Synopsis
Some souls are born carrying echoes of another world. Raya has always felt like she is running out of time—haunted by dreams she can’t explain, memories that don’t feel like her own, and a presence that watches from the shadows of her life. As her world begins to fracture between reality and the unseen, she discovers that not all guardians are angels… and not all protectors come with mercy. Azriel was never meant to care. Bound by ancient laws and a past soaked in silence, he exists between vengeance and duty. But when Raya’s fate begins to unravel, their lives collide in ways neither of them can escape. As secrets surface, loyalties blur, and the line between protection and destruction fades, Raya must confront the truth about who she is—and what her existence could cost the world. Because some goodbyes are written long before they are spoken. And some endings are only the beginning.

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE: Kissed By Life Claimed by Death

Death was the last option, she couldn't think of anything else. She wouldn't end her life with her own hands she had to die of a natural cause, so all she could do was repent and pray to Him that he forgives her. Raya was born to a family that "loved" her. After changing schools she was bullied ranging from setups, framing even slut shaming, but what more could she do than hope to meet Him and pray that Death claims her for life had tried and look where it got her, happiness can never be an option for her neither will it be a dream, all she wants is DEATH. The darkness she's had ever since she was a child was growing and it has started affecting her; constant itching of veins, voices telling her she doesn't belong in the world of the living.

"Ammi don't do that. I'm fine!" Raya said to her Ammi. "How can you be fine? Look at you. This isn't how i imagined it would turn out." Asha, Raya's Ammi sobbed. Days passed and Raya's condition worsened, everyone came to check on her. All praying and hoping she'd heal quickly, even friends and family came. Resting in her room and she was hearing voices' not visitors again' she thought. "Raya!!! Come down someone's here to say hi" Asha called. The family of her beloved had come to check on her, they all showed concern and worry for her condition. She had a conversation with Kareem and Faheema, his cousins, but she hadn't spoken to Aaqib, her beloved, yet. "Hey, how are you doing?" he asked with a lot of concern in his eyes. "Hi," she replied bluntly, "look, I think you should tell them they deserve to know what you know. Don't punish them like this," he explained to her. "We have to breakup, since I'm going to meet Him, I shouldn't be caught disobeying any of his orders, it doesn't speak well for me. Now does it?" she said while trying to keep a straight face. "What do you mean by you are breaking up with me, you don't have to do that I could marry you, so you won't have break any of his rule, please. Or do you want me to tell them the truth? Huh should I tell them that you know there's no hope for you" he tried to convince and threaten her at the same time. "Come on' Go! Tell them" She said while shoving him, "Tell them that their daughter is dying that they would never see her again, huh why don't you get it? I am protecting you and them. I don't want y'all to remember me with my sick days but the ones, please don't do this to yourself, I beg of you. You will only be hurt in the end please" she added and walked away holding the tears back at bay.

"Dr Farhan says she needs to be happy and that happiness might help her brain relax. I am trying my best to help her, but she's keeping to herself. I honestly don't know what to do," Asha explained to Mr. and Mrs. Tauzin, Aaqib's family. "I think I can help her, maybe," Aaqib interrupted, "And why should I trust you with my daughter, and what can you do? When we as her family, can't help her," Zayn, Raya's father scolded with anger in his eyes and written all over his face. "Abba, hear him out, he has a point, they are in the same age range, he's most likely to know what would help her." Zayden, Raya's older brother, intervened half-saving Aaqib and half-calming his father's temper. "Let him do it, but you have to try your best and don't give up on her," Asha finally concluded. "WHAT? You believe he can do it? oh well you can try your luck".
