The river that flows to no end

As Jane sat in between her parents facing the man himself. Victory Sullivan, from the Sullivan family, a family that have a lot of secrets that never seen by naked eye, and right now he's sitting before Jane and her parents. And for what exactly? For marriage. Yeah Victory Sullivan himself looking for a wife, instead of having noble and rich woman, he chose Jane Doe. Even though her family was rich, it was a quiet family with one child, which is Jane Doe. Is there marriage based on love? Or something different? The questions only rises without answers. As Jane sat there confused, "I want a marriage proposal with Jane Doe your only daughter" said victory with his calm expression "what,why? I have everything I need here" said Jane confused, her mother took her hand gently patting it " calm down dear let the grown up talk" said Mrs Does then she took a deep breath "are you insane!! She's my only daughter, she has everything she needs here" said Mrs Doe with more outburst. But victory? Victory remained calm as ever like knowing this was going to happen "Mrs Doe, Mr Doe this is a good proposal between two families, my mother always wanted a daughter in law, silent, nice and obedient girl" said victory calmly. Jane turned her head shocked at victory's words, okay I can be quiet and polite but did he say obedient girl do I look like a puppet to him. Jane almost wanted to jump onto him and give him a good slap on the face, maybe two slaps, but took a deep breath knowing getting into the Sullivan's bad side is like sending yourself to the afterlife. "Victory with all due respect Jane is my only daughter" said Jane's father Mr Doe with a calm voice that is able to come out from his throat. "The benefits are that she gets more things, more protection, and I heard miss Jane is a graceful, polite young lady she's famous in the internet and this will bring stronger bond between two families" said victory leaving no room for objections, victory is a calm, cold but never patient man every passing second is every second that he is getting impatient and everyone knows that." Fine, I Jane Doe agree to the proposal" said Jane getting shocked expressions from her parents." Are you sure miss Doe? That's it, tomorrow is the wedding day. Where Jane won't be be Jane Doe but Jane Sullivan. And she needs to be ready for everything they throw at her, what would be the impression from her in laws?
