sentient metal.
As long as a specific target was chosen for such a weapon, it would become the target's arch-enemy, possessing deadly power.
The original Blade of the Arch-Enemy did not possess the power to cleave time and space.
However, the Dagger of Malice, which was disassembled from it, could do so, primarily because this sword wounded Horus and contributed to his betrayal.
Just as the spear that wounded Jesus was called the Spear of Destiny, possessing the power to slay gods and demons, the Blade of the Arch-Enemy, which wounded Horus and instigated the Great Heresy, also became a divine artifact.
Ahriman, holding the Dagger of Malice, slashed through the air, cleaving time and space.
A profound crack appeared before him.
"Let's go."
Ahriman stepped in.
The next second, he entered the core area of Commorragh , arriving at the location of the Dark Throne.
Along with him appeared a group of demons and Dark Apostless.
The demons shrieked as they lunged at the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari and slaves who were perfecting the Dark Throne.
The Dark Apostless fired their bone-spiked boltguns at every enemy in sight.
Screams rang out one after another, and in a short while, the entire hall became a bloody hell.
The demons under Ahriman and the accompanying Dark Apostless easily took down the sparsely guarded Dark Throne.
The invasion of the Human Empire had plunged Commorragh into chaos, and the guards who should have been protecting the Dark Throne had all been reassigned.
After all, this was Commorragh ; who would dare to steal or destroy something belonging to the Supreme Overlord Vect?!
The outcome would be miserable, neither living nor dying.
Ahriman ignored the tragic battle scenes and instead focused his attention on the Dark Throne.
Not being able to see the Golden Throne with his own eyes was a small regret in his heart.
During The The Battle of Terra, he was on the verge of breaking into the sanctuary where the Throne Room was located.
But then Horus dropped his void shield and challenged the Emperor to a duel.
The result was that the rebels' efforts were in vain, and they were forced to retreat from the sanctuary.
When Guilliman arrived with reinforcements, the rebels fled in disarray.
Ahriman fled the Sol System with the others.
From beginning to end, he never entered the Throne Room, nor did he ever see the Golden Throne.
The area where the Dark Throne was located was spacious, filled with various complex machines that were wired together, connecting to a massive metal throne.
Ahriman stepped forward and touched the armrest of the Dark Throne.
The desolate image of the Emperor sitting on the Golden Throne appeared in his mind, and an indescribable, inexplicable joy instantly welled up within him.
Ahriman had never forgotten the Emperor's appearance when he first descended upon Colchis.
At that time, the Emperor was so full of vigor and ambition.
Now, he had become a decaying corpse sitting on the Golden Throne.
"The Human Empire is finished. I say, even if the Emperor awakens, he cannot save it."
Ahriman muttered to himself, full of confidence.
As long as he acted, that Saint who looked like Sanguinius, and Guilliman who was trying to save the Empire, wouldn't last much longer.
He turned to look at the demons and Dark Apostless who were slaughtering wildly.
"Collect the bodies, sacrifice them to the Gods, and then we will activate the Dark Throne, presenting a grand gift to humanity and the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari."
As the Human Empire forces and Commorragh Drukhari / Dark Aeldari engaged in brutal ground warfare, vying for control of the city, an unexpected event occurred that neither side's high command could have foreseen.
From deep within Commorragh , where the Dark Throne was located, a terrifying fluctuation suddenly erupted.
This fluctuation, like a dreadful storm, instantly swept across all of Commorragh .
Immediately following, a gigantic Warp rift, bringing despair to the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari, appeared in the skies above Commorragh .
The sheer scale of the rift tore Commorragh in half.
The rift became a transparent window to the Warp, revealing an unobstructed view of the Tzeentchian ocean, mountain-sized spherical giant eyes, terrifying tentacled monsters, and other horrors looming over Commorragh .
This terrifying and blasphemous scene caused the residents of the dark city to let out horrific screams.
The whispers of the Prince of Pleasure echoed in the ears of every Drukhari / Dark Aeldari.
The current situation was akin to directly throwing the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari into the Warp.
With so many delicious Eldar souls, Slaanesh was so excited that he wanted to embrace Ahriman and lavishly favor him.
All of Commorragh descended into chaos.
Many Drukhari / Dark Aeldari souls and flesh melted together, turning entirely into dark and twisted monsters, just like the situation during the Great Imperial Fall.
The Prince of Pleasure was devouring their souls.
Screams of agony were everywhere, only some high towers inscribed with ancient prayers were slightly better off.
But judging by the flickering frequency of those runes, the situation of these high towers was also not optimistic; they wouldn't last much longer.
Vect, sitting in his floating pyramid, stared dumbfounded at the suddenly appearing Warp rift, then despair surged in his heart.
Originally, he thought that by using the extinction weapons in his secret vault, he could still fight against humanity, even making them suffer a great loss.
Now, with the Warp rift open, everything was over; even defeating humanity would be useless, because the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari had no way to close that rift.
"Ahriman, I will never let you go!!!"
Learning about what happened at the Dark Throne from his spies, Vect wished he could dismember Ahriman a thousand times over.
The purpose of building the Dark Throne was originally to save Commorragh .
Now, it had become the last straw that broke Commorragh back.
His Commorragh , which he had painstakingly managed for thousands of years, was thus ruined by that evil seed, Ahriman.
Vect swore that he would never rest until he made Ahriman suffer a fate worse than death.
As the Warp rift opened, countless daemons poured into the Webway.
Their sheer number caused despair among the many factions in Commorragh .
However, the daemon invasion was just the beginning.
As the Aetheric Storm intensified, starships that were originally navigating the Warp were swept into Commorragh by the storm.
The first to enter the battlefield was a massive Ork fleet.
"WAAAGH!"
Deafening roars echoed from the warships, reverberating through every communication channel.
Countless Orks rained down onto the battlefield, then indiscriminately attacked both the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari and Humans.
Immediately after,
a Tyranids fleet, unexpectedly pulled into the Warp, also entered Commorragh , likewise attacking all races indiscriminately.
In addition, there were many Xenos warships, including Tau warships.
This was a fleet intending to travel to a new war zone via the Star Tide Hub.
However, in this terrifying Warp Storm, even the stable Star Tide Hub experienced an anomaly, pushing them into Commorragh .
Inside a sci-fi-styled Guardian-class battleship.
Many Tau senior commanders exchanged bewildered glances, completely unaware of the current situation.
O'Shi, the commander, looked at the projection in front of him with a puzzled expression.
"Where are we?"
"Why are these buildings so evil and dark?"
"Why are there so many races battling on the surface?"
The Tau had fought with many of the races below, but they had never seen such a chaotic battlefield.
Every race was trying to eliminate the other by any means necessary, fighting fiercely.
O'Shi originally wanted the fleet to stay away from the chaotic battlefield, but this battlefield was like a giant maelstrom—once entered, there was no hope of escape.
The Tau fleet quickly found itself unable to control its movements, forced into the war.
Seeing a battlefield that originally only had Humans and Eldar, now mixed with daemons, greenskins, Tau, Tyranids / Tyranid, and various strange Xenos races from across the galaxy,
Vect felt that Commorragh at this moment was like a succubus who, a few days ago, publicly invited passersby for group activities.
Anyone in the Warp could come and enjoy themselves.
How could Commorragh be so fortunate as to have such a grand spectacle?!
"Communicate with all Kabals; they have one day to withdraw their personnel and wealth from Commorragh .
Then, I will detonate those stars."
Vect truly lived up to his reputation as a ruthless individual who climbed to the position of Supreme Overlord of Commorragh step by step.
He was cruel, decisive, and resolute.
Realizing that Commorragh had no hope of salvation, he decisively made the decision to evacuate and planned to detonate all the Black Suns, severely crippling the forces invading Commorragh .
The explosion of the stars would devour all living beings; even daemons would find it difficult to withstand the impact of a stellar explosion.
After activating the Dark Throne, Ahriman did not stop.
He used the Malice Dagger to traverse Commorragh , searching for valuable items,
preparing for his next plan.
Under the guidance of the Gods,
Ahriman arrived at the secret chamber of the Haemonculi Master, Traxes.
This Haemonculi Master was packing his belongings, preparing to flee Commorragh .
Ahriman silently approached and slit his throat with the Malice Dagger, his movements fluid and seamless.
A generation of Haemonculi Masters fell without even knowing who killed him.
"This is the STC module for the Panacea."
Ahriman retrieved a metal cube from the fallen Traxes' hand.
After reading the opponent's memories through a daemon, Ahriman obtained this STC creation from the Human Golden Age.
The Panacea was the pinnacle of human achievement in genetics and medicine during the Golden Age.
It could cure human diseases and all genetic defects, an important creation to ensure the purity of human bloodlines.
However, members of the Adeptus Mechanicus had just dug it up when it was snatched by Vect's former head, Aurelia Malys.
Later, Malys was abandoned by Vect and expelled from the Black Heart Kabal.
This STC creation also fell into the hands of the Haemonculi Traxes.
He used this item to develop a corrupted Panacea.
The corrupted Panacea could make those injected with it almost immune to poisons and toxins, and grant astonishing regenerative abilities.
Ahriman picked it up.
Those God Chosen should like this, after all, this thing can solve many problems for the Human Empire, such as gene-seed mutations or Chaos corruption.
He could use this to set a trap, lure them into his snare, and then capture them all in one fell swoop.
"The current situation in Commorragh is definitely no less intense than the Webway War fought by the Imperial Guard."
"Look at those daemons and Xenos; did those Drukhari / Dark Aeldari in Commorragh provoke Khorne, deceive Tzeentch, offend Nurgle, and force Slaanesh to repent? It was going so well, how did it suddenly turn into an apocalyptic-level battlefield?"
The Players were also completely bewildered.
How did it suddenly turn into such a chaotic brawl?
And with so many daemons and Xenos,
it would be a troublesome task to clear the Webway later.
Which scoundrel caused such a huge rift?
At this moment, a new mission popped up in the Players' database.
[Mission: Capture Ahriman]
[Mission: Capture Commorragh Supreme Overlord—Vect]
[Mission: Capture —.. —.]
"What's with this mission? And who the hell is Ahriman?" Warmaster looked confused.
"It seems we're not the only ones causing trouble." Tenjiro quickly caught the key point, "Ahriman might be in the Webway, and that Warp rift is very likely his handiwork."
"Ahriman is on the battlefield?"
"Where is he?"
"The Human Empire can lose, but Ahriman must die."
"Commorragh can wait, but Ahriman must die now."
The news of Ahriman appearing on the battlefield invigorated the Players.
If you asked these Players a question: "If you only have one bullet left in your bolter, and there's a Kor Phaeron and an Ahriman, who would you shoot?"
The Players' answer would definitely be,
"Pray to the Machine Spirit to steal bullets from the Warp, and use all the bullets on Ahriman."
"If the Machine Spirit refuses to steal, first shoot Ahriman, then use the bolter to knock out Kor Phaeron, and pick him up to bash Ahriman."
It must be said, Ahriman is truly a hateful person.
No matter which faction's miniatures a Warhammer player buys, the thing they want most to do is beat Ahriman.
"Kill! Kill! Kill! Hack! Hack! Hack!"
Wrist Bro ignored the sudden turn of events; he continued to swing his chain-axe, slaughtering indiscriminately.
He killed Tyranids / Tyranid when he saw them, daemons when he saw them, and greenskins when he saw them.
"Indeed, a good prospect."
Watching the Wrist Bro hack away madly, becoming happier with each swing, Khorne grew even more satisfied.
But then he remembered that the other party had said he would rather sell hooks to the Prince of Pleasure than to him, and had called him an uncultured brute.
Of course, he didn't want this guy's hooks; he was simply annoyed.
Thinking of this, Khorne looked towards Slaanesh's domain, and on the chaotic battlefield, Khorne's daemon army suddenly changed direction to attack Slaanesh's daemon army.
Tzeentch also took the opportunity to strike Nurgle, and the daemon armies, which should have first dealt with Humans and Eldar, began to fight among themselves,
killing each other mercilessly.
"That's a Warhammer specialty."
Warmaster and other Players watched the self-slaughtering daemon army, clicking their tongues.
They also quickly joined the chaotic battlefield. Regardless, this war had to be fought.
On Terra's side,
Alex learned from Cortana that Ahriman was causing trouble when the rift appeared above Commorragh .
He immediately had Cortana issue a mission for the Players to capture Ahriman and the Supreme Overlord Vect.
"The Chaos Gods are paying too much attention to us; they interfere no matter what we do."
"Originally, it was just a regular campaign to annihilate Commorragh , but now it has turned into an apocalyptic-level war."
"Send messages to the Minister of the Interior and the Imperial Guard Commander, telling them to temporarily handle government affairs in my stead. I need to personally enter the Webway."
"Oh, and tell Senior General Tura that if the Human Empire has any issues when I return, he can take off his armor and go guard a pond."
