Chapter 65 - Chapter 62

When Jealousy Learns to Shout

The aftermath of Hufflepuff's letter shook the castle more than anyone expected.

Ravenclaws whispered that they should've joined.

Slytherins scoffed—then quietly wondered if it had been smart.

And Gryffindor?

Gryffindor felt left out.

😈 The Twins Complain (Lightly)

Fred and George cornered Lucien near a staircase.

"Oi," Fred said, mock-offended.

"Leading a rebellion without us?"

George nodded gravely.

"That hurts, Lionhardt. Truly."

Lucien sighed, rubbing his temple.

"Next time," he said calmly, "I'll call you first."

The twins exchanged a look.

"Acceptable," they said together.

And wandered off happily, already planning something far worse.

🦁 Ron's Brilliant Idea™

That night in the Gryffindor dormitory—

Ron Weasley stood on a bed.

"Hufflepuff wrote complaints!" he declared loudly.

"They stood up to Quirrell!"

Some students nodded.

"And we," Ron continued, puffing up,

"have Snape!"

Groans followed.

"He always deducts points!" Ron said.

"So why don't we write complaints too?"

A pause.

Then—

A few nods.

Then more.

Then applause.

Someone should have stopped him.

No one did.

🗿 The Gargoyle Suffers Again

The next morning—

Ron marched at the front of a group of Gryffindors, chest puffed out like a general.

They reached the third floor.

The gargoyle groaned as it saw them.

"…Not again."

Ron grinned.

"We're submitting complaints."

The gargoyle opened its mouth.

And once again—

Letters poured in.

It bloated.

Its stone eyes twitched.

"…I'm requesting a transfer," it muttered.

⚖️ Summons to the Office

The very same day—

Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape were summoned.

They entered the Headmaster's office.

They did not leave in good spirits.

When the door opened—

Snape stormed out first, robes snapping, face dark.

McGonagall followed, pale.

Very pale.

So pale she looked like she wanted to crawl into the nearest suit of armor and live there forever.

"Minerva," Snape said coldly, pausing,

"control your students."

McGonagall swallowed.

"At least," she snapped back weakly,

"control your temper around them."

Snape didn't even slow down.

🦁 Consequences

That evening, McGonagall stood in the Great Hall.

Her voice was tight.

"For abusing the complaint process," she announced,

"and for filing frivolous accusations without cause—"

"—Gryffindor will lose one hundred points."

The Hall went silent.

Then—

An eruption.

Gryffindors turned.

Slowly.

Dangerously.

Toward Ron.

"What do you mean, your idea?"

"You said it would work!"

"Thanks a lot, Weasley!"

Ron shrank.

For once—

No bragging.

No story.

Just silence.

🦡 Elsewhere

At the Hufflepuff table, Cedric leaned toward Lucien.

"…Did we just start a movement?"

Lucien sipped his drink calmly.

"I warned them," he replied.

"Intent matters."

Akeno smiled softly.

Susan nodded.

And somewhere—

The gargoyle sighed, very, very deeply.
