"Damnnnn!"I hate this man, I wish I could just disappear from here damn! I cursed again ,but I couldn't. I'm doing this for Mia, I can't back out now else Mia treatment will be kept on hold.
The thought of my mom leaving us so early gave us some traumas we can't forget.

I turned with a startled face looking at the man I have to spend three years with,"What!, can't you call me without shouting?,are you tryna bring down the roof or something".
" You think that was shouting, the main event's yet to happen! .Why are you still in your nighties huh?.
"Now what string are you tryna pull,what is, this time around?".
"I know you're daft,but don't try to act dumb with me. We are supposed to sign the contract today and you haven't showered let alone getting ready for us to get going".
"Ohhh shit!, I didn't know it was today , you didn't remind me".
"Oh,so now I'm supposed to remind you about everything huh".He scoffed and came so close to me that I could hear his breathing.I took a few steps back.
"I'm not scared of you, it's just a little mistake I'll get ready soon".
He just looked at me with his eyes as if he was going to murder me with them.
"Don't mess things up for me okay, if you wanna mess yourself up that's your fucking business is that clear?".
"Yes boss",I said in a mocking way,with that he left my room banging the door in my face.
Nick is just one man that I'd never believe even in my next world to come that I would be living with let alone marrying him "arrrrrrgg!"

We were done with the contract and now we got home that day I was very exhausted,my heels hurt alot i was really tired and just wanted to rest but it seems like Nick had other plans.
"Ruby"
I turned looking at him with my eyes devoid of vitality or enthusiasm.
"Yes".
"Sit",he said, commanding me like he was my boss or something.
"Now the contract has been signed, you do your stuff, I do my stuff, keep your distance,don't touch my stuff, I repeat don't touch my…" I didn't even let him finish before cutting him short.
"Waitttt! Firstly I keep my distance from you. I mean why won't I, and I don't and I won't touch your stuff ever moreover I the contract didn't say I'll quit my job so I can keep full distance away from okay".
Nick just looked at me "you know,sometimes I wonder what gives you the audacity and the guts to speak to me the way you do- no fear or respect."
"I was born like that" with that being said I stormed out of the living room and went to my room to rest.

"Ruby,I heard our new CEO will be here today, I heard he is in his early thirties and all the ladies are head over heels for him". My bestie Bella said with sparkles in her eyes
"Cut me some slacks,how would they be head over heels over just one man,it's not like he's going to even pick any of them" I said, letting go of her hands.
Well it wasn't like I wasn't anxious to also see our new boss but it just felt laid back. Though I was a bit worried because I was assigned to be his assistant.
"Our new boss is here". I heard one of my colleagues saying, I looked through the magnificent glass window and saw a Black Nissan GT-R car. It looked familiar but I didn't give it much of a thought.
"Ruby!" My managing director called out to me.I look at the man, sometimes I wonder if he is bald or his hair follicles were on vacation.
"Yes sir" I answered, rising to my feet.
"The CEO wants to see you right now".wth that he left back to his office.
"That's so quick Ruby what have you done" my best friend said looking at me awkwardly, I just cleared at her and walked away.
"Sir you called me".
"You were supposed to be done with the graphical presentation but im not seeing any file here"
I was more than speechless, how did it end as my husband's assistant, this was a nightmare I wished I never had.
"What in God's name are you doing here Mr.Nick Thomson?Are you tryna frustrate me?".
"I should be asking you that Miss Ruby banks"
"What do you mean by that, are you blind can't you see I work here,are you stalking me?".
"Stalking you?,like seriously I was stalking you, you'd be impressed by my dedication because obviously you're the one stalking me".

"Ruby!" "Are you lost?"I said, "bring me the files".

My best friend gasped "opps,seems like we're gonna be seeing alot of chemistry at work,don't worry it's not gonna be as bad as it looks okay".
