Chapter 21 - Chapter 20

Alexander tugged gently at Frigga's sleeve.

"Mother," he asked, molten-gold eyes hopeful, "can we walk around Asgard today?"

Frigga smiled warmly.

"Yes," she said, then added, "but you will go with guards."

Alexander's face fell instantly.

He pouted.

Just a little.

Frigga laughed softly and reached down, pinching his cheeks.

"Oh, don't make that face," she teased. "You know I worry."

Alexander sighed, then nodded. "Okay…"

She kissed his forehead, still smiling.

A Child Among the City

Asgard was beautiful.

Golden towers.

Bridges of light.

Voices, laughter, life.

Alexander walked calmly beside the guards, hands behind his back, observing everything with quiet curiosity.

That was when they noticed him.

Two women stood near a balcony.

One with deep red hair, eyes sharp and calculating.

The other blonde, radiant and confident.

Both froze when they saw him.

Platinum-silver hair.

Molten-gold eyes with a silver ring.

"…He's adorable," the blonde whispered.

"And handsome," the red-haired one added softly.

They exchanged a glance.

"…Let's try," Amora murmured.

A Failed Enchantment

A subtle pulse of enchantment magic flowed outward.

Not toward Alexander—

But toward the guards.

Their expressions softened instantly.

Then—

They collapsed.

Unconscious.

Alexander stopped walking.

Looked down.

"…That's not good."

Raphael, Lord of Wisdom:

Alert.

Source of enchantment identified.

Two female entities. Asgardian. Known enchantresses.

Raphael highlighted them clearly in Alexander's vision.

Alexander looked up calmly.

"You," he said, pointing. "Why did you do that?"

Both women stiffened.

"…You can see us?" Lorelei asked.

"Yes," Alexander replied simply.

The Truth

Amora sighed and stepped forward, raising her hands.

"We didn't mean harm," she said. "We only wished to speak to you."

Lorelei nodded. "People never listen to us unless we use magic. They only see… our appearance."

Alexander tilted his head.

"So you used magic to make them listen?"

"…Yes," Amora admitted quietly.

They both turned away.

"We should go."

An Unexpected Invitation

"Why?" Alexander asked.

They paused.

"Because we shouldn't have done that," Lorelei said softly.

Alexander thought for a moment.

Then smiled.

"…I want to be friends."

Both women froze.

"…What?" Amora whispered.

"I like talking," Alexander said honestly. "Friends talk."

They stared at him.

Then—

Smiled.

Genuinely.

Names and Secrets

"My name is Amora," the blonde said.

"And I'm Lorelei," the red-haired woman added.

Alexander nodded. "Alexander Ashborn Odinson."

Silence.

Both women paled.

"…Odinson?" Amora repeated.

Sweat appeared instantly.

"We—we enchanted guards of the royal family—"

Alexander blinked. "Why are you scared?"

They told him.

Alexander listened carefully.

Then said quietly—

"This will be our secret."

They nodded immediately.

A Day Well Spent

They showed Alexander places he'd never seen:

Quiet gardens.

Hidden balconies.

Markets filled with color and sound.

They talked.

They laughed.

For once, Amora and Lorelei weren't feared—or desired.

Just… listened to.

As the sun dipped low, Alexander smiled.

"I have to go now."

They knelt to his height.

"Thank you," Lorelei said softly.

"Yes," Amora added. "For seeing us."

Alexander waved and ran off.

A Mother's Worry

The moment Alexander entered the palace—

"ALEXANDER!"

He froze.

Shivered.

"…I'm sorry, Mother."

Frigga rushed to him, kneeling and holding his shoulders.

"Where did you go?" she demanded—then softened. "You worried me."

Alexander told her everything.

About Amora.

Lorelei.

The enchantment.

The friendship.

Frigga listened.

Silent.

Then—

She exhaled.

"…You escaped two master enchantresses," she said slowly.

Alexander nodded. "They were nice."

Frigga hugged him tightly.

"I am very proud of you," she whispered.

A Queen's Private Thought

Later, alone, Frigga sat quietly.

"…So early," she murmured.

Then smiled to herself.

One day, she thought fondly,

I may have many grandchildren to dote on.
