Karna and Shaurya soared through the sky, their hearts filled with a sense of wonder and anticipation. The newfound blessings of the Ashta Siddhis imbued Karna with a heightened awareness of his potential while also reminding him of the responsibility that came with such extraordinary powers.
Karna's thoughts turned to the eight powers coursing through his being as they flew. Aṇimā, the ability to become as small as an atom; Mahimā, the power to expand his form infinitely; Laghimā, the gift of weightlessness; Garimā, the capacity to become as heavy as a mountain; Prāpti, the realization of desires; Prākāmya, unrestricted travel across the world; Īśiṭva, control over natural forces; and Vaśiṭva, the power to influence others.
Karna closed his eyes and muttered, "Laghimā"
As Karna invoked the power of Laghimā, he felt a subtle shift in his being. The sensation was like a feather-light touch as if the very essence of gravity had loosened its grip on him. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, his body began to feel lighter, and his connection to the ground diminished.
With a gentle command from his mind, Karna willed himself upwards. His ascent was effortless, his form defying the conventional laws of physics as he rose higher into the sky. The sensation was both exhilarating and surreal as if he had become untethered from the earthly realm.
Shaurya, ever the loyal companion, adjusted his flight pattern to follow Karna's ascending figure. The majestic dragon's wings beat with a graceful rhythm, carrying him upwards as well. The two companions soared side by side, a harmonious duo embracing the boundless freedom that Laghimā provided.
As they reached a significant altitude, Karna couldn't help but marvel at the view that stretched out before them. The landscape below was a breathtaking tapestry of forests, rivers, and hills, all bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun. The world seemed to be a canvas of infinite possibilities, and Karna felt a deep sense of connection to its beauty.
"Karna, this power is truly remarkable," Shaurya's voice resonated in Karna's mind, their telepathic bond allowing them to communicate even in the vast expanse of the sky.
"It is," Karna replied with a sense of wonder. "Laghimā grants us the ability to rise above the constraints of gravity, to explore the heavens with ease."
Karna again closed his eyes and muttered, "Īśiṭva"
As Karna invoked the power of Īśiṭva, he felt a surge of energy coursing through his being. It was as if he had become one with the natural forces that governed the world around him.
The air itself seemed to respond to his command, carrying with it an aura of power and authority. Karna extended his arm, and a gust of wind obeyed his unspoken will, swirling around him in a mesmerizing dance.
Shaurya observed with a sense of awe as Karna manipulated the elements with such finesse.
His eyes reflected the understanding of the significance of this power—the ability to control the very forces that shaped the world. With a graceful motion, Karna directed the wind to weave intricate patterns in the air, creating an ethereal display of elemental mastery.
"Truly, the power of Īśiṭva grants you dominion over the natural world," Shaurya acknowledged, his voice tinged with admiration. "With such control, you possess the potential to shape reality itself."
Karna's expression was a mixture of humility and determination. "Indeed, Shaurya. But let us remember that these powers carry great responsibility. They must be used wisely and with a deep respect for the balance of the universe."
Their flight continued, Karna and Shaurya, exploring the skies with a sense of purpose and reverence. Each power they invoked, each moment they spent soaring above the world, deepened their connection not only to the Ashta Siddhis but to the very essence of creation itself.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm palette of colours across the sky, Karna and Shaurya gradually descended to the earth below. Massive gates stood before them, marking the entrance to the kingdom of Anga.
"HALT!!!"
A commanding voice echoed through the air, interrupting Karna and Shaurya's descent. They looked towards the source of the voice, and their eyes met the gaze of a group of heavily armoured guards standing before the gates of the kingdom.
"Who approaches the kingdom of Anga?" one of the guards demanded, his tone stern and vigilant.
"Oh, My name is Karna," Karna replied with a calm demeanour, his voice carrying an air of authority that was hard to ignore. He and Shaurya touched down gracefully before the guards, their presence commanding attention.
The guards exchanged glances, their initial sternness giving way to a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. Karna's reputation had preceded him, and his arrival, accompanied by the formidable white lion Shaurya, was a sight to behold.
"Karna? our soon-to-be King?"
Karna nodded in confirmation. "Yes, I am Karna, and I come for my coronation which will be held in a few days."
The guards exchanged another set of glances, their uncertainty giving way to realization and respect. The news of Karna's impending coronation had reached even the far corners of the kingdom, and his identity was not to be taken lightly.
The gates swung open with a resounding creak, revealing the grandeur of the kingdom of Anga beyond.
"We apologize for the misunderstanding, Lord Karna," the lead guard spoke, bowing his head slightly. "We were not informed of your arrival. Please allow us to escort you to the palace immediately."
Karna nodded appreciatively. "Thank you for your understanding. Lead the way."
The guards led Karna and Shaurya through the majestic gates of the kingdom of Anga, their armour-clad forms forming a protective escort. As they walked through the bustling streets, Karna couldn't help but take in the sights and sounds of the vibrant city.
Shaurya's figure attracted the attention of the townspeople, who watched in awe as the majestic white lion moved with an air of regal poise.
Whispers and murmurs of excitement spread through the crowd, confirming that news of Karna and his powerful companion had reached even the common citizens.
The guards guided them through the bustling city streets, where merchants peddled their wares and children played with wide-eyed curiosity. The architecture was a blend of intricate designs and vibrant colours, a testament to the kingdom's rich history and culture.
Finally, they arrived at the grand palace of Anga, its towering spires and ornate facades reflecting the kingdom's wealth and power.
The guards led Karna and Shaurya through the palace gates, and they entered a breathtaking courtyard adorned with lush gardens and elegant fountains.
At the centre of the courtyard stood a few figures who after seeing became missiles and blurred across the courtyard towards Karna. In just a few moments Karna was on the ground with four feminine bodies hugging him.
Amidst the whirlwind of embraces, Karna managed to recognize the familiar faces that had rushed towards him. They were Kamini, Brinda, Kali, and Draupadi his 'friends'.
"Karna, you're finally here!" Kamini exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement as she pulled back from the hug, her hands still firmly gripping his shoulders. "We've been eagerly awaiting your arrival."
Karna's lips curved into a warm smile as he looked at his friends. "I'm glad to be here, Kamini. It warms my heart to see all of you."
Brinda, always the more composed of the group, stepped forward and hugged Karna, her embrace conveying a sense of genuine affection. "It's been too long, Karna. We've missed you."
"Wait a minute, When did you come Draupadi and how did you become friends with these three?"
Draupadi grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with a playful glint. "Well, let's just say fate has its way of bringing people together. Our paths crossed during my travels, and we formed an unexpected bond. These three have proven to be quite the companions."
Karna's eyebrows raised in amused surprise. "I see. It seems you've made some interesting connections, Draupadi."
Kali, with her characteristic enthusiasm, couldn't contain her excitement any longer and practically tackled Karna in a bear hug. "You have no idea how thrilled we are that you're finally here! We've been preparing for your coronation with so much anticipation."
Karna laughed warmly, returning Kali's embrace. "It's good to know that I have such supportive friends by my side. Your presence makes my return to Anga even more special."
Kamini, Brinda, and Draupadi eventually released Karna from their enthusiastic hugs, and the courtyard was filled with their laughter and camaraderie.
"Oh I almost forgot it, Karna lets go to your mother to meet her. She still doesn't know that you came."
Karna's expression softened with a mixture of gratitude and anticipation. "Yes, you're right. I should visit my mother first. Her happiness will be immeasurable when she sees me."
"Let's Go!"
