Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Capsule No. 21

Queens

"Boss, please allow me to formally introduce my proudest achievement."

"Hammer Industries' most devoted creation—

a next-generation, era-defining exoskeletal power armor."

"Reinforced stealth plating capable of rivaling the most advanced stealth fighter jets."

"But with a much smaller profile

meaning vastly superior flexibility on the battlefield."

"I've already contacted military command.

The first live-wear test will take place tomorrow."

"Good heavens! These children are my pride and joy

each unit valued at 125 million dollars!"

"There are a hundred prototype units here…

I admit, I got a little impatient…"

The moment they stepped into the factory—

Hammer reverted to his former self.

The trillion-dollar tycoon.

Chairman of Hammer Industries.

Its largest shareholder.

Standing before Renjie, he enthusiastically marketed his creations,

his words overflowing with pride.

He wanted to prove that his genius

was in no way inferior to Tony Stark.

Unfortunately

His self-indulgent rambling only made Renjie frown in irritation.

"That's enough. Stop talking."

"I'm not interested in trash. Don't waste my time."

Renjie raised a hand, cutting him off mid-sentence.

The merciless dismissal

instantly flushed Hammer's face crimson.

Indeed

Compared to truly terrifying android warriors,

Hammer Industries' so-called "prototypes"

were nothing more than scrap metal.

"Y–Yes! You're absolutely right!"

Hammer forced a miserable smile, awkwardly raising a thumbs-up in agreement.

He couldn't laugh.

His bitterness churned silently in his gut.

Billions of dollars per prototype.

Hundreds of billions poured into R&D.

All of it—

reduced to a single word:

Trash.

Even Tony Stark—the man he despised most

wouldn't dare say something like that to his face.

But what choice did he have?

Dejected, Hammer could only continue leading the way.

Before long, the group arrived at Hammer's private laboratory.

Yet what awaited them

was nothing more than a half-enclosed, empty space—

Completely bare.

"Boss, the timeline you gave me was simply too tight."

"The custom-built, top-tier CNC machines I ordered

are still en route.

They'll take another two or three days to arrive."

Hammer bowed deeply, rubbing his hands together apologetically.

But Renjie didn't seem bothered in the slightest.

"No. This is perfect."

Smiling, Renjie removed his black gloves

and placed them into Hammer's hands.

Under Hammer's confused gaze,

Renjie reached into his coat pocket

and took out a white metal case.

Opening it, he removed Capsule Android 21

And casually tossed it forward.

The instant the capsule hit the ground

A massive white intelligent CNC platform rapidly unfolded,

expanding outward until it occupied more than half the laboratory.

Humanoid mechanical arms sprang to life, moving with fluid precision.

Layer upon layer of virtual screens appeared before Renjie

And a sweet female voice echoed through the space.

"Artificial Intelligence Android 21.

Pleased to continue serving you."

A virtual avatar materialized on the screen

A beautiful brown-haired girl,

wearing an oversized white lab coat.

She saluted playfully toward Renjie.

The scene shattered all conventional understanding.

Hammer stared in disbelief, blurting out in shock—

"My God!"

"This is… this is unbelievable!"

"How did you even do this?!

This is—this is pure magic!"

His face flushed red with excitement,

his lips trembling uncontrollably.

Compressing a CNC platform spanning dozens of square meters,

weighing hundreds of tons—

Into a capsule no bigger than a thumb.

Carrying it on one's person.

This kind of god-defying technology—

Even Iron Man couldn't accomplish something like this!

"Rearranging atomic structures.

Reducing interatomic spacing."

"This technology has existed since the 1970s."

"But to master it—

to bring it into stable mass production—

would take several hundred more years."

"Just like the Wright brothers' first airplane

compared to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicarrier."

"It's a long journey."

Renjie spoke calmly, confidently—

And he had every right to.

Miniaturization technology.

Artificial intelligence.

Each one alone

was enough to usher in a new era.

And now

They had been realized simultaneously.

Not only Hammer

Even the surrounding technicians stopped what they were doing.

They crowded outside the laboratory,

staring in awe at the impossible scene before them.

Concerned about leaks of core technology,

Hammer immediately shouted for the staff to return to their posts.

But Renjie placed a hand on his shoulder,

reminding him gently of proper decorum.

"It's fine.

Let them broaden their horizons."

His voice was casual, unconcerned.

"But—"

Hammer was a businessman.

He understood the terror of such technology.

Greed from the outside world was inevitable.

"Heh. If you show a nuclear reactor blueprint to a bunch of monkeys

do you think they can build one?"

Renjie sneered mercilessly.

At least within this cinematic universe,

no one could replicate his technology.

Hammer scratched his head bitterly.

His vision was still far too narrow—

nowhere near the boss's level.

Technology that completely surpassed the current era

was, in itself, the greatest form of secrecy.

Just like Iron Man's armor.

With permission granted,

the staff maintained their composure.

They watched in silence

as the mysterious youth manipulated the virtual screens.

And next

What would happen inside this laboratory

would irrevocably alter

their otherwise ordinary lives.
