Who knew that Monday would come by so quickly...things in this town are really strange...and every single day that goes by, I always keep doing strange things too...things that no human can be capable of.
Who knew werewolves exist, and I bet, Josh isn't the only one of his kind....there must be multiple werewolves in this town.
Even at Sunntown High, my new school, but doesn't Hayley go to that same school?
Could she also know about their existence?
My new uniforms had also arrived already from the school, it was a white shirt,light blue skirt... medium in length, stopping right above my knees,accompanied by a dark blue blazer with the Sunntown High badge, a bow tie....short white socks that exposed my slender legs and white shoes.
My first time to dress in such a uniform, when was the last time I even wore one...with a new bag.
I walked out of my room, passing by Hayley's room....and I could still remember what happened yesterday, how I controlled her mind.
How was I able to do that?
I had so many questions, but who was going to give me their answers?
I went downstairs afterwards,and instead of my stepdad, I found Drey, Hayley's boyfriend. I could still remember him after the short time we met.
He was in Sunntown High's uniform too, I should have know he went to the same school with Hayley...he was probably waiting for her.
If I remember correctly, he's a jerk.
"Oh, you're here"he said after he saw me...but I just ignored him and tried to go to the kitchen, but he stood in my way.
"Where are you going? We aren't done talking"he said.
"Seriously! What do you want from me?" His face just irritated me more.
"You must be going to Sunntown High, let me give you a ride in my car"he replied.
"No thank you" I simply said.
Did he want to get me into more trouble?
"Come on, why play hard to get...you're such a pretty girl...you might get into some kind of trouble on your way there, you don't know this place well...."he replied but I cut him off.
"I'd rather get into trouble than ride with you or your girlfriend...now please leave me alone" I said before walking away from him.
What the hell did he think of me?
From the way he behaves, I'm sure that he cheats on Hayley...but who am I to ruin her perfect relationship? Might as well just mind my own business.
I grabbed a quick breakfast, a sandwich and some juice...then headed out...leaving Drey and Hayley alone in the house.
Then I remembered, I didn't know where Sunntown High was, I should have just swallowed my pride and agreed to ride with Drey and Hayley, but that's pretty useless now.
Finding my way to school was the hardest thing...it took me about forty five minutes just to get there while walking... after asking multiple people who helped me with directions.
I was sure that Drey and Hayley had already got there...after all,they used a car and they already knew where the school was.
I was nervous, shaking to the core the moment I got thought the doors. All eyes were on me, I was so uncomfortable....I couldn't do anything to stop them, from staring.
Knowing what comes with a new school.....new trouble, new drama, new bullies! Something about this school wasn't right....I could just feel it.
I somehow managed to reach the principal's office. I slowly opened the door and it led me to a smiling face... belonging to a woman in about her late forties.
"You must be Skylar Carter, I was waiting for you,please take a seat" she said, pointing at the seat right in front of her desk.
"Yes it's me, I'm Skylar" I replied as I sat down.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Skylar, I'm Principal Olivia...you're right on time, here's your class schedule" she said as she handed it to me.
"Welcome to Sunntown High, but be warned Skylar.... don't mess with anyone if you want to enjoy your studies here.... especiall...the Midnight Circle"she continued to say.
I swear, I could feel the uneasiness.... what did she mean by the Midnight Circle?
I quickly stood up and left her office... looking for Classroom 5.
I slowly walked down the hall, carefully observing the walls....the one which could have the word class 5.
"Well, well, well...it looks like we have ourselves a new human in school girls" a group of three girls approached me.
The one in the middle seemed to be the obvious leader of the group.
What did they mean by new human?
"Kate, Mira....what do you say, should we give her a warm welcome?" The one in the middle continued to say, staring at me.
"Please just leave me alone...I don't want any trouble" I pleaded with them.
At this point, everyone present in the hallway had their eyes on us.
"Look at that Zoey, she's pleading with us!" the Kate girl replied.
"We're just doing what the Alpha told us to whenever we get a new human in school...." Zoey said.
There's that word again, human...and now Alpha?
Before I could do anything else, Zoey and her friends slammed me to the lockers, dragging me all the way down the hall.
They were obviously bullies and I think they were part of the Midnight Circle that Principal Olivia was talking about.
"Please let me go! I won't ever come in front of you!" I desperately wanted to get away.
I was tired of being abused, not only at home..... but my new school too!!
"You humans are weak, you can't even fight back!"Zoey snapped at me.
Wasn't she a human too? Weren't they all humans like me?
Zoey slapped me twice in the face, unlike my stepdad's slaps, hers were even harder...that I fell to the ground immediately and felt my mouth bleeding.
Somebody...please help me! Please...
All I could do again was cry for help silently, maybe Josh would come to my rescue again...but who was I fooling.
My body lay on the floor, I couldn't even get up...while I watched the trio laugh at me.....no one in the hall bothered to help me, they were scared of them.
I had lost all hope, and wanted to give up.....but suddenly, the atmosphere changed.
"Stop!!" An unfamiliar voice echoed through the hall.
A mere voice held so much aura.... everyone else in the hall seemed more afraid than before.
I turned my head to where the voice came from...a stranger yet familiar. My gaze met with his, and those same glowing hazel eyes I saw once....and couldn't stop thinking about, were now staring right back at me.
He rushed towards me....and helped me get up on my feet.
"Are you okay?"he asked and I just nodded a no.
I was speechless.
This had never happened to me before, for the first time..... someone was there to help me get up when I fell to the floor.
With his touch, I felt so many things I couldn't explain....what was this? Love at first sight?
"What are you doing? Bullying a new girl in school!....what the hell gives you the right to treat her that way!" His voice was filled with anger speaking to the Zoey and her friends.
"Joshua, she's just another mere weakling, you don't have to overreact yet we do this to every new comer" Zoey replied.
"Have you forgotten who you're speaking to!" He snapped at her and I swear I saw his eyes go red for a second or two.
"I'm sorry Alpha, it won't happen again, the girls and I will go ahead"Zoey replied, bowing her head....with utmost respect.
"You better leave before I lose my patience" He said before they quickly walked away.
"You don't have to be scared, I won't let them hurt you again" he leaned in closer while talking to me.
He was tall, and even in that uniform...his muscles could clearly show... just perfect.
"T..thank you" I finally said something... noticing how his face was so close to mine.
"It's okay, I'm Joshua by the way... and you must be Skylar" he replied.
How did he know my name?
"I heard about you from Principal Olivia...." It was like he could read my mind.
"You're bleeding, keep this with you" He handed me his handkerchief...full of his nice scent.
"Thank you, but I'll return it to you clean, just like you've given it to me" I said.
"Skylar, you can keep it...I have plenty of those" again he spoke with his face inches away from mine.
My body generated a heat like never before, every single time he came close or even touched me.....my heart beating louder as if we shared some kind of unexplainable bond.
Especially while staring in those hazel eyes of his....I felt safe in his presence, I could also feel his deep concern he had for me.
Even though I just met him, I could tell he was a good person....and wouldn't do anything to hurt me...but he also seemed too familiar.
"Josh..ua, have we met before?" I was curious.
Was it just a coincidence that he also had the same glowing hazel eyes as that wlf Josh....and Zoey, she called him Alpha, isn't that what werewolves address their leaders as.
An alpha
His name was also close to his....Josh ...then Joshua!
Was he the werewolf? Was he Josh?
"We met, just now Skylar" he replied.
Maybe I was wrong about it....maybe I was just thinking too much about it.
That same moment, the school bell rang..it was time for class.
How could I tell him that I didn't know where my class was?
"Come on, I'll walk you to your class" he was definitely reading my mind.
"You don't have to, I can find my own way" I said, turning to walk in the opposite direction...
I refuse to be a center of attraction while walking with him, girls were giving me that envious look, like I was stealing their source of happiness.
Including Zoey, standing by the stairs, giving me a deadly look....
But who knew that was too good to be true.
He grabbed my hand and stopped me from walking away.
"That direction leads to the exit...class is this way" he said, turning me to face back to his side.
"It's really okay, you don't have to" I desperately tried to remove my hand from his, but it was pointless.
His grip was as strong as steel, he didn't even flinch.
"Are you always this nervous Skylar, let me tell you..... I don't take no for an answer" he said, before dragging me all the way through the hall.
He was had a persistent attitude, and I like that he wasn't willing to give up on me.
Deep down,I liked it and I let him take me to class.
He could be a friend I could rely on.... whenever I needed help.

Zoey stared at Joshua holding Skylar's hand while walking her to her class.
She felt anger, she was so furious!
Just a few days back, she thought after Joshua was initiated as the Alpha of their pack...he would see her as his mate.
She liked Joshua, she was his close friend...and just like him she despised humans, they killed her parents too....but here he was, being all friendly and concerned for a human girl.
Protecting her like she was his mate.
She vowed to make Skylar's life miserable until she she decided to leave Sunnwood High, even if it would cost her a lot...as long as she didn't take Joshua away from her..
No matter what she had to do.
