Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 : Game experience summary

Zorion moved the mouse and opened the chat group.

The Players who had just died in battle were constantly spamming the group, attracting other group members who hadn't entered the game yet.

'Warhammer Most Courageous Bro': "This Warhammer OL is truly amazing, it instantly kills all other games on the market."

'Crazy Kisses Nurgle's Chubby Face': "It's more than an instant kill; it's not even from the same era."

Blue Two-Headed Bird! Loyalty: "I thought I had died, it was so immersive. Watching my comrades fight desperately only to be overwhelmed by the enemy, that feeling of powerlessness, my mind was filled with only one thought: to die with the enemy."

Guilliman is the Only Sun: "You guys are already playing?"

Midnight Lord Asks If Your Scalp Is Itchy: "It's infuriating, my plasma gun was just charged, and that Smart-Head killed me."

I Don't Want to Be a Stinky Can: "No, you guys are really playing??"

Sky Braid is a Symbol of the Strong: "Is it real or fake? Is there really a game like this?"

'Crazy Kisses Nurgle's Chubby Face': "Not only am I playing, I've already been killed. That Smart-Head clubbed me to death."

Lost Krieg: "No pictures, what are you talking about!!!"

A Bowl of A Bowl of Lobster Soup: "No pictures, what are you talking about!!!"

Dora is the True Lord of Myriad Machines: "No pictures, clearly fake, just a scam to fleece people."

'Crazy Kisses Nurgle's Chubby Face': "@Corporate Slave Captured by the Emperor, Group Owner, please say something, or provide some screenshots as proof. People are calling us scammers who are just fleecing others."

Alex, who was checking the Tactical Projection, suddenly saw the chat group interface pop up in front of him.

"So the ability to connect to the Holy Terra (Earth/Reality) network is bound to me, not the control console."

Alex was a bit slow to realize this.

He had always thought the Strategic Room's control console was special.

Turns out, he was the special one.

Alex looked back and saw that the Players resting behind him hadn't noticed the pop-up chat group interface.

"It should be that only I can see it."

Alex shrugged and began to reply to the chat group messages.

Corporate Slave Captured by the Emperor: "OK, here's some video."

Alex obtained monitoring access to the path from the Strategic Room to the Tactical Projection Hall.

He clipped several segments of the surveillance footage and uploaded them to the group.

The picture quality was a bit blurry, but the Players' faces could be seen clearly, and their conversations could be heard.

The video clips were all exciting moments.

Especially the segment where the Players battled the Chaos Ogryn; it was uploaded in its entirety, not a single frame omitted.

As the video was sent, the group fell silent.

All the previous doubts vanished.

"Is this a game? Isn't it a movie? It's too real, isn't it?"

"This blood, these dismembered bodies, it must be R-rated, right?"

"It's so exciting to watch."

"Who was that guy, rushing towards the Chaos Ogryn with a meltabomb, yelling 'For the Emperor!'? That was so much more thrilling."

Blue Two-Headed Bird! Loyalty: "That was me. The immersion in this game is too good. At that moment, I forgot it was a game. Don't laugh, everyone."

"Awesome, it makes my blood boil just watching it."

"Oh my God, dreams come true!!!"

"Which boy hasn't fantasized about being in a desperate situation, then bravely sacrificing himself for victory? This is my dream game! Give me an appointment slot immediately, or I'll report it to Terra."

"Fake, it must be fake, I don't believe it, unless you give me an appointment slot."

"It looks so explosive."

"Give me a game slot, I am the Emperor's person in life, and the Emperor's dead person in death."

"Emperor: Sorry, I'm a cold-hearted scumbag, you're just my currency."

"Calling the Inquisition, requesting an Exterminatus for the person upstairs."

"Group owner, when will new appointment slots be released? The Regent needs to return to his loyal Empire."

A Bowl of A Bowl of Lobster Soup: "As a tabletop gamer who owns the entire Astra Militarum army in Warhammer 40k, a glorious Imperial currency, if you don't let me play this game, Group Owner, you are disloyal."

Corporate Slave Captured by the Emperor: "Don't worry, everyone, I'll ask the boss later to see when new slots will be released. I have something else to do, I'll be busy for now. You all chat."

"Dark and twisted crawling, I need to enter the game, I need to enter the game."

"Although I haven't played yet, I seem to have already developed withdrawal symptoms. Let me play the game quickly."

One Night Output Slaanesh Ten Times: "The appointment slots won't be available for a while, so how about I share my experience with you first?"

'Warhammer Most Courageous Bro': "Agreed."

"Agreed +1."

"Agreed +1."

One Night Output Slaanesh Ten Times: "@Corporate Slave Captured by the Emperor, can you help mute the chat? I type slowly, and if I'm constantly interrupted, it's easy to make mistakes."

Alex glanced at the group messages and casually enabled mute.

He also promoted "One Night Output Slaanesh Ten Times" to administrator.

One Night Output Slaanesh Ten Times: "Thank you for the Group Owner's trust. I will be a good administrator. Now I'll tell you some information about Warhammer OL, so you can quickly get started when you enter the game."

"Let's start with the background. The background of Warhammer OL should be in the End Times after the Thirteenth Black Crusade, which means Cadia Fortress has fallen, the Eye of Terror has expanded, the entire galaxy has been torn apart, and the Human Empire has been split in two."

"Players' birthplace is a moon-class battleship called Imperial Glory, and their identity is the Emperor's Chosen, so we can revive at the shrine and improve our strength."

"Honestly, this design is great. It perfectly reflects that the Emperor is the Fifth Chaos God and we are His demonic pawns (dog head for protection). As for the Emperor's domain, it is naturally the entire Empire."

"At this stage, our mission is to reclaim the Imperial Glory, this moon-class battleship contaminated by Chaos evil forces. Our leading NPC is the Emperor's Living Saint, he calls himself the Guide, his intelligence level is very high, and he also has GM privileges."

"The game world is extremely realistic. Whether it's the light and shadow effects or the five-sense interaction, everything is perfectly at 100%, with no bugs or flaws, giving a feeling of being in a real world."

"As for freedom, it can be said to be a 100% sandbox RPG game. You can do anything you want, like Little Fatty carrying heavy weapons to kill monsters, or like Old Bird, strapping meltabombs and launching suicide attacks."

"The missions in this game might all be one-time, because I noticed one thing: things changed and consumed by Players will not refresh or reset, and even the enemies are like this. Once they die, they are truly dead; they won't respawn like in other games."

"This means that most monsters and NPCs might be one-time. Once killed, they are truly gone."

"The Group Owner said we can experience professions like Astartes, Knights, and Adeptus Mechanicus. These professions definitely cannot be satisfied on a single ship, which means the map will be at least as large as a star system, or even a star sector."

"In the future, farming gameplay might also be developed, such as serving as a planetary governor to develop planets, or becoming an Adeptus Mechanicus to improve technology."

"As for the pain sensation, it seems to be limited. The moment I died, it felt about as painful as stubbing my toe. It hurt a lot, but it was tolerable."

"..."

One Night Output Slaanesh Ten Times wrote thousands of words in a sprawling manner.

He comprehensively analyzed the various possible gameplay styles of Warhammer OL, making the group members even more excited.

In front of the screen, Zorion, who had finished writing his summary, let out a sigh of relief.

Then, he lifted the group mute.

The group messages instantly flooded the screen.

"This game is 666."

"Damn, the withdrawal symptoms are even stronger now."

"I want to play Warhammer OL, I want to be an Adeptus Mechanicus, I want to accumulate resources, I want to build a Judgment Colossus, I want to build a Halo, I want to build a Dyson Sphere."

"Quickly let me become the Emperor's currency."

"Divine machines arrayed, burning the galaxy! Noble Knights are the protagonists of the battlefield."

"Quick, I can't take it anymore. I urgently need a Warhammer OL appointment slot to save me."

"..."

Alex glanced at the constantly flashing chat group icon.

Many people were also trying to add him as a friend, hoping to get a beta test qualification through personal connections.

He ignored them and instead checked the gains from the previous battle.
