⟐ WHAT IS STORYWEAVE?
Storyweave is the latent ability to perceive and manipulate the hidden narrative threads that bind reality together.
Everything in existence follows a story. Cause and effect. Fate. Memory. Identity. Probability.
Those who awaken Storyweave can touch these invisible threads and rewrite small fragments of reality, bending events as if editing a living manuscript.
However, the weave resists forceful edits. Push too far and the story pushes back.
Only a small fraction of humans ever awaken it, usually through emotional trauma, near-death moments, or intense desire.
⟐ COLOR HIERARCHY
Storyweave manifests as a visible color aura when activated. This represents the class of a Sinner and determines how deeply one can rewrite reality.
There are a total of six official color classes arranged in order of ascending power and utility:
🔴 RED. DEVOURER CLASS (UNSTABLE)
They absorb minor abilities temporarily, weakening other Sinners nearby and cause instability in reality. Red users often become hunted or monitored.
They are parasites in the weave. Red is the lowest yet also the most dangerous and predatory color.
🟠 ORANGE. DISTORTION CLASS
Users can slightly bend probability and physical consistency.
🟡 YELLOW. ENHANCER CLASS
Users reinforce existing story threads rather than change them.
⚪ WHITE. SHAPER CLASS
Users can reshape physical reality within localized zones, creating constructs or altering microscopic laws to produce effects on a larger scale.
🔵 BLUE. EDITOR CLASS
Users can edit abstract concepts such as rewriting probability outcomes, alter memories and perception and anchor or erase events
🟣 PURPLE. AUTHOR CLASS
Users can author entire narrative arcs. On the downside, there is a massive cost to identity, few survive long-term use and most Purple users disappear or become living myths. They are given the term, refer to as "Disasters."
⚫ BLACK. NULL CLASS (Unknown)
Not officially ranked. There is zero to no information about users of this category. However, they are often considered as "Calamities."
⟐ ABNORMALITY
A unique condition that allows the infected to perceive "narrative threads."
⟐ SINNER
Individuals who develop an abnormality inside their brain and gain the ability to use a form of Storyweave. They are vastly different from ordinary humans, and each possesses a unique power that reflects the way they perceive the world.
⟐ MANIFESTATION
Storyweave generally manifests in a single form, which becomes a Sinner's permanent method of altering the world around them. This form defines their abilities, limitations, and the way they interact with reality.
For example, Enhancers cannot use the power of "shaping" and Shapers cannot "enhance" themselves.
While Storyweave is powerful, it is not absolute.
• Scope – Effects are usually limited to the user's line of sight or awareness. Larger-scale changes require exponentially more energy and control.
• Feedback – The stronger or more improbable the change, the higher the risk of backlash, ranging from temporary fatigue to permanent corruption of the user's mind or body.
• Identity Cost – Extensive rewriting, especially at high ranks, can erode the user's sense of self. Purple users risk losing their identities entirely, sometimes merging with the narrative they manipulate.
• Emotional Dependency – Storyweave is strongly influenced by the user's perceptions, emotions, and worldview. A Sinner with fractured beliefs or unstable emotions will produce unpredictable or dangerous results.
⟐ NIGHTMARE CORRUPTION
When misuse or trauma accumulates, the weave mutates. Nightmares are corrupted story fragments that gain sentience, born from a reality distortion called "Fracture." According to analysis, Red Sinners spawn the most Nightmares.
⟐ ABSOLUTE TRANSMISSION (AT) FIELD
The Absolute Transmission Field, commonly referred to as the AT Field, is an invisible informational field naturally emitted by every Sinner.
It is the external projection of a Sinner's abnormality and mental structure, carrying fragments of their narrative interpretation into the surrounding environment. While invisible to ordinary humans, sensitive instruments and high-level Sinners can detect its presence.
The AT Field serves as the medium through which Storyweave interacts with reality.
Rather than directly rewriting the world, a Sinner first alters their AT Field, which then imposes those changes onto nearby narrative threads. The stronger and more stable the AT Field, the greater the range, clarity, and consistency of the Sinner's abilities.
In simple terms, the AT Field is the bridge between the mind and reality.
⟐ Properties of the AT Field
• Emission Radius
Each Sinner constantly emits an AT Field within a limited radius centered on their body. This range varies based on class, mental stability, and experience. Higher-ranked Sinners possess wider and denser fields, allowing their abilities to influence larger areas.
• Interference
When multiple AT Fields overlap, they interfere with each other. Stronger fields suppress weaker ones, causing abilities to weaken, distort, or fail entirely. This phenomenon explains why Red Sinners struggle near high-ranking users and why battles often become contests of field dominance rather than raw power.
• Residual Imprints
After heavy Storyweave usage, traces of an AT Field may linger in an area. These residual imprints can be analyzed to identify the user, reconstruct events, or detect potential Fracture zones where Nightmares may emerge.
• Stability Index
A stable AT Field produces precise and predictable effects. Unstable fields fluctuate, causing unintended distortions, emotional leakage, and increased risk of Nightmare Corruption. Red Sinners typically possess the most unstable fields.
⟐ AT Field Suppression
Specialized technology and trained operatives can disrupt or suppress AT Fields by introducing counter-frequency narrative noise. This weakens a Sinner's ability to project Storyweave and is commonly used in containment zones, prisons, and emergency response operations.
Prolonged suppression may cause mental strain and instability but prevents large-scale distortions.
⟐ Relation to Fractures and Nightmares
Areas saturated with unstable or overlapping AT Fields increase the likelihood of narrative instability. When stress exceeds a critical threshold, a Fracture may occur, allowing corrupted narrative fragments to manifest as Nightmares.
Repeated battles, uncontrolled Red activity, and emotional overload significantly accelerate Fracture formation.
