Okay, you want to know what I've seen. From the beginning?
[Officer nods]
"Fine. So, I was in class. History. Last period was starting in ten minutes, and I really didn't feel like it. Not because I was skipping school or anything—I had to work. Well, I had to work at four, but I wanted to..."
I'm in the class before the last period; history class starts in ten minutes. I really don't feel like it. That man just keeps talking! Besides, I have to work this afternoon. It's not until four o'clock, but I'd like to get some lunch, and a sandwich from the shop around the corner would be perfect.
During class change, I grab my things and slip away. If I stop by my locker to exchange some books for tomorrow and then grab my coat, I'll have plenty of time to grab a sandwich before I have to go to work. As I walk down the hallway, it's quiet; most students are still in class, just like I would be. Some classes are already finished, but they've gone straight home. I savor the emptiness and the peace for a moment, knowing that I really should be listening to that boring guy.
I pause briefly at my locker to put away my math books and put my English book in my bag. Then I grab my coat when I hear a door slam in the distance. I glance back briefly before turning back toward the exit.
