Chapter 2 - Why Are The Rewards So Naughty?

Ye Chen's eyebrows shot up in shock.

His mind raced as he absorbed the implications of what he was seeing.

In this world, techniques and artifacts were ranked from First to Ninth Grade, with Ninth being the absolute pinnacle.

Physiques followed the same ranking system. Everyone was born with the weakest constitution, the First Grade Mud Body, though some could awaken stronger physiques through innate bloodlines, fortuitous encounters, or breakthrough moments.

The truly blessed were born with higher-grade physiques from the start.

But a Fourth Grade physique? That was extraordinary.

People with Third Grade physiques were already considered geniuses at most cultivation academies.

Fourth Grade was the kind of talent that major sects would start feuds to recruit.

The higher one's physique grade, the faster they absorbed spiritual energy, the more efficiently they cultivated, and the stronger their foundation became.

With this Pure Yang Sacred Body, he wouldn't just survive at Tianlong University, he could actually thrive. His destiny had genuinely changed in an instant.

His excitement building, Ye Chen focused on the second reward.

[Heaven and Earth Unification Art: This is a Third Grade dual cultivation technique, enhancing cultivation through sexual intercourse.]

For a moment, Ye Chen simply stared at the description. Then a grin spread across his face.

A Third Grade cultivation technique!

Most students at the university would be practicing Second Grade techniques at best. Purchasing a Third Grade technique from the market would cost hundreds of thousands of spirit stones, which was completely beyond his reach before today.

Combined with his Pure Yang Sacred Body, the Heaven and Earth Unification Art would allow him to cultivate at an unprecedented speed.

Other students would spend years grinding through the lower realms while he rocketed past them. This was the kind of advantage that separated the ordinary from the legendary.

But then his smile slowly withered away as the details of his rewards truly sank in.

Both rewards were focused on... dual cultivation.

The Pure Yang Sacred Body made him a "perfect cauldron" for it. The Heaven and Earth Unification Art explicitly required sexual intercourse to function. Everything was centered around that particular method of cultivation.

"Why are both rewards so... naughty?" he muttered, scratching his head.

Was this intentional? The system was called the Perfect Life Sign-in System, but perfect for whom exactly? It seemed to have very specific ideas about what constituted perfection.

Then again, maybe he was overthinking this.

Dual cultivation was a legitimate path, even if orthodox society looked down on it. And the rewards themselves were undeniably powerful. Who cared if the method was unconventional, as long as it worked?

Besides, it wasn't as if he hadn't been looking forward to dual cultivation anyways. Hehe.

Ye Chen stepped out of the decrepit building, squinting against the brilliant morning sunlight.

The city was already alive with activity as cars drove down the streets and pedestrians hurried along sidewalks towards their destinations.

At first glance, it could have been any major city from Earth. Then a cultivator shot overhead on a gleaming flying sword, his robes billowing dramatically in the wind. Another flew in the opposite direction, dressed in a suit.

A shop across the street displayed spirit pills in its window, their soft glow visible even in daylight.

Ignoring the now familiar sight, Ye Chen flagged down a taxi, giving the driver the address for Tianlong Cultivation University.

Before long, the taxi pulled up to the university's massive gates, where the words "Tianlong Cultivation University" were inscribed above it.

After paying the fare, wincing slightly at the cost despite his newly increased wealth, Ye Chen joined the stream of freshmen flowing towards the orientation hall.

Hundreds of young cultivators converged on the massive building, their excited chatter filling the air.

As he walked, Ye Chen noticed something odd. Whispers rippled through the crowd around him.

Female students glanced in his direction, their cheeks flushing pink before they quickly looked away. Groups of girls clustered together, stealing repeated glances and giggling behind their hands.

"Did you see him?"

"So handsome..."

"Those eyes are incredible."

Ye Chen caught his reflection in a nearby window. He had to admit, the original owner of this body had been blessed in at least one department.

His face was strikingly handsome, with sharp features softened by youth. Black hair framed his face perfectly, and his blue eyes seemed to catch and hold the light.

A small grin appeared on his face. At least he wouldn't have to worry about first impressions.

Inside the orientation hall, controlled chaos reigned. Multiple registration booths had been set up, each with long lines of freshmen waiting to complete their enrollment.

Ye Chen picked a booth and joined the queue, trying to be patient as it crawled forward.

When he finally understood why the line moved so slowly, he couldn't help but sympathize with the male students ahead of him.

Manning the booth was a breathtakingly beautiful young woman who looked to be in her early twenties. She processed each student efficiently, her expression never wavering from professional politeness.

"That's Lin Yue, one of the Four Flowers of Tianlong University."

"I heard she has a Fourth Grade physique. Insane talent."

"Yeah, but she's called the Ice Beauty for a reason. Nobody can get close to her."

Ye Chen observed her as the line slowly moved forward.

Lin Yue was indeed stunning. Long, silky black hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes were intelligent.

Her figure was perfect, accentuated by the form-fitting dress she wore. Her most important features were her impressive breasts. Every eye on the line seemed to be glued to them.

But there was something untouchable about her. A coldness in her bearing that kept admirers at a respectful distance.

Finally, it was his turn.

"Name?" Lin Yue asked, her voice as cool as her reputation suggested.

"Ye Chen."

Her fingers flew across a tablet, pulling up his information. She verified his identity, registered his basic details, and then looked up at him with those piercing eyes.

"Cultivation level and physique assessment. Please touch the stone on the left."

Ye Chen placed his palm on the smooth crystal. It began to glow, soft light swirling around it. Then, blazing characters appeared above it.

Fourth Level of Qi Gathering

Laughter erupted throughout the hall. The sound was cruel and mocking, echoing off the high ceilings.

"Fourth level? Is this kid serious?"

"How did someone so weak even get accepted?"

"Most of us are at ninth level Qi Gathering or already Foundation Establishment cultivators!"

"What a waste of a spot!"

Ye Chen's jaw tightened, but he kept his expression neutral. He knew the cultivation realms well enough now.

There were nine known major realms. Qi Gathering, Foundation Establishment, Sea Opening, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Hollow God, Transformation God, Void Stepping Immortal, and Great Emperor. Each realm contained nine levels of progression.

Being at the fourth level of Qi Gathering meant he was pathetically weak by university standards.

Most freshmen had spent years preparing, boosted by their families' resources, reaching at least the ninth level of Qi Gathering. The more talented ones had already broken through to Foundation Establishment before even arriving.

He was already far behind.

Lin Yue's expression didn't change. If she found his weakness amusing or pathetic, she gave no indication.

"Touch the second stone for physique assessment," she said, gesturing to another crystal.

The crowd was already losing interest, their mockery trailing off into dismissive mutters.

"No point even checking. It's definitely Mud Body Physique."

"Poor and weak. Tragic combination."

"I give him a month before he drops out."

Ignoring them all, Ye Chen pressed his hand against the physique assessment stone. It flared to life, glowing far more intensely than the cultivation stone had.

The light grew brighter and brighter, until everyone in the hall was forced to look.

Then the words appeared, blazing in golden characters that seemed to burn in the air.

Fourth Grade Pure Yang Sacred Body

Silence filled the orientation hall.

Even Lin Yue's carefully controlled expression cracked. Her eyes widened fractionally, genuine shock flickering across her beautiful face.

Then the temperature plummeted. A suffocating cold aura descended upon the entire hall, pressing down on everyone like an invisible weight.

Freshmen stumbled, gasping. Even senior students looked uncomfortable.

Then an authoritative voice filled the air.

"Student Ye Chen..."
