The kitchen was busy when Shuu and Princess Danielle entered it. The cooks noticed them but chose to ignore them in favor of continuing to cook.
It was an odd situation, and Shuu never thought he would ever see a member of the imperial family be ignored openly. But it was happening, and Princess Danielle seemed used to it.
She coughed, and the head cook finally noticed her and walked over to her with a frown on his face.
"What do you want, Princess Danielle? Can't you see that I and my cooks are busy?"
The head cook sounded beyond rude and fearless. He also held his head high, knowing fully well that the kitchen was his domain and nothing could change unless he got on Lady Sera's bad side.
But as long as she was on his side, his position was secure.
"I am not here to argue with you today. I just need to check with you about the menu for the tea party in the next two days. Do you have a list of items you can prepare?"
She asked, and the chef frowned.
