" Hi Mister," spoke the little demon with glee. After so many years of being fascinated and being around this man Zaril'n had developed quite the human tongue for speech.
" Demon!" shrieked the man looking horrified.
Zaril'n smiled.
" Hello little Zaril'n," the man said changing his emotion faster than a second.
This was a norm for Zaril'n, some moons when he visited the man he shrieked out backing away, but faster than Zaril'n could process the man would then returned to a caring person.
" what brought you here?" the man asked looking at the little demon with his very small horns.
" Nothing really," Zaril'n grinned feeling shy under the man's soft gaze.
While Zaril'n was in Demon lands on the tenth floor, house to the weakest of demons. It was rocky lands stretched as far as the eye could see, caves and caverns were the house, and there were also massive boulders.
Zaril'n had always wondered why a Human was in a Demon's land. When human are sinners they are usually within their own domain, in different sections of their sins.
Humans who are sinners can in fact become demons over time.
A gate opens to the land of the sinners and if a Human has enough sin they are accepted to pass through the gate and depending on how much sin they are sent to any of the Demon floor.
But this Human that Zaril'n was so fascinated with seemed to had travel the entire way to the Demon floor from land of the sinners, and if so it must have taken him hundred, or maybe even over a thousand years just to reach the tenth floor, but why?
Obviously the man wasn't a demon as he had all his humanly features, while Zaril'n had never seen a human before this one, but he had heard stories and good enough the figure before him had match one of a human.
But how was this man in the land of the sinners and crossing onto demon floors, the man looked kind, gentle and honest. So why was he in hell?
" Is that so," the man chuckled gently.
" Well yes sir. I came to visit you. It's the truth," Zaril'n answered.
" I believe you Zaril'n, for a demon you sure like your honesty," the man responded with a smile. " How odd,"
" Well then would you like a story ?"
" Yes please," answered Zaril'n beaming with interest.
Zaril'n had always been fascinated with the human world, when he had met this man it was his first encounter with a human. The man had been on the tenth floor for quite some time and Zaril'n didn't show him the way to leave, not because he was obsessed with humans, but instead he was afraid what would become of this human.
" Well then let me tell you how humans got there Divine gifts. A long, long time ago when men lived in fear, where stone and sticks were weapons and soon came swords,"
" Everyday people died, got injured adults and children were missing. Live stock died and crops fail, but one day when I could no longer take it I gathered a few friends and we climbed to the highest point we knew back then,"
"And we prayed, and prayed, and prayed; and well that's how human got their Divine gifts. I was one of the first humans to be blessed," the man explained slowly, the gentleness faded from his eyes showing sadness, maybe sorrow, but one thing was certain was that they carried so much pain, but how was there still kindness.
Zaril'n had heard this tale many times before, but each time was as just as excited. There was so many to the Human world and Zaril'n could hardly build a fragment to put an image together.
He heard of colours and animals, waters and plants, insects and many human customs, dancing colorful lights that were called stars, and even shooting stars the one's that flew, there was a big one that was only seen at day called the sun and so much more, but none he could imagine, but each word was beautiful when told. Zaril'n thought how lucky humans were.
" I can't wait to go up there," Zaril'n exhaled looking up.
The man saw the pure admiration in the little demon's eyes.
" Maybe Hell's easy than earth Zaril'n. Man will look at you with Angelic eyes while plotting your demise,"
" Man. what unique creations we are," muttered the man.
" The world you describe is far too beautiful for me to believe that human can be that wicked. You are a human after all sir,"
" Demons are born from human sins Zaril'n,"
" But not all Sir," came Zaril'n's response as they both met eyes.
" Are you sure you're a Demon?" asked the man looking at Zaril'n.
" Of course I am, I have the horns to prove," answered Zaril'n bowing his head a bit.
" And humans hate Demons, that you know too right?"
" Yes. But many Demons love humans,"
" Hahaha," laughed the man loud. " You poor child," the man sighed to get the rest of the laugh off his chest.
" Listen Zaril'n, You can give man a soul and he'll find ways to get it sold. The way of man confuses man, even himself Zaril'n. That's what demon loves about humans, their flesh, their sins, but most of all their confusions and contradictions,"
"And young demon if you do get to the land of Humans tell nothing that breathes that you are of demon blood," the man said kindly, but a warning was within his words.
Zaril'n nodded, he understood this much, everything else the man said was just too much to consume. The man would talk about the beauty of the human world, his love and family, and his love for prayer, but then he would trail off speaking in code while telling how evil humans were.
The man kept at his stories until Zaril'n drifted to sleep. When Zaril'n woke up it was the first shade of red on the moon. Zaril'n hopped to his feet, this man's stories had always given him soundless sleep. Zaril'n looked around where he did not see the man.
" Mister!?" Zaril'n called looking to the left.
" Sir!?" he shouted louder carrying his head to the right.
" Mr. Ehzia!" he called again standing to his feet.
Zaril'n ran around the area calling out to Ehzia, but then he stopped remembering that when Ehzia walked he left a faint trail of an unfamiliar colour. Zaril'n kept his eyes to the ground looking and finally he saw it. He didn't let a second pass following the trail.
Finally Zaril'n saw the man, he was surrounded by demons.
" Ehzia!"
The group of demons turned to the new sound of voice. Zaril'n didn't care seeing there numbers as he tracked straight towards them now standing a few steps away.
Ehzia stood in the middle surrounded by demons of all height and built.
" So this is your little human treasure," a demon about 5ft snickered.
" More like his god," another demon of similar height added with a little laugh of his own.
" I am not a god," clarified Ehzia instantly, but his voice was very controlled. It was the first time he spoke ever since being surrounded.
The group of demons laughed sensing seriousness.
" So don't you'a want to be a god?"
" No," answered Ehzia flatly.
The Demons laughed again.
" Lies," one of the demons snapped with his jagged teeth at his own words.
" All you humans are the same, such liars. You are in hell after all and some how crossing into demon land from land of sinners. You human have more that enough sin to walk among demons," the demon said looking up with his sharp eyes to meet Ehzia's eyes that were hard to read.
" Just leave him alone Ge'l," said Zaril'n pushing to the front.
" Don't talk'a to me'a in that tongue,"
snapped the demon named Ge'l slapping Zaril'n away hard. Zaril'n crashed to the ground tumbling from the impact his arm bleeding. " Fix'a dat tongue before speaking'a to me'a," added Ge'l sounding serious.
The other demons chuckled, they all were looking at Zaril'n and Zaril'n felt somewhat scared to get up and do anything.
" Now'a," said Ge'l looking around to face Ehzia, but he saw no one. His eyes were wide open.
" Are you okay Zaril'n?" Asked Ehzia helping the little demon up.
" thank you,"
All the demons were stunned snapping their heads to the direction. Unbelievable it was as no one saw when the human moved.
Ge'l grit his teeth his eyes furious.
" How dare you'a!"
" Get'a him'a!" roared Ge'l.
All the demons started on uproar rushing to Ehzia. When they were no more than five steps away Ehzia spoke.
" Don't touch me," he spoke gently.
All the demons flinched instantly stopping as if they were controlled, but they weren't. Ehzia's voice was so calm they couldn't help themselves, but to obey.
" What you'a all doing!?"
"He'a said'a not to a touch'a him'a," answered a demon from the crowd.
" Idiots'a!" shouted Ge'l in frustration marching to the front, but when he was the human spoke again.
" I am not a god nor a demon. I am here as a punishment and I travel to the demons lands with love as vision and guidance. I pray for forgiveness with each step I take going further within demon lands. What I am is a man, and what I am is a sinner. I am man, I walk the way which god hates and still pray for forgiveness," spoke Ehzia and all the demons were silent.
" Let's go Zaril'n," said Ehzia pulling on Zaril'n's arm gently.
Zaril'n looked up at Ehzia who had his eyes forward and then he looked behind him were the demons still stood.
" Humans are amazing, especially Mister Ehzia," thought Zaril'n before smiling shyly.
