[Hanabi: Tsk. Otto once believed that immortals must possess the power to change the fate of others.]

[Hanabi: But what he didn't expect was that immortals, just like himself, were nothing more than slaves imprisoned by fate and obsession, bound to the past.]

[Furina: Sigh… so hope has finally been shattered.]

[Sangonomiya Kokomi: Nineteen years have passed… has Otto's greatest hope really collapsed just like that?!]

[Kafka: The Ember Project? Information from the Previous Era?]

[Silver Wolf: Otto seems to have found a new direction? Herrschers?]

[Kiana: Wait… I have a really bad feeling about this…]

[Tesla: Damn it, Otto has set his sights on the Herrschers!]

[Welt (Star Rail): This is how Otto's later plans unfolded.]

[Herta: Indeed. This time, Otto's direction wasn't wrong.]

[Herta: Under the Will of Honkai, if you want to change anything, you can only start from Honkai itself and the origin of the world.]

The members of the chat group watched the plot unfold with growing unease.

It was obvious.

Although Fu Hua's help had been significant,

the shattering of hope during the Divine Land journey still left a deep impact on Otto.

Or rather—

Through decades of pursuit, repeatedly grasping hope only to see it destroyed,

the humanity within Otto was gradually worn away.

He assisted Fu Hua in carrying out the Ember Project, while simultaneously controlling the pace of humanity's accelerated technological development, and excavating Divine Key relics across the world, taking them for himself.

And so, time quietly flowed on amid this endless search.

Until the year 1543.

[The girl jointly adopted by Kallen and Otto—Willa—passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her death, like her life, was utterly ordinary.]

[Willa worshiped Otto with a fervor akin to reverence for God. She even placed Otto's name before her own.]

[People mocked her dullness and eccentric behavior, speculating endlessly about her relationship with Otto. Yet Willa never explained, nor did she care to.]

[As a loyal warrior, she only needed to stubbornly carry out every order Otto gave her, orbiting him like the stars around the sun, indifferent to the dust's whispers.]

[Some said that cold iron beat within Otto Apocalypse's chest. Yet for Willa, this heartless Otto was merely an indulgent elder brother.]

[He personally taught Willa how to read and write, and had Valkyries instruct her in combat techniques. Though her talent was limited and she was destined never to become a Valkyrie, Otto showed extraordinary patience.]

[On the day she died—]

[Otto engraved these words upon Willa's gravestone: "Otto·Willa. I give you the name you loved most."]

[To Otto, what lay buried in that grave was not merely Otto·Willa, but his bond with Kallen—and the very last thread tying him to humanity.]

In an instant!

As they watched Otto's calm, indifferent expression before Willa's grave, carving the name Otto·Willa into stone,

everyone in the chat group felt their hearts sink.

Otto's final connection to humanity had been buried along with her.

A heavy weight pressed down on their chests.

Many of them had already begun to sense it—

the Otto they once knew, familiar yet terrifying…

was about to return.

Within the pure white space,

Kallen, upon seeing Willa's gravestone, also felt her heart clench.

She knew Willa had passed away peacefully in her sleep.

But losing someone so close—someone she regarded as a younger sister—was still deeply sorrowful.

And of course,

the one suffering the most at this moment was undoubtedly Otto.

"Otto… you took such good care of Willa too… thank you… truly, thank you…"

Kallen murmured softly into the empty white space.

Willa's life,

under Otto's protection, had been safe and smooth.

And at the very end,

she had received what she desired most—what was most precious to her.

Otto's surname.

That name was the bond and familial affection between Willa and Otto.

All of this filled Kallen with both guilt and deep relief.

But what Kallen didn't know—

was that this would be one of the last remaining proofs of warmth Otto would ever show.

When Kallen sensed Otto's inner thoughts—

the moment he severed his final attachment to humanity—

her heart tightened abruptly.

[Honkai · Himeko: Otto… is he finally going to become the version we hate the most…]

[March 7th: Without realizing it… I almost forgot what Otto used to be like???]

[Durandal: Even so… the Archbishop back then felt more human…]

[Silver Wolf: Looks like as time passed, Otto's humanity was slowly ground away…]

[Paimon: There really is some truth to the saying—old ginger is spicier!]

[Lumine: Paimon… that's not how you use that phrase… (facepalm)]

[Rita: The Archbishop of the past did indeed feel warmer.]

[Xianyun: Under the erosion of time, has Otto finally lost the last of his humanity…]

[Ningguang: (thinking) It's probably not just time—his obsession with reviving Kallen played a role too.]

After Willa's death,

Otto's humanity and warmth were completely worn away.

He became increasingly cold, increasingly driven by pure benefit.

Even as he continued to elevate human technology

and faithfully fulfilled his duties in the fight against Honkai,

the chat group could still feel a chilling undercurrent gathering.

[Over five hundred years, Otto used soulium technology to replace his entire body, inside and out, with a soulium construct.]

[Beyond that, he prepared a large number of spare soulium bodies. In another sense, Otto had already achieved immortality.]

[At this point, he was no longer merely human—he was closer to a mental entity, a soul-form existence, an inhuman being based on information itself.]

[Over these five centuries, Schicksal's excavation of relics from the Previous Era accelerated human civilization, and Hua's Ember Project progressed smoothly.]

[And as civilization advanced, Honkai naturally descended once more—the Herrscher Otto yearned for was finally born.]

[The First Herrscher! The Herrscher of Reason! Walter Joyce!]

[1953–1955]

[Otto and Walter Joyce became pen pals. Otto's letters saved Joyce from a mental breakdown. The two engaged in "green-plum wine talks," discussing ideals and ambitions. Otto hoped to use Joyce's power to lead Schicksal and defeat Honkai—but was rejected.]

"...No need."

"...Hm?"

"If you truly intend to persuade me to do something, then next time, please don't be so self-righteous."

"You don't understand anything."

"..."

"Did I… say something wrong?"

"...No. You didn't say anything wrong at all."

"But precisely because of that, I find myself even more unable… to trust you right now."

"..."

"I see. Then… perhaps time will give you an answer."

"...Farewell."

"...Goodbye, my friend."

[November 24, 1955 (The Thanksgiving Incident)]

[To eliminate scientific forces beyond his control, Otto tampered with Moonlight Throne data, resulting in Edison's death and Schrödinger's Honkai beast transformation.]

[Otto clashed head-on with the Herrscher of Reason, Walter Joyce, destroying the Star of Eden. Margarita used a soulium inhibitor given by Fu Hua to restrain Otto, while Joyce manifested the Oath of Judah to drive him back.]

["Otto Apocalypse… no—Clown Alpha! Witness the sight of the stars being shattered!"]

[Walter Joyce, the Herrscher who fought for humanity, was ultimately murdered by Otto Apocalypse at 11:50 a.m. on November 24, 1955, in Manhattan, New York, after breaking free of Otto's control.]

[1956: Otto dissolved the Council and implemented absolute rule over Schicksal.]

[1959–1969: Schicksal and Anti-Entropy jointly investigated the Moon and discovered ruins on its far side. Both factions agreed to halt exploration.]

On the screen,

the deeds of the First Herrscher Walter Joyce, Valkyrie Ragna, and Dr. Edison were brought up once more.

A tragedy already revealed in the evaluation of the first Walter

played out again.

The only difference—

was that this time, the protagonist had become Otto Apocalypse.

A cold Archbishop whose humanity had been eroded by time and obsession.

The ruler of the world's largest anti-Honkai military organization.

A madman—a clown—who would stop at nothing to resurrect Kallen.

Even witnessing these scenes for a second time,

the chat group still felt overwhelming sorrow.

The heroic sacrifice of Walter Joyce and others,

the Herrscher who shone with humanity under Otto's ruthless decisions—

these stirred both sympathy and rekindled fury among the viewers.

The current Otto

and the Otto from five hundred years ago—

the one who overthrew Schicksal's tyranny, built orphanages, and traveled tens of thousands of miles across the Divine Land—

could no longer be considered the same person.

[1972]

Otto finally did the one thing he had long hesitated over—

Kallen's clone.

To Otto, Kallen was the one and only saint—an existence whose sanctity could never be sullied.

But years of waiting had exhausted his spirit, leaving it on the brink of collapse.

The Herrscher path proved impossible in the short term.

Otto needed a spiritual anchor—something to soothe his utterly drained heart.

Inside Schicksal Headquarters.

A figure appeared—Theresa, her face filled with confusion.

"Where… is this place? Who am I?"

From the internal communications,

Otto's voice sounded.

"A-310 test subject confirmed. Experiment successful."

"Vital signs normal. Honkai adaptability at 69%. Hmm… a subtle result."

"A-310? Is that my name? And who are you?"

A-310's face was filled with bewilderment.

Instantly!

The chat group erupted!

The people of Teyvat were also flooded with explanatory knowledge via the screen.

[Keqing: Wait… a clone?!]

[Furina: This… even if the clone is perfect, it's not the same person!]

[Furina: Fake is still… fake… (suddenly dejected)]

[Raiden Mei: Principal?!]

[Kiana: Theresa… A-310?! What… what is going on?!]

[Ningguang: Theresa… the Principal is actually Kallen's clone?!]

[Kafka: Otto has finally reached this step.]

[March 7th: Why… why did it have to be this way!!]

[Hanabi: When a person's spirit is on the verge of collapse, they can't survive without an emotional anchor.]

[Raiden Ei: Other than Kallen, is there truly nothing else he cares about?]

[Honkai · Himeko: Otto… just as detestable as ever…]

[Welt Yang (Star Rail): A madman who has lost his reason.]

[Theresa: But… actually, Grandpa treats me very well.]

At St. Freya Academy,

Theresa had just arrived back in her room.

Watching the flood of messages condemning Otto in the chat group,

she knew that as time passed,

Grandpa had grown increasingly cold and ruthless.

But honestly speaking—

his care for her wasn't merely indulgence.

And it certainly wasn't just because her genes came from Saint Kallen.

Theresa could clearly—unmistakably—feel Otto's doting affection.

Whenever there was a truly dangerous mission, Otto would never allow her to take part.

So seeing all the accusations in the chat,

Theresa instinctively spoke up in his defense—

completely forgetting that she was still in the middle of a quarrel with him.

Inside Schicksal Headquarters,

Otto happened to see Theresa's defense as well. He shook his head and chuckled softly, his gaze gentle.

"Heh…"

On screen,

the experiment from back then continued.

Watching the newly born A-310,

Otto showed great interest.

"Capable of semantic analysis and conversation immediately after birth?"

"Why is this subject different from the others—why does she want to know her own name?"

"Could it be that she has truly developed self-awareness?"

Otto murmured to himself.

"Hehe… A-310. If you can pass the trials I've prepared for you—"

"I'll tell you my name. And I'll grant you yours."

"Grant me… a name?"

The bewildered A-310 seemed to be analyzing the meaning of "name."

Yet toward Otto,

she showed no fear or resistance at all.

"That's enough explanation. Remember—if you want everything, then fight."

"But once you fail, you lose everything."

"Among you, only one is permitted to live."

The next second!

Before A-310 could react,

countless Honkai beasts flooded the battlefield.

Almost as if carved into her instincts,

she seized the imitation Oath of Judah from her back and charged into battle!

Clearly!

The strength of Kallen's genes revealed itself!

Even forced into combat the moment she was born,

A-310 quickly adapted!

"It hurts… my arm…"

Though injured,

the Honkai beasts before her were successfully defeated!

Otto's voice rang out once more.

"A-310 test subject, Tank-class Honkai beast defeated. Time: 30 seconds."

"Other than a fractured right arm, no additional injuries. Mm. Excellent data."
