Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 — A Quasi-Dragon Disaster: The Deep Sea King’s Complete Form!

"Let me show you a little real skill, big fish."

Both hands shot forward. Ten fingers fired out strands of tough webbing that stuck to a nearby car.

With a violent yank, Spider-Man swung it like a flail and hurled it straight at the Deep Sea King.

Bang—

With a casual punch, the three-to-four-ton vehicle was smashed into scrap.

The Deep Sea King regarded Spider-Man's attack with utter contempt. A bit of web-slinging meant nothing to him.

"Is that your real skill, little spider? You might make a decent circus acrobat."

"Watch closely, fishhead. I'm going to slice off that disgusting tongue of yours."

"If you can, then try."

Spider-Man moved like a nimble cat, weaving and climbing along the walls in twisting paths.

Every so often, he fired webs to latch onto cars along the street, flinging them toward the Deep Sea King to disrupt his movements.

To the Deep Sea King, this harassment was like an annoying fly buzzing around his ears.

"Enough. I'm tired of playing, little spider."

"I've just about finished setting the stage, too."

Using the surrounding terrain, Spider-Man had secretly laid down dense layers of webbing, anchoring them to seven or eight nearby buildings.

Then he pulled with all his strength.

Spider-Man wasn't a super-genius like Tony Stark, but to ordinary people he was still an outstanding prodigy. His grasp of physics was more than sufficient for what he had planned.

The seven or eight buildings began to tremble as if their very foundations had been yanked loose.

Under Spider-Man's pull, they all tilted inward at once, collapsing toward the center as though to bury the Deep Sea King alive.

"Don't bother with these cheap tricks."

The Deep Sea King's muscles bulged grotesquely, his entire body turning into a mass of explosive power.

As the buildings came crashing down, he clenched his fists and began punching wildly upward.

Even without using full strength, each blow carried seven to eight hundred tons of force.

The shrieking sonic booms and the explosive shattering of reinforced concrete rang incessantly in Spider-Man's ears.

Tank shells couldn't harm the Deep Sea King—not even scratch his skin. Falling skyscrapers were even less of a threat.

"Do you understand now? In the face of absolute strength, tricks like this are meaningless—"

Crack—

His voice cut off abruptly.

At some unknown moment, Spider-Man had slipped beneath him. One hand grabbed the Deep Sea King's jaw and snapped it shut with brutal force.

Those razor-sharp teeth—capable of biting through titanium alloy—clamped down and severed his own moray-eel tongue.

"See that, fish? I took care of your nasty tongue for you."

Spider-Man raised an internationally recognized gesture—his middle finger—and sneered.

As if suffering a tremendous humiliation, the Deep Sea King's face darkened, veins bulging violently across his skin.

With terrifying force flooding his fists, he began hammering wildly at Spider-Man.

"Danger, danger!"

"But it's useless!"

"At this speed, I can still barely dodge!"

"Take this—web bind!"

Spider-Man dodged while continuously firing webs, wrapping the Deep Sea King layer after layer in tightening coils.

After roughly ten minutes of stalemate, thousands of layers of webbing had tightly bound the Deep Sea King's limbs into a giant white cocoon, leaving only his head exposed.

At some point, droplets of rain began to fall from the sky.

Then the drizzle rapidly turned into a torrential downpour.

"Hey, fishhead, you're officially captured. Tell your small-fry army to surrender already."

"Hah… hah… Excellent! Human, you have truly enraged me!"

"Hey, get a grip. You're my prisoner right now. Did the anger fry your brain?"

Spider-Man looked genuinely puzzled.

He clearly had the upper hand—so why was this guy still acting so arrogant?

Did the Deep Sea race have a completely different way of thinking from humans?

Suddenly, his spider-sense screamed with extreme danger. Every hair on his body stood on end.

He didn't know where the threat was coming from, but he instinctively leapt backward.

Snap— snap— snap—

The thousands of layers of webbing that had restrained the Deep Sea King began tearing apart one by one.

Was it an illusion, or had the Deep Sea King grown noticeably larger?

"My god… you've got to be kidding me."

"After coming onto land, my condition worsened greatly. But thanks to this rain, I feel revitalized once more."

"This is… really bad."

Feeling the increasingly terrifying aura radiating from the Deep Sea King, Spider-Man couldn't help but think that he must have chosen a terrible day to go out.

This monster was now on the verge of surpassing Demon-level.

It was approaching the realm of a Quasi-Dragon disaster.
