After a very long day at work, Clara felt so tired that she decided to join the free bus specially for workers of the restaurant. After much waiting, the bus decided to move. Besides Clara was Bryan who couldn't stop talking about everything that played at work.
"Clara you needed to see how the female workers were swooning over Master Alexandro's son. Honestly, the guy is like... perfect right?" Bryan said his voice tinged with admiration
"Oh, please, Bryan. No mortal is beyond perfection" Clara said
"Clara, I know, but that man is an exception" Bryan said with admiration in his eyes
Clara raised an eyebrow teasing him
"Bryan, I hope you aren't gay; otherwise, it would be a waste of that face of yours"
"Of course not. If I were, I wouldn't have approached a beauty like you" Bryan said in a hoarse voice
Clara couldn't help but giggle, shaking her head.
"You can stop with the flatter now Bryan"
"And who said I'm flattering you?? With all honesty, Clara you're the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on"
"Driver this is my bus stop" Clara exclaimed
"Bryan see you tomorrow at work" And with that, she alighted the bus.
She trekked down to her house because the bus stop was a bit far from the house. She deliberately chose to drop farther from her house. She didn't want Bryan to know where she lived
"Look who we have here!!! So, how was your first day" Natasha pryed like someone looking so a juicy gossip
"You can't even serve me food before you ask for gossip. I have to go freshen up before we talk" Clara said looking so exhausted
"I'll will be waiting downstairs. By the way, I made lasagna," Natasha called out, her voice chipper.
"Perfect! I'll be down in a second," Clara yelled from her room, her stomach already growling at the thought of dinner
After she was done freshening up, she went down stairs to have her dinner. Natasha was already patiently waiting for her.
"Finally, here you are" she said with glee
Clara didn't answer her, she just went straight to her plate of lasagna because she was already famished.
"Yum...it taste so good"
"This is the only thing you're good at aside prying for juicy gossips" Clara said while munching the food
"Say whatever you want that's your business, all I want is for you to tell me how your first day at work was"
Clara couldn't resist her pouting lips, so she decided to spill everything that happened at work right from the moment Bryan approached her to the point where she alighted the bus
"Clara, you really have a knack for bringing drama into your life," Natasha teased, a playful smirk on her face.
"What are you taking about?" Clara asked raising an eyebrow. She wasn't in the mood for anymore teasing
"See, Clara, you just started work and you already have an admirer Bryan! and you've met Mitchell again. Isn't that fate working for you both??"
"And is that the drama? Natasha, it was just a coincidence and has nothing to do with fate, so please don't keep pushing that false narrative in your head"
"Okay, Clara, if you say so. But what about your foolish friend who didn't even recognize you"
Natasha had never liked Ashley but she never dared to voice it out knowing how close he is to Clara.
"Yeah that's right I will call him later on to give him a piece of my mind. He's foolish for not being able to recognize my voice at least"
"Alright then Mrs Mitchell I have to go sleep now. Remember, punctuality is key" Natasha said with a wink
"Excuse me... what did you call me just now?" Clara was already fuming with anger
Natasha immediately ran out of Clara's reach to avoid her wrath.
"What a naughty girl" Clara mumbled to herself
She sat all by herself in the living room remembering the words that Natasha said to her
"Isn't that fate working for you both" the voice kept playing in her head
"No... it was just a coincidence nothing more"
Clara decided to call Ashley. It didn't take too long before he picked the call
Clara gave him an ear full. He didn't even have a chance to defend himself
"Clara what are you talking about, you never told me you got a job at Savron restaurant" Ashley was utterly confused
"Ashley, that's not an excuse for not recognizing your best friend. Or wait, is this a one sided friendship?"
At that point, she felt like throwing blows at him. But luckily for him, he wasn't present there.
"Clara I'm sorry. But you know this is partly your fault for not telling me" Ashley tried to defend himself
After a long session of bickering, Clara finally forgave him.
"Ashley goodnight and sweet dreams"
"You too my lovely beautiful friend"
Ashley's villa;
After he ended the call with Clara, he dialed another number.
"Come over to my place, it's urgent"
Ashley patiently waited for the person he called to arrive. After a long time of waiting, he finally heard a knock at the door.
"Come in Brooke"
"Ashley what's the matter? It's past eleven" Brooke asked curiously
"Brooke remember when you told me to ask for a favour and you will grant it?"
"Yes I remember but last time I checked, you didn't ask for anything so..."
"Brooke I want to ask for something now"
Brooke was a bit terrified because of the look on Ashley's face; he had never seen it before. The Ashley he knew was a calm and peaceful man, but the person he was seeing tonight looked like an angry god of war, burning from within.
"Alright then what is it Ashley"
Ashley began to speak
"Remember Clara my childhood friend that I have always been in love with, Mitchell, my boss's son is slowly stealing her away from me and I can't let that happen"
"So what do you plan on doing"
"Brooke I have been working side by side with the CEO for seven years, and I'm acquainted with past secrets, Before Clara's parents died, her father was about to seal a deal with another company after refusing CEO Alexandro's offer. Few days later, he died in a ghastly car accident with his wife.
Now this is the plan. I intend to instigate a situation that makes it look like the CEO planned her parents' death, and so she will come to hate the entire family. Then, I will step in and brainwash her into seeking revenge. In the process, she might get caught which will make the entire family especially Alexandro despise her"
Brooke was left speechless. He had never expected the seemingly innocent Ashley to think this way
"Ashley, don't you think your plan is overboard" Brooke was a bit nervous
"Brooke, there's no such thing as 'overboard' when it comes to love," Ashley said coldly. "I need you to fabricate the papers and voice recordings I'll use to set everything in motion"
"And you plan on showing her yours

Brooke asked, his voice cautious
"No, I'm not that foolish. Don't worry about it; I have my ways"
